Don't jaaaa in Transcorp o, not especially when respite is coming your way.
I'm glad you didn't sell at massive loss of over 50% if your cost/breakeven price is around 1.30 ......going by your above post.
You should remember the much talked about Afam power over 50% acquisition of last year or 2018 (can't remember well now), was finally signed by the FG.
Just leave it to make some profits on it.......even when there's small pullback in the course of going up, it might likely still get to 2.......we keep watching it. smiley
And you didn't tell me all these before I sold at almost 50% loss. Make I jejely update my online village people register... grin grin grin

Which ASUU?
ASUU that I will break up in the first week if I am president.
How can employees be dictating to their employers? If they don't like their employers policies, then they can resign. Do they try this rubbish at private universities?

Give a live broadcast
Tell all ASUU members to report back to work the next Monday.
Give all ASUU executives at the national, state, and university levels 48hrs to publicly resign from their ASUU positions and denounce the union.
Tell them that those that fail to report back to work (without good reason) and executives that fail to resign will be sacked and sanctioned in the following ways. Passports seized or rendered invalid. Their bank accounts will be frozen. They will be forever blacklisted from working at any government owned institution in Nigeria, be it federal or state. Any state that goes against this and employs any blacklisted staff will be made to forfeit their monthly allocation. The blacklist will also extend to the private sector. Any private entity that employs them will be sanctioned. If you as a bank employment then, then get ready to say goodbye to all government accounts and funds in your bank. If you as a construction company or auditing firm hire them, get then say goodbye to government contracts. Not only will government business be taken away from such private firms, government business will also be taken away from other private firms that patronize these sanctioned private firms. The DSS can even get involved to make ASUU top executives start "disappearing" and getting "kidnapped by unknown gunmen"

Sorry, i just saw this.

The reason is this. You should be looking at total returns to your money.

Most stocks that have December as their financial end of year, their share price rises to the highest value in January, after January it starts dropping.

So using Zenith as an example, the share price is probably going to peak in January, after that it will loose close to 10% of the January high.

In other words, if you bought it in November for N19 and it is selling at N25 in January, by the time you wait to qualify for dividend, it would have lost 10%. Though it is not bad to wait for dividend but your returns will be lower even with dividend.

You can sell in January and come back in May or June because the price will still come down to N19.
You can not time the market

See this clown, better than who financially? cheesy...And you are all over NL looking for which country will accept your miserable ass to come be a 3rd class citizen?Nah kid,You still have a long way to go to be me.
Go to sleep, wake up and eat mama's food as usual before you carry wetin pass you.
At 24,I was already comfortable enough not to be thinking about migrating to a foreign land to go and be a 3rd class citizen, which is all you do all over Nairaland.
I have had my failures though, but when i look back,i am way better than the 24 year old me and to think I am just a few years older than you begs for serious questions.
Also, the people who hate me are the people I want to hate me,like you for instance as I have no business in being friends with worthless people.
My trade made me excel very early(early 20s) that even your migration plans might not be able to afford in 10years even if I drop dead today and trust me,the money hasn't stopped coming(reason I am not like you blaming government up and down over your own personal failures) wink
You are bound to fail,if you still keep this entitlement mentality, just an advise, son.
And oh,when you get to Canada(that's if the embassy will be dumb enough to grant a liability like you visa) please send me a dm.I've got this plug over there that gives toilet cleaning jobs to wannabe 3rd class citizens like you over there so you can use its proceeds to buy big red soda, some bread and also rent space in a shared accommodation, while you use all the time at the job to ponder on the decisions you made in life that made you such an unproductive human. cheesy
God bless Nigeria and we hope it rids it of worthless, daft, over dependent youths who thinks the government is responsible for their failures and takes their frustrations out on working, useful Nigerians...Tueh!
I no know who dey born all these children dey litter this country, people we should have thrown in waste bins angry
shocked shocked shocked

With the stories of Endsars going global, there are speculation of possible instability for the country "Nigeria", some are saying the country may divide before the next 2023 general elections.

My questions are ;
1. Is this a right time to buy/sell properties in Nigerian states that are not of your origin like Lagos ?
2. What are your exit plan for people who invested in Long term bonds like 2027, 2037 etc.
3. Do you think division of the country is imminent ?
