IGBOSON1: I knew a known bigot and Igbo hater like you would be found on a thread like this!
Dude, all you’ve been waffling about ever since on this thread amounts to nada! Nigeria with its present political-economy that sees bigots, semi-illiterates and Igbo haters calling the shots would cease to exist, and so talking of ‘one Nigeria’ trying to frustrate Biafra/Igbo economy for no reason other than pure hate and ethnic bigotry/supremacy....such a possibility is DOA!
Assuming in the unlikely event our neighbours like Efik/Ibibio/Annang, Opobo, etc, elect to stay behind in Nigeria with you hateful lot who believe the country belongs to you, do you honestly see a situation where they will sit down in a meeting with you....hear your evil plot on how to frustrate the newly emergent nation, and acquiesce to your plans without telling you to go fuc’k yourself!? Truth they say is a bitter pill, accept the fact that the emergence and survival of your Biafra greatly depends on the goodwill of Nigeria. If no prior agreement then your Biafra is DOA, it's no rocket science. Those groups you called out had told you that they are not interested in Biafra, not ready to get their own country and would always be Nigerians, are you angry because you now understand that you'd be surrounded by Nigeria? You'd be an enclave in Nigeria so start dealing with that and ponder on the other points I've stated earlier. You'd be deported from Nigeria to Biafra and that's where your nightmare starts. |

MUMUdom: Ask your folks in Ghana if they can notice the effect of the border closure on the economy of Ghana Fuckeduppedness you don’t get it right? Ghana has a duty to speak for the rest of West Africa and that is what it is doing. So because Ghana’s economy is not affected, Ghana should overlook what is a clear violation of ecowas protocols? We all know that Ghana has been affected and that's why your ministers have been running up and down and talking, begging the Nigerian government for forgiveness. The effect of an ordinary border by Nigeria has even extended as far as Liberia, your kasapreko already loses $1 million monthly since the closure, just one company. By early next year, we'd all know the devastation it has wreaked on your individual economies, meanwhile continue crying for now. Tell your ministers to stop begging and crying and go sue Nigeria at the ECOWAS court. |

Ghana is doing great, growing its economy at 8% fricking percent we don’t give a fvck about you nigerians. In any case, the generator-powered Nigerian economy is heading for another recession
By the way, when Ghana closed down some shops of Nigerians in Ghana, didn’t your government send a delegation to Ghana to beg? Why didn’t they just ignore the closure since only few Nigerians were affected? What you nigerians need is common sense, which seems to in short supply at the moment We do what we want and there's nothing you can do about it. https://www.theafricareport.com/17737/nigeria-benin-border-closure-bully-boy-tactics-to-crush-a-weaker-rival/https://www.focus-economics.com/countries/ghanaThe economy of Ghana is already decelerating even before the border closure so come down your high horse and face reality |

omenka: The problem with most of you ipob supporters is that you're too emotional and hardly understand how politics and national security works.
It doesnt matter if he travels elsewhere freely, in NIGERIA he is a terrorist!
The Kurds for instance are US allies and helped in no small measure to defeat ISIS. The Kurds are indigenous to Turkey and Turkey sees them as Terrorists. Yet the US works with them.
Israel takes Hezbollah to be terrorist organization, yet it is a registered political party in Palestine.
The Muslim Brotherhood was once a political party and only recently produced the PRESIDENT of Egypt through a CREDIBLE ELECTION, yet, after the last coup in the country, the military designated it a terrorist organization. Notwithstanding, her members still travel around the world unimpeded.
The point is, a country reserves the right to designate non state actors as terrorists if they view them as inimical to its existence and sovereignty. That a country labels an individual or group terrorist doesnt necessarily mean the world must follow suit. The reason why every other country takes as a terrorist organization any entity labelled as such by the United States is because of the influence US wields across the world.
So cut the crap and get some enlightenment. The person you quoted knows about everything you said but would always want everyone to believe his narrative. |

The world has changed from what it used to be.. Change the law first, you can't be a foreigner and dictating to Nigeria how to apply her existing laws, you lose your citizenship, same law would be applied to you. |

gidgiddy: It is very important to note that a person cannot lose their property or investment in a democrstic country just because they are not citizens of that country. Dangote opened a cement factory in Ethiopia, however, Ethiopia cannot turn around one day and seize Dangote's factory just because Dangote is not Ethiopian.
Getting a Visa to visit places in Nigeria is a very small price to pay for freedom and Independence
As for being landlocked, some landlocked African countries like Ethiopia and Botswana are doing better than Nigeria. The only thing Nigeria has is Oil.
It is far better for Igbos to be landlocked, seek Visa to enter Nigeria but be independent of the failed entity called Nigeria Nigeria is a democratic republic and these laws are in operation for now, what makes you think that Biafrans that are now foreigners and aliens would be exempted? According to Nigeria's alien land act, only corporate companies can buy land and own properties, no private foreigner can, so private Igbo land and property owners would lose all. MTN, Shell etc are free to have properties in Nigeria because these are foreign corporate companies but no foreign individual can, not even the owner of the company. Botswana, Ethiopia, Switzerland, Austria etc doing better than Nigeria today have agreements with their neighbours with sea access, what agreement does Biafra have in that regard with Nigeria, none. Biafran students in Nigerian higher institutions would be made to go get their papers and student's Visa's and must pay twice or thrice what Nigerians pay. Nigeria could decide to redesign her currency after some months and your naira would no longer be acceptable in Nigeria. Some say you'd print Biafran pounds and it would be at par with the British pound and I laugh, what gold or foreign reserve do you have to back up the value? It would tumble like the Zimbabwean dollar, from 1 Biafran pound to a British pound and in a month's time, 1 million Biafran pounds to a British pound. It's no rocket science. Remember you are surrounded by Nigeria. So Biafra needs Nigeria for actualization because we don't have any referendum nor secession clause in the constitution and needs Nigeria for the sustainance of Biafra's independence. As I said earlier, you nor other Igbos don't feel the feel the effect of the laws, become a foreigner and you'd understand. |

gidgiddy: The mentality of the average Northerner is really strange for me as an Igbo man. What this man is trying to say properties and investments are more important than freedom and sovereignty. So because Igbos are found all over Nigeria, have investments everywhere, they are not entitled to seek their own separate country?
Why is he so concerned about if Igbos will suffer if they secede? Why is he hell bent on "one Nigeria"? It no secret that the average Northerner does not like the Igbo man so why do you want to remain in one country with people you have no love for?
The Northerners are not fooling anyone. The only reason they want Igbos in Nigeria is because they have come to see Nigeria as their private property and Igbos are their slaves, they are not willing to lose that property.
If Northerners start talking about Arewa Republic tomorrow, most Igbos wont even give a damn. In fact, Igbos like me will throw party that they want to go their way.
But if Igbos talk about Biafra, Northerners will start shouting "they will suffer", "they will lose their property", "we will send them home", "one Nigeria for life"
I tire for these people What he was saying flew over you, he's only saying that Igbos would now be foreigners in Nigeria. You'd now need a passport and visa to enter Nigeria( PH, Uyo, Yenagoa, Warri, Calabar etc are all Nigeria) and Biafra would be surrounded by Nigeria. Since you'd be surrounded by Nigeria, import and export to and from Biafra now depends on the goodwill of Nigeria. Entry of Biafrans into Nigeria and their movement would be strictly controlled by Nigeria Nigeria would veto Biafra's entry into ECOWAS and Biafrans in these countries would be made to go get their papers and visas. Nigeria could decide to close her border with Biafra(Benin and Niger reps comes to mind). These are some of the the things the man was trying to say, remember that these are existing Nigerian laws, Nigeria isn't creating a new law to spite or punish Biafrans, just extending same laws to them since they're now foreigners. Alien land act would be extended to Biafrans and all their properties all over Nigeria would be seized. That Igbos don't feel it now is because they are still Nigerian citizens. |

KEVIND: Photo: The Man Who Suggested The Name "BIAFRA"
His Royal Highness Chief Frank Opigo Dawai 111, Amananaowei of Angiama was a statesman politician, educationist and a philanthropist. He graduated in 1953 as the first graduate of central/western Ijaw land who later served as Assistant Registrar, Student Union. In 1967 he became the administrator of Yenegoa Province of Biafra and the commissioner for rural development. "Biafra" , a name familiar with the Old eastern region and Igbos today was suggested by him. Chief Opigo gave Biafra (after the Bight of Biafra now Bonny) its name and the rest of the seceding eastern region adopted it. Biafra historical record would remain incomplete if this great Ijaw son is not remembered. http://biafranchronicle.com/2015/05/28/27th-of-may/

SoNature: If you guys dug up this crap just to start bashing the Igbos, just know that the Igbos then never took Zik seriously because of his stance on the indivisibility of Nigeria. Zik's understanding of Nigeria was never realistic as the country was never ready for unity....he lived in a cloud cuckoo land.
Conversely, regardless of how any tribe sees Ojukwu, the Igbo nation held him (and will continue to hold him) in high esteem even in death. His standpoint reflected how majority of Nigerian leaders perceived the country when they held sway...he was down to earth.
While Zik strived to engender Nigerianness, which was vague, Ojukwu was parochial in his approach to leadership. Today, Nigeria celebrates Zik while the Igbos adore Ojukwu even in death. @ the first bolded, how many Igbos Protested or spoke up against his decision on one Nigeria, he wasn't even the only Igbo politician. @the second, why did he and Ironsi clamp down on Adaka Boro's Niger Delta republic, don't you think if Adaka Boro was not attacked and arrested for treason and left to go on with his idea, Ojukwu quest for Biafra would've been easier because there's already a precedent.
