vaxx: It is simply a diplomatic measure not to cause additional suffering for both nation but in the spirit of diplomacy, there is what is called reciprocation and some Ghanaians are already pushing for it.. Ghana or even benin can easily retaliate, it is so simple . benin/ Togo can simply imposed a ban on goods being exported from Nigeria by air . Ghana may also close down Nigerian banks and other businesses operating within. it is just so simple to reciprocate. Ghana is not just interested to be blind foolishly.....
Nigeria is so fortunate that Ghana is not under a conservative leader like Jerry rawlings who is also like buhari in thinking..... Only obasonjo knows better during the military regime. Any historian should learn what went wrong between the two nation then... What is Ghana, Togo, Benin, Cameroon, and Niger waiting for, Nigerians want you guys to reciprocate and not ranting online. All of you put together are not even 50% of Nigeria in purchasing power or population, |

grandstar: I very much doubt bukas will sell stone rice. That'll be financial suicide as it will chase customeras away.
From experience, it is very poor and with very poor education that buy stone rice. What I meant was that bukas and canteen owners prefer the cheaper stone filled local rice that is unmillied and they have mastered how to remove every stone before cooking, they make more gain from it unlike you and I that can't stand the wahala of trying to wash off the stones from the unmilled rice. This has been happening even before the border closure |

It is nothing to write home about GenBuhari .......at least some countries in Asia and our subregion felt the effect of our decision makes the 201 million of us a giant in our right. GenBuhari: You nailed it. We Igbos as entrepreneurs are the greatest beneficiaries of a united and powerful Nigeria. So the sudden agitation for Biafra is illogical and unnatural.
We Igbo have never been given a referendum to decide whether we want to Biafra or to remain.
Self appointed IPOB leader NK and his agitation is using huge funds from global powers to fund newspapers and social media campaigns to create impression we Igbos support him. The truth is that Igbos cannot care less about IPOB agitation, but their media campaign is gradually winning over some young misguided and ignorant youths using their usual mix of bigotted lies and propaganda.
There is little marginalisation of Igbos this is mainly media propaganda Nobody is giving anyone referendum because we don't have it in the constitution so IPOB's ideology is dead on arrival. IPOB's ideology is gradually waning over our youths because most have started asking questions that IPOB refused and hates anyone asking for answers. ("Proof of how soldiers invaded kanu's home, how did he and his parents escape from Nigeria etc".) Questions IPOB had refused to explain till date. It should just stop the lies and propaganda which won't take it anywhere |

My point is if you have bad road, lack of electricity, poor town planning, poor health care, poor living standards, people living in extreme poverty
The purchasing power is pointless There's a huge market in the first place with a huge purchasing power, tell us why Ghana that is "super richer" is lamenting over the closure unlike "super poor" Nigeria that doesn't give a damn. |

You don't invest solenly into an economy simply because of its size, if not Ghana will not be taking in high foreing direct investment. Ghana as of 2018 received more FDI than Nigeria . south africa , a nation slightly a quater of Nigeria received more FDI than Nigeria despite its poor economy growth.
Govermance is the main pillar, work on your poor governance We all agree that Ghana is the Dubai and Hong Kong of Africa but can you give us two or three reasons why your ministers are going about begging and lamenting over the closure? |

You won't tell me that soldiers left their barracks and moved into Umuahia in broad daylight and nobody in Umuahia noticed and could snap just one picture, I guess all their phones had virus that prevented it that day. IPOB and Kanu loves picture and video evidences for everything, why is non now, how would you convince anyone that the "invasion" was by soldiers? |

This is economic war, it is people that suffer. Let us shun nationalism and religion bigotry but rather let us embrace humanity. It is not about hating on Ghanaians or not, it's about knowing that Ghana relies on Nigeria so much for survival and Ghanaians still come online to badmouth Nigeria at every opportunity. I feel for these Nigeriens and others but Ghanaians and the Beninese can go to hell. |

vaxx: I have flawed this your baseless analogy earlier before...... investing in an economy are based on many factors ( long time planing or short time planning) for a key...
In the short run of a buisness, Nigeria has the market edge therefore the investors will equip its money but on a long time of a deal , Ghana fares better in long-term pillars such as business ease, social development, and most especially in good governance cus this are what makes buisness last longer ( reasons Toyota is jumping a bigger market like Nigeria to establish in Ghana. it is about long time planning and effect .
Nigeria only make sense if you want to recover your capital quick but to enjoy your investment for the future, then Ghana edge highly. some investors are even wise, they start in Nigeria, makes their money and relocate to Ghana for a better enviroment You didn't touch or maybe you didn't understand, anyway why are Ghanaian ministers crying and lamenting since the closure since Ghana is not as affected as Nigeria, why is our officials not crying if we are to be more affected than Ghana from your assertion? |
