gidgiddy: All the above comes down to "talking". For the international community, terrorism is about being armed and destroying lives and property, that's why it is a serious issue.
So if Nigerians are still so backward that for them, terrorism is all "what was said", dont expect the international community to take Nigeria seriously. Actions speak far more loud than mere words.
The international community has already designated the killer herdsmen as the 4th most deadly terrorist group in the world. But in Nigeria, they are given Ruga settlement
So whenever backwards Nigeria catches up with the international community we shall know. Cry till thy kingdom come, IPOB and Kanu remain terrorists by the definition of what that word means. Thank God you didn't deny that those statements weren't made by Kanu and IPOB |

Oshigun: Igbos like Igbokwe and Okorocha exist who get on well with other Nigerians and , as a testimony to their unique honesty, admit their own people have serious problems. Even if most Igbos turn around to calls those folks "Efulefu" I actually rate them highly and view them as well-calibrated individual who live the reality of life and have not allowed themselves to be prisoners of fake ideals others try to force on them.
Truth is that Yorubas are not radical. We have not given Nigeria Boko Haram, Maitatsine, IPOB, MASSOB, Tompolo, Boyloaf, or other organised warlord groups/clans. A lot of Igbos who have grown up amongst Yorubas know we mean them no harm and never try to obstruct or impede their progress. The Igbo man has no better ally than the Yoruba man if we view issues from reality on the ground. You will therefore always have Igbos who know their people are wrong making Yorubas the enemy. You tell me right now which politician, whether SS or Hausa/Fulani, has done more for Igbos than Tinubu. Yet Jagaban is most hated by Igbos whereas GEJ, IBB, Danjuma, Atiku et al get a free pass from many of our SE brothers.
Abeg free sensible Igbos when you encounter them. They may be the key to a future of unity and progress in the South majority of Igbos currently frustrate because of their mindless hatred of Yorubas. You really have time for that bigot trying to downplay my Igboness because I disagree with him. I would've really wanted to engage him but let me restrain myself. |

gidgiddy: In other to be regarded as a terrorist group or a terrorist, you must not only be armed, you must be also using the arms to unleash violence on people.
That's why the international community never agreed that IPOB is terrorist organisation.
To say that a group is a terrorist group because of mere utterances is to reduce a very serious issue such as terrorism to childsplay Go through the definition of being a terrorist again and that has always been your problem. Just intimidating a civilian population for political reason is a terrorist act, remember Nnamdi Kanu at a time said any Igbo who refused to observe the sit-at-home should be stoned to death. Even if nobody was stoned, that statement defines him as a terrorist. Remember also the 2017 guber election in Anambra when IPOB directed its members to proceed to polling stations with pen and paper and write down names of their neighbours who were seen voting so that they can be dealt with later. These two examples involves intimidation of a civilian population which qualifies Kanu and IPOB as terrorists. |

Should the yoruba nation be made to suffer for your sins? FYI, I'm Igbo and of course not happy with the state of things and the hate speech from any group but there are some things that are inevitable. Adeyinke Grandson said what he said and fellow Yorubas came for his head. When Kanu and IPOB were having their time and insulting others, who dares challenge them over their hate speech and you see their supporters shouting abok.I, afonja, saboteur etc and giving you the insult of a lifetime. Even people like Orji Uzor Kalu, Ekweremadu and Abaribe were not spared of their hate speech till date. |

jacksonkennedy: dear you are just being insincere. You said the igbos started insults and I asked you how, when and when? Why are you telling me about some phantom history of secession clauses? What has it to do with insult? And how do we even know such a history actually happened? Was Awolowo and zik that influential as at the time in question?
If you say they accuse us of being betrayers don't we accuse them of being clannish?
See I think the whole issue between us is magnified by tinubu lapdogs. I never saw this much hate against our two tribes during obj regime.
And frankly as at today, we are the ones who insult this people more... not the other way round I think question about the mass and incessant insults should be directed to Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB, they started it. Who called northerners parasites? who called Yorubas slaves? who continued including SS minorities in their map against their wish? who went on calling and referring the only country Nigerians have as a zoo all because Kanu and IPOB said so? who promised to burn the zoo down? who threatened to go to Aso Rock and return with the head of the president? In all of this, Igbos are not supposed to be affected but most kept quiet either because they'd be called pigs and eediots as kanu has described any Igbo against his ideology or maybe they are truly in support. Kanu and IPOB have been sowing seeds of hate and insults now the Igbos are reaping the fruits of hatred from others. Have you forgotten when the Arewa youths gave the Igbos a quit notice to leave the north, why were the Yorubas and other SS minorities not included? All of these and much more were because of hate speech by Kanu and IPOB. |

ItsMeAboki: Pls stop this silly narrative and start using common sense.
You really need to check the definition of terrorists and tell us how the herdsmen fit it; then go back and compare that to Kanu's speeches including all his his veiled and open threats to the Nigerian nation; some specific Nigerians and their groups.
FYI, you don't have to be deadly to be a terrorist; threats alone and the potential outcome of such threats could sufficient - as in the case of Kanu and his IPOB.
On the other hand, the herdsmen (though deadly) are not a structured Political organisation with a clear cut political ambition but mere criminals among a group of persons who randomly engage in the profession of cow herding.
Unfortunately, Kanu foolishly used his mouth to hang himself - his numerous such blunders are already all over the internet and can never be covered up or denied. The person you quoted knows the truth but feels like if he continues to repeat a lie, it eventually becomes the truth. A form of brainwashing people in a way, he's seen the definition of being a terrorist but would always insist that since they are not armed nor have they killed anyone, therefore they are not terrorists. |
Politics › Re: Imo Monachs Tell FG To Allow Nnamdi Kanu Come Home To Bury His Mother by Area4Area: 7:36am On Oct 26, 2019 |
gidgiddy: I have never seen any verified report that IPOB killed anybody. America and the EU are aware of this definition when they came out and said IPOB are not terrorists. Or maybe you think America and the EU are all fools and Nigeria is the only country that knows what terrorism is?
The problem is that if we are to go by the above definition, then everybody in Nigeria would have to be declared a terrorist. There is no Nigerian who has not harassed, threatened or intimidated another person before.
What is interesting is that in Nigeria, when a group like IPOB threatens violence, they get military invasion and terrorist tag
But when another group like the Heardsmen go further than IPOB, become armed and kill people, they get Ruga settlement
That's how you know that Nigeria is a joke. That's your business, accept the fact that the "zoo" has proscribed your IPOB and it is now a terrorist group and all her members are now terrorists, don't get caught or in possession of any regalia associated with it. The US and EU won't rescue when you are caught |

Igbos are never happy if they wake up daily with no enemy to fight. They must create one. Real or imaginary. It does not matter. Someone must be on the receiving end of Igbo's obsession with hating others. Yes Buhari is responsible for every single death in Igbo land. He killed Kanu's mother, Achebe, Ojukwu, Azikiwe et al. He is also the cause of all problems Igbos face today. It's becoming pathetic everyday, playing the victim card all the time. |

Nigeria will be the market of industrialized Ghana. it is just as simple and this is because of population, nothing more . Ghana will not produce and consume it all alone . she must dump it somewhere, and Nigeria been over 200 million is a good option. nothing tie that statement with present economy impact but illiteracy will not allow to see. But an armed group like the killer herdsmen who slaughter thousands of Nigerians each year with their AK 47, are not terrorists, and deserve Ruga settlements
So because the Federal Government does not know what terrorism is, it is not safe for Kanu to go to a country that doesn't know what terrorism is The FG hasn't said it would be arresting him, let the cowardly terrorist come in first so we can know how formidable and resolute he is. |
