So, we should fold our hands and let another armed group join the ones already troubling the peace of the countryhuh

Come on, we can't afford another terrorist group on our hands. If they had tamed Yusuf when he began his extreme Salafist teachings in Yobe, we won't have Boko Haram today. If Abacha had handled the Niger-Delta issue with tact, we won't have to deal with youth militancy in the Niger Delta.

And if we had addressed the farmer-herdsman crisis a long time ago, we won't be reading news about killings and reprisals.

Kanu is not a tactful person. If he is not dealt with, he would become another trouble. And as you know, it would certainly be the region he comes from that would suffer it. .

If he wants referendum, there are better ways to get it. Buhari cannot give him referendum. Only the constitution can. And there is nothing like referendum in our constitution.
You've said it all

Since Kanu escaped the attack by nigeria army, how many times have we hear noise for restructuring.

We are not against your restructuring,if you get restructuring we will drop biafra and join you in your one nigeria chant.

Do your thing while we do ours.
Can you get us evidence that his house was attacked by the Nigerian army?

Instead of these idiots to demand for good governance, they choose to worship and lick the anuses of their opppressors because of tribe and religion thinking they are sophisticated. I,am not igbo, bt i admire the courage and tenacity of NK and ipob in figthing for their right. i hope that some day, their agitation will bring to an end the injustice going on in this contraption called nigeria without bloodshed

Kanu on numerous occasions foolishly called for arms. Whether he did it as a bragging right to gain attention is what I don't know.
Non-violent struggle has been the mantra of MASSOB the group he (Kanu) broke out from. But immediately the dumb came to national relevance he began to subly deviate from civility into a call for violence.
Nnamdi Kanu and his IPOB have succeded in killing the noble ideals of Biafra with their uncultured bad breathe. They brought their travails upon themselves. Let them dance to the music.

Anybody can solicit arms. What matters is if you actually get arms and what you use it for.

That's why Kanu could not be charged based on that video. The solicitation its self is not illegal

I can say that I want guns so as to go and rob a bank. But if I never got the guns and never robbed any bank, I have not committed any crime except to talk
You mean you are in America and soliciting for arms to destroy America, are you OK bros?

Humans have a taste of bickering. If the man called for war, people like you would call it treason, now he called for a referendum, you tell him to ask for war. Please stability is key to every process, and i guess the man Nnamdi Kano, knows the ordinary citizen of Nigeria are not reliable to make solid judgment but absolute mockery of the terms at hand. Bless you today.
Why is he in London and shouting referendum when he can easily buy it at main market Onitsha?

Yes he did solicit arms in America. It is legal for anybody to solicit arms, especially in America that has given people the right to bear arms

What matters is if he got arms and if he used them illegally

Those who already have arms and are killing thousands every year are getting rewarded with Ruga.

That means that Nnamdi Kanu should be given a national award for only soliciting since those who went far beyond soliciting are getting rewarded
Did he at any point say he wanted the arms to battle Nigeria?
Not even an American can say and remain a free man

You asked how big the population of the locked out market and I said150 million. That's just an estimate, it could be a bit bigger or smaller. As for ECOWAS regulations, I already mentioned that those countries obey the rules but Nigerians have a way of getting around it via loopholes therein.

Someone has started throwing insults on this thread, so I am out as I don't hang around with such. I believe I've made my contribution, you too.

See you later.
If I should go by your estimate, Nigeria is 201 million and who needs who more for survival?
Those leeching ECOWAS countries know Nigeria would always forgive after some weeks after warnings in the past, they are surprised that Nigeria wouldn't even bother after much begging for so many months.
Those leeching ECOWAS countries know the ECOWAS rule yet fail to follow after several warnings.

""That if the must access our market,, they must tackle smuggling.""

U are quite confused. Nigeria is the one who is supposed to tackle smuggling. U have thousands of corrupt custom officials who collect bribe and allow any good to pass thru.

""You’ll agree with me that this closure of border has made a lot of rice milling company spring up in Nigeria recently. ""

Blatant silly lies.

""Why is there no employment?: Because there are a lot of dumping through imports that are killing our not too strong industries""

There's no employment because u don't have electricity, not because of imports.

""(By now, our neighbors would have realized that they cannot do without our 200million people market""

They can easily do without u and ur fake 200 million over bloated population, there are over 7.5 billion people on earth. Within a few months, Ghana and all these nations will find alternatives and sell their market and life would go on.
You see how you're trying to kee yasef over border closure, why is Ghana not looking for alternative markets to sell her goods instead of begging Nigeria to open up her border?
I'm sure if you've gotten other markets, your ministers, past and present presidents won't be begging us to open up

You've just turned logic upside down. The whole reason we're even talking about smuggling is because its cheaper, faster, easier to import in neighboring countries than Nigeria.

We're talking about a population of about 150 million. And I bet you, they'll find alternatives. Nigeria has just given then an idea of what to do.
Who are the 150 million, Nigeria or the rest of ECOWAS?

Do you even understand the ECOWAS rule on importing from a third party that is not a member of ECOWAS and moving the goods to the recipient country?

Illegal businesses are not the only thing going on across the border. There're more genuine businesses going on there than illegal. Many businesses in both Nigeria and neighboring countries are paralysed right now but that's the part your FG won't tell you.

Milo
Maltina, malta guiness, etc.
Coke, fanta, etc.
Lux, Detol, Detla, etc.
Toothpaste- Close up, Maxam, etc.
Plastic utensils.
Electronic goods- TVs, phone, etc.
Car spare parts.
..........Plus too many others so many to name, all get supplied legitimately from Nigerian companies to neighboring countries. But guess what?Neighboring countries would soon be compeled to find alternatives elsewhere, therefore, put Nigerian businesses out of business. Again, this's the part they won't tell you.
We all know that but not at the scale you're talking, what's the total population and economic strength of Ghana, Togo, Benin, Niger, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso etc combined compared to Nigeria that their failure to not buy goods from Nigeria would collapse our industries? They have no alternative than to come using the seaport because importing from Europe would be far more expensive for them.

You are telling us about our loss but you don't know that your alomo bitters company is losing $1 million monthly since the closure, your GCCI visited about 3 or 4 companies in the Kumasi region and collectively they are losing $3 million weekly, these are figures that are in public domain, what about those companies in Ghana presently dying off?

Our parliamentary system was copied from the British and the president represented the queen its basic knowledge the queen appoint the prime minister

Where did I tell you awo killer himself ? Even tho we all know he didb
Sorry about the death stuff, it was actually @meleszenawi that said so.
When did Zik appoint the prime minister? Forget their functions for now.

The prime minister is usually the leader of the ruling party and he/she can be told to resign if other MPs are not satisfied, the Queen doesn't just walk into Parliament and picks anybody of her choice to become the PM, her appointment is merely ceremonial

If we have regional government with regional police and the concurrent list is removed Igbo's won't care about abuja

We sacrificed our turn so we can get rid of Fulani dominance don't that show you the kind of people we are ?

Almost every tribe in nigeria are socialist in nature ,north ,west ,that's why they need power and are crazy about it

Igbo's and esan people of Edo are the only real capitalist I know in Nigeria

Even if all anini power he never cared to rule Edo state ...we are not power hungry ,

Igbo's can even support south south in 2023

We don't just forgive betrayals ,minus Islam we and Hausa's ( not Fulani's ) would he best partner in nigeria

2023 is not about power to south east but about paying back 2015
Continue backing others to your detriment, your choice but don't come back and start begging to be given the slot in any party and not after the election and a northerner wins, you'd start deafening us with "north born to rule mentality".

The whole south saw a Chance to relegate the Fulanis that had held this country back for years

Even if the Igbo's knew they were going to be the biggest losers and extend the time frame for an Igbo president ... Yet we did it for the benefits of the south ...and nigeria at large . that tells you the mind set of the average Igbo man ....only for one part of the south to betray the agreement in 2015

Yes the Igbo's failed ,yes we tried to prevent a mistake like buhari ...

Now we are offering the north their chance back in 2023 ...like u did in 2015 ...north know Igbo's don't like them ,we know they don't like us ,but we form alliance when its important ...we don't pretend
The SE did what it did because I repeat it lacks foresight, the SW had already had it's turn so careless about who's coming in, the SS had a little stint as VP and later acting president, the SE was supposed to have theirs in 2015 but Igbo politicians blew it away.
