futurism: Bayelsa election was because of error within PDP current governor. So the people decided to work against him and gave it to APC.
APC didn't deserve it. It was given to them.
You should also learn a lesson from history that APC will reach its peak and fall too.
I don't know why most of you form affiliation to parties without a second thought for the betterment of the common man on the street.
Na wa o PDP did not deserve it but the people wanted APC, if your customer cheats on you, you move to another. You gave the people of Bayelsa APC or what, didn't they go to the polling booths to vote? Let APC fall first before you start giving lectures |

lemon10: That is not how it should be. This country is directionless. We are not truthful to ourselves. Zoning power to South should not even have South-west and South-South fighting for it, because they have ruled, and the same when it is zoned to North (North-west have ruled twice). The leaders of this country are liars, selfish, greedy, self-centred, dishonest, non-trustworthy and deceivers. Relax, just go on waiting and other zones fighting for the post come to your room and offer you the post. |

bigfish3k: supported sir, afterall zoning is not in the constitution SW has killed zoning because of greed therefore let us all continue the mud swimming
the SW formed NADECO,CD,AFENIFERE to fight for justice, true federalism, restructuring, state police,Sovereign national conference for the country and the SE/SS alligned with them, the VP even went to court for some of those things but after they got power and influence with the FG, they jettisoned all that and started ridiculing the SE/SS who had stood with them and calling themselves political sophisticators I thought that by now most of you doing this SE/SS attaché by force would've learnt a lesson or two after the Bayelsa election |

Arubajagz: "So, the period of six years that Jonathan ruled after Yar’Adua died, we must make sure the North completes it so that the equation will be balanced. That is why I will support a northern candidate if the north decides to contest in 2023. I will not support a southern candidate because we must respect our northern brothers. That is my position as regards the 2023 presidential election."
Just as he said, that is his own position and opinion. He has only one vote. APC never signed any zoning arrangement. Why didn't you say in 2011 when the NW wanted the position, you think you can get anything anytime you want? Good enough the north, SW, SS no longer take you serious |

Kanade21:

P.S : It is not that I enjoy making such posts, because ultimately it is like I am letting the government off the hook/blaming the masses. (I'm not. Government even makes things worse by not making the sector attractive to investors by allowing them to charge what they want, as they did in the GSM sector...which by the way had to start from scratch) But the thing is, speaking as someone who has relatives who run their businesses...the key to running a business is not selling on credit 100% of the time.
Here in Nigeria, we want electric power on credit. In real life it costs money. Lots of money. Bros your earlier post was 1001% correct and in order and I was just being sarcastic, you stated all the factors causing the problems we are facing and I couldn't help but marvel that some brains still harbour that much knowledge, kudos to you. Till now I still don't know what to add to your post because you killed and buried it finally, kudos again, oil full your brain |
Politics › Re: Blackout Looms As Gencos Threaten Shutdown Over Charge by Area4Area: 10:33am On Nov 18, 2019 |
Kanade21: Because in Japan, people don't refuse to pay their bills, or do illegal connection, or bribe the power company workers to provide illegal connections, or do connections illegally, or chase DISCO workers away...plus their power companies are allowed to charge at and above the cost of production meaning they can make enough profit to improve power supply, and also people are willing to invest in power supply as a result.
Here in Nigeria, we want power free of charge. The government and the people don't pay their bills on time or at all, and DISCOS are in a financail deficit of N4trillion. NBET too is owing N1 trillion. GENCOS are finding it doffocilt to pay for gas because gas suppliers want their price in dollars, and people bribe Disco workers to illegally conenct them, plus illegal connectors chase people away
Plus in Japan, people don't carry and vandalise power supply lines and equipment the way we do it here.
You can blame me for blaming the masses, but Japan works not because they have a perfect government (corruption and misgovernance dey, plus their debt makes Nigeria's own look like chicken change)...but because people are responsible and behave civilzed. Here in Nigeria, we behave like a bunch of uncultured people...we sabotage anything good....and then we expect the things we sabotage to work like nothing happened.
Until we are willing to change..not APC/Lai change, nothing will change in power sector. And it starts by us paying for the power we want. We cannot be hiding behind poverty forever .
P.S Japan pays .43 dollars per kwh as bills. Nigeria..our highest rate is 0.18 dollars per kwh. We dey get what we are paying for. Bia nwokem, who pour this kind oil inside your brain, you just don't want me to add to this topic. Over sense go kee you o, one person start and finish topic with enough facts. Next time, just state some facts and allow others to add theirs because you're so wicked and selfish with this post, I don't even know how to come in again. Lol |

Willy7: Lolz, please Aso Rock chefs should package some take away for him to take home to Ghana ọ, at least that's the much we can do for a staving brother, after all what are brothers for. Meanwhile, PMB don't, I repeat don't open that bother yet. We need the whole of Ghana to come here and prostrate and promise to be of good behavior before considering if we can reopen it. This Ghana people need to be humbled. Imagine people whose largest export is Alomo and Gonko cleanser, always out to slander, insult and rub shoulders with a giant like Nigeria. We maybe docile, unorganised and being led by idiots as leaders, that doesn't takeaway our uniqueness and influence in the comity of Nations. Ghana is too small and powerless to always poke fingers in our eyes. Other Nations gossip us behind but Ghana always want to show themselves against us. Despite us not having a bother with them, they have been the only West African country that feels they can deride and threaten our sovereignty. They have been targeting our Nationals doing business in their country. It is time they are called to order and made to know who the boss is. Before that bother is open, Ghana should pay every debt they owe Nigeria, and then sign an MOU with our traders in their country to allow them trade without further harassment and intimidation from the Ghana trade union. Every shop belonging to Nigerians that has been locked should be reopened immediately. Then we can see what we can do about the bother, make hunger no for ravage dem people. God bless Nigeria Help me ask what that short man is doing in Abuja, he and his ministers have made Abuja now their nation's capital. Let them officially apply to be part of Nigeria and we divide them into 3 or 4 states. Every other thing you wrote up there is 101% correct and in order and I can't add more to it. |

Follow due process if you want to and not causing chaos with tour agitation.
Your representatives are there to move a motion for a referendum but are quite due to their love for Nigeria.
Igbo's stay or go, Its a win win for Nigeria.
At least we will start issuing Visiting Visa, Buisness Visa, Transit Visa and work permits for your lots which will increase our revenue
We would start taxing businesses and land use charge same way foreign investors presently do.
International students in our universities will increase and pay in USD
Nigeria would have no option than to adopt labour laws that stipulate that foreigners cannot take up jobs that required skill is abundant in the country.
Can keep writing and why the enlightened ones never support the agitation They don't understand and can never try to know what would hit them when the time comes. |

Cantonese: Sincerely our leaders are the problems that we have in this country.
In democracies abroad as they call it where we copied from, especially America, we find followers supporting their leaders even when sometimes wrong decisions are made by the leaders. They strive to get power and retain power whereever they have control of.
In our country money, influence and juju is used to make the people look and act foolishly. Bayelsans have never had good leaders since Alamaseigha. While he was governor for one and half terms Jonathan did not develop Bayelsa.
Jonathan lost the 2015 election because he refused to stick to his well known agreement of one term with the north. Members of his party decamped to punish him. PDP lost power, he lost but remained in the PDP to reposition the party and chart a new course, according to him.
For me it is a monumental disgrace that he aided the opposition to defeat his own party in his state. That he could not get Dickson and Secondus to give Alaibe the ticket shows that in Bayelsa Jonathan is a paperweight.
They say "no be to give monkey water be problem na how you go take collect cup for him hand". How can PDP ever recover from this loss. Shamelessly too Jonathan will attend BOT and NEC meeting in PDP. Notice that APC has showed Jonathan and PDP how to hold on to power and hynotize the people. I am very certain that Lyon will not be different from Dickson. All they need is power and control of the purse.
Next in line will be Rivers state in 2023. Let's see who Wike will support. I love this realization and lamentation, we warned before the election but wetin una talk? you all boasted how PDP is coasting home to victory so why the complaints? |
