Efewestern: I still believe BAT will take Lagos but I've adjusted my margin to meet with the present realities. Lagos is indeed a tough battle between LP & APC. Most results released are traditional PDP Strongholds. So it is rather too early to call. LP will come second in all SW state. A very big addition to Obi's emergence.
Wike is a politician. His anger was quit understandable but I was surprised with the way he is pulling support for BAT. He knew about the Obi wave but still went ahead to give BAT the needed boost to get the seat. He could have supported OBI and deprived PDP from getting anything from the state. A win win. no he knew notherners cant really turn out for obi so he has calculated well, if i knew obi chances are bright he would have worked with obi, results coming from the north are mad only God can stop BAT. with result from the north, obil will come 3rd over all |

dochenaj: If Obi wins this elections.
Expect least LP to produce not less than 10 governors from next 2 weeks elections. With what have seen so far obi can't win. |

BigBashiru: I am almost coming to the conclusion that on the banking stocks, you cannot get dividend and capital appreciation at the same time IF you are a trader... Because the banking stocks tend to fall after dividends and takes months to come back to the original price.
I think the best way to play both dividend and capital appreciation is to buy the stock low and hold medium to long term - what do you think?? Anyway, it depends on u as an individual. Just look at whatever works fine for u and stick to it, to me the best sector to grow your investments funds is banking sector so it depends on you. If i get zenith at 17 to 20 and i will get 2.80 net dividends and the stock get to 26 for me i will not wait for the dividends i will sell and go back to patience mode till it comes down again till i grow my investment funds to my targeted level before i finally settle for the dividends. Just check the price history of all of them. |

Kereokwu: Sir, what if it never comes back at that price. I was tempted to sell Fidelity at N4 hoping it come back at less than N3, thank God I didn't.
Thanks to all resourceful information people drop here for FREE, God bless us all. I be novice for stock na the info here and there I dey follow and it has really paid off. Thanks a million folds Identify a strategy that works for you all I know is even if it doesn't come down to your entry price it will surely come down. Banking sector follow the same cycle over yrs. After dividends they all will come low but Fidelity may not come to your entry point but never say never anything can happen on NSE no be today! |

Ades1: With this mindset, when UCAP touches N9, are you sure you won’t move the goal post to N8? The market has a way of messing with people’s minds.
Own 1-15 good companies, and continue to water them with periodic investments. This is how you invest and build wealth. Results will not be felt now, but in 10-20 years, your dividends will be huge. once i buy at my target i close eyes more so i will buy in batches, so if i buy uba at 6.60 and i see it at 9 i should not sell waiting for dividend of 90kobo and after the dividend it will come back to 6 naira region and i will miss about 2.50 cos of 90kobo then how do u build wealth then i will finally settle for the dividends stock i want when i meet the monetary target to acquired such dividend paying stocks |

emmanuelewumi: The advice is for a trader who wants to make money not for an investor who wants to build wealth
Buy low and sell high, what will happen if high goes higher, higher and higher.
People who bought United Capital at N3.00 and sold at N5.00 missed the over 100% dividend growth of the stock.
Same thing happened to those who bought Nahco at N2.50 and sold at N4.00 check the price history especially the banking sector prices will always drop after dividends are declared unless FPIs are in the market. uba did 6.55, zenith did 18.90 and GTB did 16.90 around august to octb last yr. i play majorly in financial sector and there is nothing like higher high with them unless FPIs are around |

Curiouscity: I wish I had this type of awareness 15 years ago. Most of our parents wanted us to get educated in certain careers, but not how to manage and grow the money earned. I lived with my uncle who used to buy stocks in the 90s. He never educated me on it. I went on to work in a bank, where I help people buy shares or even cash their dividend warrants, yet I didn't own 1 share in any coy.
I know it is not too late for me, but I wish I started earlier than now. Never too late, u can draw up 10yrs target for yourself buy stocks when they are low, sell high repeat the cycle yearly then finally settle for 2 or 3 stocks for dividends |

smartkester: bro you don't make comparisons that way. #5.3million naira isn't a big deal when converted to Canadian dollar, the state of the Nigeria economy is making you see the amount as huge Money. #5.3million can buy you a land in Nigeria but that same amount can't do same in Canada. It's quite relative. Don't get me wrong, I'm just trying to explain how the state of the nation is making us see normal things as huge. That is why one must invest the money here in Nigeria since it's very big here cos of exchange rate |

Adeleke is only a waec holder who went for a few months certificates because of this same election. Honestly Adeleke is not better sentiment aside, how will the performance of students in waec be under the leadership of someone who sat for waec or gce and had f9 in english and didnt really show up for the rest papers this goes beyon wiiining an election we should tell ourselves the truth |
