Some ways MMF can be useful

1. A safe way to keep cash with capital guaranteed
2. Sure interest even though with a low rate
3. Saving for targeted item or project
4. Emergency fund
5. Acting as collateral for loans (asset banked loan)
6. Proof of funds for embassies
Can even pay one salary depending on the amount locked in

Bro I feel you. I wish I can post daily but mehn these days between work and watching my little kids, it's not easy. Before when I was more active on the thread, I used to work at night and have much time during the day and also had no kids, but now, it's the opposite.

Notwithstanding, on my days off, I'm trading. Now, I post mostly small caps stocks with high momentum and higher probability to move over 50% higher in the same day. When I was active on the thread 3 yrs ago, I used to post options trades, which benefitted no one because most people who frequent this thread are in Nigeria and, as far as I know, none of the Nigerian brokers offer options. I also used to give updates about my long term stocks ex Amazon, but that didn’t help new investors just getting started because at that time Amazon was trading over $1500 a piece and not many new investors are interested in that.

I still buy large caps but mostly for my long term portfolio, and I scalp and swing small caps and momentum stocks. As more people show interest in U.S stocks, this thread will get busier. Sometimes the less trades, the better. You can make your money just patiently waiting for stocks with good catalyst to pop up on your rader and you just ride the wave, stay in cash when nothing is happening, rinse and repeat.
US stocks are more rewarding than Naija stocks especially this period of devaluation, I can invest my gain from US Market on NSE. Pls let's keep this space bubbling by suggesting stocks here.

I must give Chaka their props. Their app updates current market changes as promptly as it gets.

I have compared it to my foreign app, and it probably updates faster. It's breakdown feature is not as intuitive and fees are massive in the global scheme of things. They however seem cheaper than trove, bamboo and their rivals at the moment.

Investors are not emotional, we move to the next best platform without sentimental attachment, and move again if the platform fails to deliver.

I don't believe oil price has anything to do with nse stocks. Why didn't we see the effect on nse when oil was 70 ans above. The management of the economy is what I believe reflects on nse since the market became dominated by locals. What matters is businesses doing well, producing good results (not audio results). And rewarding investors via good dividend or bonus. And all this will happen if the economy is doing fine. How about if the country was not producing oil. We have many other way to generate revenue for the country .If oil like let it go to #20 ,Zenith with dividend of #3 plus will not go to #5..That is only possible if we have ww 3 or something worst caused by nature

Then on a serious note,no government in nigeria can be worst than that of Pmb.Though I am not a fan of BAT but I know he will be 100 percent better than pmb because he has business interests in the country .

The market will still tank but not the generation low as I dey hear for this thread. Corruption is what is killing the country and pulling everything down.
are u just entrying this NSE? 70 per barrel wiil have no impact now let oil tank by 50% then I want to read the same comment from you.

The market will tank but to this level will only happen in WW 3. It cannot go beyond #15 with the corruption everywhere you go.
But zenith did 8+ in 2016 when oil tank to $27 so nothing is impossible!

Are you the one pushing Omatek and buying TANTALIZER??
Better watch those stocks if you don't have solid reasons for buying.

As for Japaul, I'd searched and highlighted positive areas and possible factors that can make it toast of investors either now or in near future.
Financial wise, Japaul has good biz/ has been delivering good results and, with the new govt, things will most likely turn around for good for the Coy. Etc.

CHAMS also. Well positioned as Fintech Coy.

FTN COCOA: Future looking bright. Even read one article whereby the House urged the Fed Govt to support Cocoa farmers.

Try and check on others as well to be sure of what you're buying.
Anyone buying Daarcoms, my hand no dey o.
**Just my opinion. DD applies**
Looking bright if BAT administration will support them else they are on their own too think the company is somewhere in Oyo state and have passed the front of the place before if am not wrong, the look of the place alone with not give strong mind to near it. Just my view anyway. Make the money irrespective of the look of the company grin

I believe If your share price increase by $4 and you sell 10k shares, you'll have made 40k. Depending on the platform, It might take a few days for the actual cash to hit your wallet or account.

I tend to hold on to my stocks or mutual funds at the moment, so those who withdraw regularly may have more experience than I do.
Thanks. Us stocks is more rewarding than local stocks if one can play the game well I bought a stock at 1.70$ went to 4.46$ the stock I bought same time on our NSE just started moving though am out already and I want to focus on US stocks. They may likely slip into recession that will make stocks cheap again

Pls I want to ask a question, if I bought a US stock of 10000units and I gain 100$ let say I bought at 0.60 and I sell at 4$, will they release the total 40k$ to me at once upon sales?

You should usually not see how the charges are taken. So what you see is what you have

I was answering to the question. These investment bankers take the money in a such a sleek way that you shouldn't notice, since they publish effective yield.

My bosses may explain further if required.
Sorry pls this is my first time to do MMF. 1.50% of my total fund will bite me for body oo let them not let me know how they are deducting it abeg
InvestmentRe: Mutual Funds by aremso(m): 2:20pm On Jun 05, 2023
sgtponzihater1:
They take 1.5% of your principal and accrued interest every year. If your portfolio is up, you should notice, but if you have stock based funds their are time when their fees may mop up some of your principal. The percentage interest shown, for MMF, is effective yield after factoring in management fees.

Hope this helps
Bro. Pls the interest showing has taken care of the charges? If yes that means no further deductions from the current money am seeing?

Anything can be done to achieve one's ambition.Trust me, this is a collective effort but one respected and trusted person will be always used.

90% of our members will agree this is not Oracle but do they have any point to prove it?
Lolllllllll Loco be calming down NOT Oracle, just follow your investment plans. Oracle doesn't play on NSE alone not even US stocks alone so he will not go so low to confuse anyone cos of his selfish ambition, capital NO. He has strategies that works perfectly for him and he makes profits on all the Exchange he has interest. This is a faceless unregulated forum where any one is entitled to his or her opinions just follow your investment strategy

Okay, I am worried over the personality. He is always bullish when I am 100% on cash and bearish when I am fully in the market.Once he does that, especially the bearish forecast, things begins to change.

Hence I am attacking him personally.
I think his timing is the issues but honestly all the US stocks he advised me about did as predicted. And even made about 300% in one of the stocks so may be the timing might be wrong cos he is human but I still believe it will happen with time. He made me to fall in love with US stocks after watching what those stocks did.
