Gurus, the below mail was what i sent to morgan and the sender of the hike in chrages mail called me this morning and was saying that the tone of my mail was rather harsh on morgan. pls have i said something bad here?

Sir,

this thing will not fly and is never acceptable, i joined your firm not quite long and i have moved all my trading money from my former broker to Morgan based on the recommendation from some one but now you are increasing your charges by 100% after i have moved over to Morgan pls Sir, this will never fly with me and i will also cascade the message to my other colleagues to vehemently resist your 100% hike. Am just taking risk with my money in your polaris bank and yet all you can do is to add additional fear again to the risk am taking with. Oga, that will never fly by God grace.

I opened another account with Morgan I was supposed to state my Old CHN while opening the new account but they opened with a new CHN so I wrote to ccsc through Morgan while looping in Cscs that they should consolidate the account on my old CHN though I have to send reminder like twice before it was effected. I tested it if it was working when the zenith access and gtb did interim dividend on stocks bought from Morgan and I got the alert of e dividend on old chn

Thanks BOSS, i just like explanation back with proofs. However in my own opinion, GTB EPS of 5+ cant go down any how unless Nigeria is on Fire which it cant happen by God grace or if there is a global recession and even at that, it bounces back faster than other banking stocks

There are several others but i think they charge the least.

Register on there, takes 3 working days.

As for capital appreciation within a year, ill advise to wait till elections are over.

But! Transcorp at 1.15 is a cheap stock. That can beat treasury bills and mutual funds within the year. Selling at 1.42 = 20% profit. That price is very feasible.

At 1.64 =40% returns also feasible.

Watch for access bank after the deal with diamond is over as it has also become cheap.

If the economy takes a positive turn, consider wema for huge percentage gains as it is 59 kobo now. Could pursue N1.

If fidelity drops to 1.40 to 1.60 also a good buy.

Nigerian breweries is also cheap now. Used to be steady at 133 zone, now in 70 zone.

Certain GTB will crash after the elections following historical charts.

But buy transcorp btw 1.10 and 1.2 its the only clear one i know of now

Cheers
Sir, i differ on GTB, immediately election result was announced, 2015 GTB gainned highest point of 10% and was upward to 55 in 2018. pls i want further explanation on this cos this the best banking stock to me

Very very important, any time this month/February before election will be part of the best time to buy. In days to come, some remaining foreign investors will pull out, and stay by the side to watch election outcome.

The coming general election is volatile in Nation, It's 50/50 between PDP/APC, Out come of the result might lead to crises which I pray that God should help us in picking the right candidate, and I never pray for crisis. As both front contenders once used violence threat during 2011 general election. Both of them been Fulani's are too disparate to win election at all cost.

But for risk takers, before election as we have enter and will still witness within 5 remaining weeks ahead, stocks will still go down, Militant has resuming their oil pipe line attack, and I see it as part of election building up. Bonanza period is gradually arriving, we should take advantage of it, and buy into sound fundamental stocks.
Thanks my brother am sure by God grace there will be peace after the election and those who failed to line up timely will need to get in when the party is almost at the middle one should just pitch tent with fundamentally sound stocks and laugh at last. Imagine uniler of 52 selling for less than 34. By his grace just 5 fundamentaly sound stocks will give me my Target this year then go to Church for thanksgiving

I guess as much too.... but it depends on Otedola's sales terms and timing I think.
what i don't really understand is this, when otedola took over as the major shareholder upstream services was included as part of assets he inherited and as he is selling his controlling interest, upstream services should include what prudent energy will take over but am surprised is only down stream prudent energy is taking over. Now my question is, if upstream is sold where would the proceeds go? am no bothered about geregu cos he has 50% shareholding there.

Bros, I don't think you get the point in the post.

While there were uncertainties around DIAMOND, buying it would be buying into a baseless hope, and like you said, it could turn out sour.

But what I was referring to is a situation where a confirmed news of a proposed merger has been announced, with a stipulated future price of over 200%. That's the opportunity I'm referring to. For those who had funds ready in their trading accounts, you could have easily bought up to 5m units on Monday 17th. That 5m would have become 10m within 3weeks.
Why do you think from Tuesday bids on the stock started averaging about 500m daily with less than 1% getting filled? people were trying to key into the opportunity, but it was already late.

Nairametrics confirmed the news even before market opened on Monday 17th. And on 17th, there were those who didn't have funds at all to take positions with, while there were others who for whatever reasons thought it was in ACCESS they needed to take positions. I can still remember most bids placed before 12:00 at 1.04 were filled.

If you bought dollar when it was already 520, and you became aware of the CBN's interventions, and yet you held on rather than sell off, you're weren't taking opportunity, you were making a silly investment decision.

The opportunity I was referring to is when you see external reserves falling from over $40bn to as low as $22 bn, with oil doing $27 from over a hundred. Then you hear of over $4bn dollars backlog in repatriation demands that the CBN has been unable to meet. You wouldn't need a prophet to tell you that a devaluation is imminent. That's when you seize the opportunity. Not that you jump in when the trends are all reversing, and then quote me wrongly.

And for the guy who was listing stocks that lost money. I don't know what time frame you're picking o. But what I do know is that soon as the I&E FX window was launched by the CBN in April'17, FPIs were encouraged to return. And given the almost rock bottom prices of most stocks at that time. They were mostly cheap bargains to them, and they loaded up. The result? NSE was up 37% 3rd best performance globally. If you looked at between mid April '17 and mid Jan '18, the index gained close to 60%. So you could have waited for a few months after the FPIs started coming to confirm that the market was indeed presenting an opportunity. Then you take position in a few sound stocks, and by exiting in Jan 18, there's a pretty good chance your funds would have been doubled. That's the opportunity I was talking about. Not that you jump in when it's already over, and misconstrue an idea. When that kind of opportunity will again come to the NSE is everyone's hope. It may not be for another decade. Some people think after elections though.

If you still think I'm talking trash. I agree.
Sir,

Am a die hard fan of NSE and i will ever be till Jesus comes, i pulled out my money from stocks to TB immediately i qualified for dividends cos i was very sure stock would fall as a result of incoming election. Infact, my broker did not want to believe me but he later chatted me and said he was sure i will be smiling now, for your infor, my target from capital market this yr by God grace is 5m in capital appreciation while hoping to get 1.1m dividend. However, the point i was trying to let you know is, we should also let people know the risk involves we dont just tell them the sweeter part of the investment like in 2008/2009 i know a lot of people that loose their gratuity and many died cos brokers were just telling them to buy trash myself inclusive not knowing a dime about the shares they were told to buy. Where is intercontinental, ocenic, phb, spring bank, and the latest skye bank which i told people long ago not to touch at all cos investors bear the consequences of CBN action on them but yet brokers were still advising their clients to buy these are investment poor people loose their money and lives just because they dont know much about. I have received request for PM on good stocks to buy but i dont do such i rather advice people to read about what they want to put their money into we should not just tell them the sweeter part of the investment we should let them know the bitter part of it like for instance, i bought transcorp 1.34k and following day it dropped to 1.28k i sold @ 1.28k the same stock fell that same day to 1.20k and am writing you now the stock is 1.16K. That is my take on it

You forgot to mentioned stock that have lost last year.
PZ (-41%), NB (-36%), Access (-34%), Wapco (-72%) etc.
So, it is all about risk profile of the individual .
He also failed to mention Skye bank polarised by CBN if the diamond bank had gone the way of Skye bank and sure he would not mention them. I also invest on NSE but I do a calculated risk before committing my hard earn money. He also failed to mention people who bought dollars at 450 and sold at 400 and 360 my advice is people should just study the risk before they put head.

Guys I have diamond and zenith in my portfolio and I wish to get more diamond but the decision came so late and now as we know dbl is in full bid. I am also thinking of cashing out on zenith I bought @29 to stop loss @40% to reinvest in access when it drops to #5 in January. Does this make sense @all?
in my own small sense, zenith may likely get back to that price base on dividend announcement but if you can take the risk then you can bail out into access. For access, before there will be effect of shares dilution it will be after the consummation of marriage with db and that of their right issue so it may not affect their current financial yr in term of their tashere dividend to shareholders
