GonFreecss1: It has been affecting the NSE for a while, and it's about to hit us even harder if oil prices drop which smart foreign investor will leave their money in Naira assets, when the strength of the naira is dependent on basically said oil?
The Treasury bill people arguing with me are about to understand the consequences of a short term memory and too much optimism without logical analysis. The same with most NSEMPA people, many will understand that if something bad happened to you before, if you don't learn from it, you will continue to suffer the consequences. so where do will put our monies, savings in the bank? |

Miracletwinee: Hello everyone just got back from the states These people are not smiling at all I wonder what is happening even JFK that used to be a breeze has changed . Got in through JFK we were directed to the self profiling machine some of their officers were on ground to do the separation i.e those of us who had rice and beans passport ( kids with dual citizenship). We were asked to stay on a particular queue come and see people Naija, cocoyi chinko etc. see drilling people were taken away for 2ndry inspection we spent over 1hr on that particular queue and we were not allowed to join another queue about 2 other flights came in after us and the same separation was done. When it got to our turn the man was tired and was getting ready to change shift. We handed over our passports With a frown on his face he removed the children's American passports and asked who is this we pointed at the half asleep child asked to see the second one we pointed he asked why they had a passport different from us the parents as if he doesn't know. We told him they were born in the US he nodded and asked if we had a return ticket we gave him and he glanced through it. He asked how much we had when we told him , for the first time he smiled stamped all our passports. We ran collected our luggages and out into the freezing cold in New York. God must surely deliver us from bad governance and heal our land so that this mass exodus can stop. See young, smart promising Nigerian youths on the streets of America doing menial jobs to keep body and soul together once again this early Momo I pray that God will heal our land and return our lost glory Amen oooo! |

RealityShot: you are still thinking..
i have been trying to convince mine and his rich friends and some youths (even one who entered Npower 2years ago) since last year when tbills was 18%.. They still don't want to or care ..
i am beginning to think that Nigerians are not very financially savvy and don'twant to learn.
one of my dad's friends put over 200 million in unity bank from 2014 to 2016 and earned 6% ... When i told him about tbills @ 14% he never talked about it again.
Tbills is not for everyone. Everyone cannot be WARREN BUFFET.
TOO BAD On point Sir, being poor is a thing of choice and being rich also is a thing of choice. |

sunnydayasaba: Bros, Sorry to intrude on your privacy, thatcut my attention. I own property in that area too, I bought almost same price and same year as you stated, developed one and 1 is for sale at #4 million. Though if invested in Tbill I don't think anyone will be patient enough to compound a 200k investment for over 13years that's why i always advice people, if you can get property at a very cheap rice, I think is best to invest in that instead of Tbill.
Meanwhile, How did you watch them take over your property without doing nothing or compelling them to give you another one elsewhere? i dont want to go back to that again, what am doing now is working for me perfect! when am ready to go into property, i will do with rest of mind! |

BiafraIShere: You just said my mind! The other poster that is contemplating whether to sell his property and invest in TBills and the insinuations some people made about TBill offering a better prospect made me consider my own situation and I discovered that property investment is better. In my own case, I bought a land @ 1.2 million in 2013 I.e 5 years ago and with sundry expenses like agent fee, ego omenala (tradition money) and power of attorney, everything amounted to around 1.5 million. Today, the market value of that same piece of undeveloped land is 3 million and I just leased it to a small branch of RCCG church to be paying 60k annually. So, if I had been investing in Treasury Bills since the past five years at say 14% interest rate, the maximum I could have gotten probably won't have exceeded 700k plus capital 1.5m which together is still significantly less than the 3m. So, I guess TBills is a great investment but property is better. BOSS still depend on your investment strategy and risk appetite! if i had invested same in either ACCESS or Zenith that same year, by now the money would would be almost 4m. Below is the analysis. zenith with 1.2m will give me 109k units @11(good entry point) then sell at #33 April this yr, it gives #3,597,000 and for access 1.2m will give me 300k units @4 then sell for #13 april this year, it gives #3,900,000 both from 2013 till april this year. I can turn that same money over this pre-election period and double same after the election. so it depends on your risk appetite and the investment terrain you understands and know very well. I bought 2plots of land at isheri osun lagos then @ 200k each in 2005 but lost to omoonile issues so i will rather buy property from the owner and not land pls that is just my own opinion |

kolaish: I will rather choose FBNH over Access. But then, it is not a good timing for now to buy either stocks because there is possibility of them still going down lower, though the market is unpredictable. pls why your choice of fbn cos FA of access is better than FBN |

Treasury bills, shares or fixed deposit? It depends on your appetite for risk, I have done all but I will prefer Tbills and shares. |
