God we are foing through alot in Nigeria. Dont inflict life threatening sickness on us. We are going through alot. Imagine the president of a country going for routine medical check ups. What of his over 160million citizens

These politicians dont give a damn about culture or religion. They are one and d same to each other. They see we the common people as their enemies. Its unfortunate we the common people make their job easier for them, by dividing ourselves on things so insignificant. The two major religion In this country and even all cultures deep down want to just live in peace and enjoy the fruits of the nation. How can u all want the same thing and still be fighting each other!? NIGERIANS wake up!

I have so many friends(christians) who are far knowledge than this man. They are more tolerant and peace loving than this man. Side note to Muslims out there dont let what few Christians say or do make u conclude that, that is the way other Christians are. Other nations including the "uk" seen as the origin of Nigeria Christianity allow Hijab in their classrooms.

If they didn't do they have right to claim it simply because they fund it?

Are the Christian children who attend those schools not also indigenes that deserve educational right from government?

If yes, why is the government now blackmailing the schools simply because they are fulfilling their responsibilities to indigenes children


Did government not sign agreement with the owners on how the school should be run based on the objective it was created on

So why is the government now changing everything, did government buy the schools off the hands of CAN and the missionaries

If government can no longer keep to its bargain why can't they stop funding it and leave it for the owners

Firstly how would u know I'm a Muslim...secondly the tertiary institutions u mentioned above belongs to who. Whose money is used to fund it? Thirdly mind u even the convent uni and odas u mentioned are subject to the ministry of education.

Most people making defamatory comments here about muslims are mostly hypocrites. Over a piece of clothing u can't tolerate another person, it is not as if the peice of clothing is revealing, the peice of clothing doesn't disfigure the school uniform in anyway. Just hair covering. I bet, if let's say the Hijab isn't something common with Muslims, no single person will complain. Tolerance!!!

Except in this case it is not a christian school it is a PuBLIC school. I can start a school today as a Christian and call it Mohammed school, it is just a name. It is th government that runs the school for everyone. In saudi today 99% of schools name are arabic... How difficult is this. If UNN today said no Christian should come to their school how would u feel This is how crisis happens. How can something as a simple clothing material cause so much chaos. It is not as if they came to school naked or the students changed the skuls uniform. We over do things in Nigeria. Even in the United kingdom , where Nigerias version of christianity emanated from. Muslim students are allowed to wear Hijab. Hypocrites that is what majority of people in Nigeria are, nothing less.

For your info the Okesuna Primary School that I attended in Ilorin is a government owned school, yet we were forced to sing Islamic songs every morning.

The primary school I attended in Rivers state. I was forced to close my eyes and sing. I then went to a public secondary school still here in Rivers state and i was intimidated by my own teachers and told to clap my hands till i was in ss1. And i still TOLORATED it. Because even whilst I was young and not a christian I understood simple things lyk religious tolerance.

Why would you enroll your child at C & S School and expect them to allow her wear hijab.

That been said, we should learn to be tolerant in this Country, Wearing hijab wouldn't change anything in the school but I understand the fear of the school authority, if they allow hijab now, in the next ten years Muslim will claim to be the owner of the school and they will build mosque and even make attempt to rename the school.

But to be honest why do Muslims like problem so much, their attitude is an antonym of there "religion of peace" slogan.
Why do they like provoking Christians, all the religion crisis in this Country have been ignited by Muslims.

I dont understand why this is even an issue in the first place, they are not forcing anyone to wear it. Even in the UK one of the most advanced and educated nations in the world allows the female Muslim student to wear Hijab. They are wise enough to respect other people beliefs but hear in Nigeria where we have coconut head "professors" of islam just behave anyhow and hatred for a particular people.
