[b]News from our sources say the Lagos state government has commenced work on the N325bn Lekki seaport situated in Ibeju-Lekki.
At the ground breaking ceremony, marking the beginning of the project, The Managing Director, Lekki Port, Mr. Haresh Aswani, said, “We are honoured to be part of this promise. We thank the Federal Government of Nigeria and its agency, the NPA, and the Lagos State Government for their support as we look forward to this partnership."
Mr. Aswani also added that the success of the project was as a result of favourable policies put in place by the government of Lagos state.
Experts at the ceremony urged the incoming government, to emulate the laudable project embarked upon by the Governor of Lagos state.
