Those who signed the pact should answer this question.

However, some business men in Niger Republic, Mali, and Burkina Faso use Lagos port for their import and Nigeria generate money from it and when completed, it will serve domestic industries and play the role of a viable transportation backbone to the West African subregion, starting with the neighbouring Niger Republic for their export and import logistic chain.

In 2013, Jonathan’s govt unveiled plans to build rail line to Niger Republic
The government of then-president Goodluck Jonathan had announced plans to construct a rail line from Zaria in Kaduna state to Niamey, the capital of Niger Republic.
Then-Vice President Namadi Sambo, who made the announcement, had said the rail line will run through Zamfara, Sokoto and Kebbi states.
Now that the project has returned to the limelight, the president said it was part of a masterplan in an agreement signed in 2015 between Nigeria and Niger, and coordinated by the Nigeria-Niger Joint Commission for Cooperation.

There was massive turnout at the wedding fatiha of the daughter of former governor of Kano state, Senator Ibrahim Shekarau.

Kwankwaso served as Waliyyi, who gave out the daughter of the former governor, Halima Ibrahim Shekarau (Amira), to Adamu Yusuf Maitama.

Daily Trust reports that the wedding ceremony, which took place at Umar Bn Khattab mosque along Zaria road, was attended by Senate President Ahmad Lawan, Senator Barau Jibrin and other top politicians.

Hundreds of supporters from the two major political parties in the state were present at the wedding, with each chanting support for their leaders, especially the Kwankwasiyya whose symbol of red cap dominated the place.

While Kwankwaso proceeded to his house after the wedding, Shekarau took the Senate president to his residence and later accompanied him to condole with Kwankwaso over the death of his younger brother.

Shekarau had earlier visited Kwankwaso’s residence, on Thursday, to pay condolences.

Shekarau and Kwakwanso are two leading politicians in not just Kano but Nigeria.

PoliticsRe: Ortom Yet To Commission Any Meaningful Project In Benue State by ArewaNorth: 3:07pm On Dec 24, 2021
HIS ONLY LEGACY IS THE CREATION OF FUNAM
Ortom is one of the most evil Governors who hide in the guise of religion to loot and distract people I have ever seen.
He created non-existing Fulani online organisation in the name of FUNAM and use it to play with emotions of Benue people.
The group he created have never given a press conference and its signatories are unknown, even Boko Haram, bandits, IPOB and other terror groups are bold enough to reveal their identity but the creation of Ortom are still ghosts.

They simply circulate their write up on the internet and on WhatsApp and unfortunately, many people believe them to be true spokespersons for the herder community. The reality is that mischief makers who want to exacerbate violence and killings circulate such material and they have been very successful in persuading people to engage in killings and revenge killings, deepening the cycles of bloody violence in our society.

Every time Governor Ortom sets out to mobilise anger against the Fulani community, a provocative press release, allegedly from FUNAM, will appear and it will generate emotions against the community. So many people have been killed because some people genuinely believe that these press releases are true statements coming from the Fulani pastoral community.
The level of threat, arrogance and provocation in the statements is so high that there is no surprise that it always generates more violence. The security agencies should investigate this matter as it has become a major driver of hate and violence in our society.

True men of God from both religious groups don't shed blood!

Thank God you mentioned Rules of Engagement, they brake that rules mostly in the south and specifically southeast, that is why the US told them to limit the use of tuscano jets to the North.

Nigerian government should lift the siege in the south east, the number of military and police checking points extorting money from people will bring nothing but resentments.

If the southeast is calmed down by reducing military and police presence, those forces should then be sent up north.

PoliticsSources: Commissioner Who Dumped Matawalle’s Cabinet Is Originally From Imo by ArewaNorth(op): 10:58am On Dec 24, 2021
Hajiya Rabi Shinkafi, the former Commissioner for Women and Children Affairs in Zamfara State, is originally from Imo, according to sources.

Shinkafi made the headlines after she resigned from the cabinet of Governor Bello Matawalle to pick up another appointment in Imo State.

A top source in Zamfara State Government House told Daily Trust that she is originally from Imo but married to someone from Shinkafi LGA of the state.

The source said the commissioner was born in Imo and that her father is a popular traditional ruler there.

“She became an indigene of Zamfara State on marital ground as she is married to a retired top civil servant from Shinkafi LGA of the state,” he said.

He said she was appointed commissioner under Matawalle’s administration to represent Shinkafi LGA.

“She is only going back home. Her father is a traditional ruler in Imo State. It is the slot of Shinkafi LGA that was given to her by Matawalle,” the source said.

Another source who also confirmed that she is originally from Imo, said she succumbed to pressure from her home state.

“Shortly after she was nominated as commissioner in Zamfara, the Imo governor also nominated her for same position. Since then, there has been pressure on her to dump Zamfara for Imo,” the source, a governor’s aide, said.

In an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Gusau, the Zamfara State capital, Shinkadfi confirmed that she was joining the Governor Hope Uzodinma-led government in Imo State.

“I resigned my appointment as commissioner in Zamfara to enable me to pick another appointment as commissioner in Imo. I am immensely grateful to Governor Bello Matawalle and his wife, Hajiya Aisha, for their kindness to me and for giving me the opportunity to serve Zamfara in different capacities.

“All the speculations in the social media about my resignation are completely false; it was just the work of mischief-makers.

“I have a perfect and cordial relationship with the governor and his wife. I consider them as my family and they are in the picture of my going to Imo.

“Both Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo and Matawalle discussed it as fellow APC governors and as friends too,’’ she said.

Politics20 Years After, Family, Friends Demand Justice For Bola Ige by ArewaNorth(op): 10:48am On Dec 24, 2021
Twenty years after the murder of the late first Executive Governor of Oyo State and former Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Chief Bola Ige, the family and friends on Thursday demanded justice for their father and friend.

Daily Trust reports that Chief Bola Ige was killed by unknown gunmen at his Bodija residence, Ibadan, the Oyo State capital on December 23, 2001.

This demand for justice formed the centre stage at the 20th anniversary memorial and communion service of the political gladiator held at Saint Anne’s Church, Molete, Ibadan.

In his sermon, Bishop of Ibadan Diocese, Anglican Communion, The Most Reverend Joseph Akinfenwa said it was unfortunate that the alleged killers of the late Bola Ige were still unknown.

Akinfenwa said 20 years on, strife and bitterness were still evident among Nigerians, which according to the cleric, had hindered the progress of the nation.

Speaking on behalf of the family, the first son of the late former governor, Muyiwa Ige said the family was disappointed that no one had been identified as the killer of their father.

“We are disappointed that killers of my father are still not been identified. It is unfortunate and disheartening,” he said.

In their separate interviews, political associates of the late Bola Ige, including a former deputy Governor of Oyo State, Chief Iyiola Oladokun, Mr Ayo Afolabi and Mr Adetunji Adepeju said no matter how long it takes, the killers of the political icon would be found and punished.

Other dignitaries at the service included Director General, National Agency for Foods, Drugs and control, NAFDAC, Dr Mojisola Adeyeye, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Chief Niyi Akintola and a former Chief Whip of the Senate, Senator Olusola Adeyeye.

1. Ministers should be appointed from each States of the federation.

2. Service CHIEFS are appointed base on ranks; most senior officers are presented to President and he has the right to choose those he is comfortable with irrespective of their ranks among them. Finally, I didn't feed you with these information just to protect PMB's appointments, however, it can be deduced that Politicians and elites are strongly advocating for power shift to their region or zone solely because they very well know that it will favour them especially with lucrative appointments.

There has been enormous challenges since our return to democracy but only those who witnessed Democracy and the game played from1999 to date will understand the constant outcries from ethno-religious, regional and zonal perspectives

Read the article again, plus I worked in one of his companies so I know what I'm talking. He only takes 1st class n 2:1 then pay them peanuts.
Whatever the case may be this is a different recruitment process that he is appealed to offer and it's equally stated in the attached letter that only first class and 2:1 will be sent!

I created the thread and I'm very happy that I took part in the meeting 2019 after NSE AGM that took place in Kano that resulted in the recruitment of Young Engineers.

The paper tiger strikes again. Russia has been irrelevant since the 1970s. Putin thinks he can bring back the old Soviet Union of its glory days, that ship sailed a long time ago. If NATO were to descend on Russia, they will be wiped off the face of the earth, but of course it will be a pyrrhic victory nobody wants.
Do I think they could do on Russia what they failed to do in Afghanistan and Iraq for 20yrs and 18yrs respectively?

Ponder well!

BusinessRe: Global Debt Reaches A Record $226 Trillion by ArewaNorth: 3:26pm On Dec 22, 2021

Lai Muhammad should coman debunk this rumour and tell us the real amount...

This govt came to finish Nigeria and if there will be Nigeria on 2022 if they continue like this cos China will take over Nigeria cos of debt...
U.S has more than $26.trillion debt and the Chinese do own a lot of U.S. debt—about $1.1 trillion as of early 2020. Japan and China own about 5.2% and 4.6% of the U.S. debt, respectively. Japanese-owned debt doesn't receive nearly as much negative attention as Chinese-owned debt, ostensibly because Japan is seen as a friendlier nation and the Japanese economy hasn't been growing at a 7% clip year after year. The other countries that hold the most U.S. debt include the U.K., Brazil, and Ireland. So, forget all that debt issues and invest, when it's time to enjoy the debt, enjoy it. Let me help u with the site that can help u see more of U.S heavy debt profile:
