BluntCrazeMan:I said ATBU in the headline because the letter belongs to them. In the write-up, I made it clear that he promised the same thing to KUST, ABU has been benefiting from his recruitments. Also the letter make it clear that he intends to employ graduate Engineers across the Nation not only those schools. I took part as a delegate of Young Engineers in a meeting in 2019 whereby we appealed to him and Abudssamad BUA to employ graduate Engineers especially from Kano and Jigawa. The meeting was convened by Jigawa-Kano professionals forum, NSE of the two states branches lead by Vice President, World Federation of Engineering (WFEO), Engr.MUSTAPHA Balarabe Shehu. I'm upbeat this recruitment will cut across the Nation! |

Many people don't understand El Rufai. He and Sunusi Lamido are suffering from psychological and mental disorder. They only believe in themselves and their principles, Any other verdict beside their is unacceptable. I bet that PMB will be the next President that ElRufai will abuse and accuse oflota ofwrkng doings! |
descarado:It isn't true. Averagely speaking there is no cultism in Northern states. Politicians use thugs not cultist. Only political will can end cultism and thuggery. Between 1999-2011 there were many thugs in Jigawa, Katsina (kauraye), Gombe, Bauchi (Sara suka), Kano (yan daba) but with political will of the predecessors of those Governors there are nor those gangsters in Katsina, Jigawa, Bauchi, Gombe and Kano. It is only recently that Ganduje is trying to set back the good work of his predecessors in Kano. Kwankwaso has done excellent work with very good approach in eliminating those gangs in Kano. There are thugs bit not cultist! |

9jvirgin:It isn't the problem of British but a problem caused by people who live in denial despite being responsible for the problem they accused British and others for. Do you know that when Tafawa Balewa was Prime Minister of Nigeria; Chief of Army Staff was from SE Chief of Naval Staff was from SE IG of Police was from SE Chief of Defence Staff was from SE Internal Affairs Minister SE External Affairs Minister SE Education Minister South SE Many other key ministries to SE Parliament President SE Unilag VC from SE The University of Ibadan VC from SE North resisted same at ABU! Still, there was dissatisfaction by SE, the officers from the region killed this same Balewa!!!! Out of all the most senior officers in Nigeria, SE has 37, none was killed. 8 from the north, all of them were killed. 10 from the west, 2 were killed. Then Ironsi imposed a unitary system of government on the country so that everything can belong to a region who snatched it! We must know our history so that when we want to make corrections, we will not end up concealing the truth. This has nothing to do with tribalism but everything to do with the truth.....at times when lies litter the streets. There is a tendency to think those are truths and facts. *What follows are facts that can be cross-checked for authenticity!"* Prof. Ben Nwabueze was the man who drafted the constitution that took away powers from regions and handed it to the central government because his brother Aguiyi Ironsi was the head of state then but some ignorant or selfish people limit their accusations to only Abdussalam Abubakar constitution that give birth to current democratic govt. Today, they're shouting restructuring that they helped to destroy. We won’t forget.”*. The Igbo man is known to enjoy blaming the Hausa fulanis, Yorubas and indeed every other Nigerian tribe and Lord Luggard/Britain for their seeming claim of being in third class citizen status in Nigeria or refuse to let them go. In their perpetual attempts to play the victim card, they recount the political events of Nigeria from 1914 to the present in a half-baked and highly selective manner which cleverly avoids the mention of the roles played by their elite who by all natural laws of judgement were actually responsible for the woes that befell not only the Igbo race but the entire Nigeria nation. However, the national archives have the complete and unedited history of Nigeria regarding the political events beginning way back from even before 1914. Shortly after the 1914 Amalgamation of the Northern and Southern Protectorates, it started getting clear that the country was bound to fail as the amalgamation in question was done with colonial fiat without the consent and consensus of the different tribes which were over 300. This prompted the political leaders to start asking for de-amalgamation so as to forestall the future danger which the forced amalgamation portended. To that end, Ahmadu Bello, speaking on behalf of the Northern protectorate in 1944 described the amalgamation as "The mistake of 1914 which if allowed to remain will ultimately lead to unstoppable bloodshed and a failed country". Awolowo, speaking on behalf of the Yorubas and Western minorities, described Nigeria as a mere geographical expression not qualified to be called a country let alone a nation. Awolowo added that if the amalgamation could not be reversed, then Nigeria should be structured as a strictly federal state so as to enable each tribe enjoy autonomy this freedom from being dominated by any one single tribe. But Nnamdi Azikiwe, speaking for the Igbos, denounced Awolowo and Ahmadu Bello, terming them ethnic champions. He accused them of nursing a sectional agenda against the unity of Nigeria, and he declared further that the Unity of Nigeria was non-negotiable. After moving the motion for independece in 1953, Anthony Enahoro proposed that a secession clause should be incorporated into the future constitution of Nigeria so as to give legal backing for any tribe to peacefully exit the forced union if it feels marginalized in future. According to Enahoro, such provision in our constitution would instill in all Nigeria's future leaders the fear of the consequences of misgovernance. However, Azikiwe, speaking on behalf of Igbos, rose against him in the parliament and labelled him an agent of disunity, and enemy of Nigeria. At a later date, Awolowo too made a case for secession clause, but Azikiwe again resisted him and instigated the colonial authorities to threaten him and Enahoro with charges of treasonable felony if they didn't stop proposing secession clause for the future constitution. While Azikiwe did all these, Igbos cheered and urged him on because they felt the future Nigeria was theirs to dominate and lord it over every other tribe. Before independece, Tafawa Balewa too had in a public speech described Nigeria as a British experiment and Nigeria's unity as a British intention which Nigerians themselves don't believe in. But Azikiwe kicked and demonized him too. Had Azikiwe co-operated with Enahoro, Awolowo, Ahmadu Bello and Tafawa Balewa about the secession clause, Nigeria perhaps would not have been this misgoverned. It should be noted that there were many Igbo members of the parliament in which Azikiwe fought against Awolowo's secession clause proposal in the link above, but not a single one of them rose against Azikiwe or condemned him. Igbos initially never wanted to hear anything like secession in Nigeria because they so much believed, though falsely, that they were the most educated tribe. As an evidence of Igbo domination agenda hence their initial resistance to the idea of secession; here is a quote: "From all indications, the god of us Igbos have destined us to rule the whole of Africa" Northerners have clearly known this & will never succumb to cheap political trick, how can u call us backward and at the same time asking us to go back to 1963 constitution talkless of even amending the current constitution? Exonerate British from your allegations and accept that your forefathers are responsible for it! |

Rugaria:Go and check the billions Niara soft loan he collected from CBN. Dangote is bigger than the loan he collected from CBN but he did because business is for smart people not dullard as u sound. Did innoson applied quarter system in his company recruitment? The major beneficiaries of Dangote companies are host states and communities he sited his company... Keep wailing and ask ur people to indulge into similar businesses than ranting out of bigotry... |
Alaigbopress:Stop this complain if u have never followed his previous recruitment to the oil refinery. The 900 staffs he sent to India abt 2yrs ago are they from heaven? Most of them are from south! |
Rugaria:Read the letter and you will see how he made his intentions clear. This unnecessary bigotry and spread of hate is needless. This is just the start and the operation hasn't yet taken off yet. Dangote's wealth and her source are well known beyong ur bigotry, he refused to enter oil sector earlier because of ppl like u who will smear his name. Ask Yorubas, they're the major beneficiaries of his wealth in terms of jobs and economy. Most of his foremost trustees are Hausa-Fulani and Yoruba because they make themselves worth the trust. Keep going peddling the drugs to Malaysia and Cambodian and see if u can be employable for such jobs. Tolerate others and make ur environment peaceful fornon-indigines business to thrive and u will see Dangote there. Now BUA is making his refinery at Akwa Ibom, this Eastern oil u keep repeating is nonsensical and misleading. Oil pipeline to the North is a long term plan to channel oil from Delta to Europe but it will go through Northern Nigeria, Niger Republic, Sahara, Algeria, and go to Europe, this is business and the AKK pipeline is funded by PPP mostly private companies. Business know no tribe or religion. |
Dangote oil Refinery absorbs 3 consecutive set of ATBU Engineering Graduates Dangote has directed the absorption of Electrical/Electronic, Mechanical, and Chemical Engineering Graduates from ATBU, Bauchi who graduated between 2019-2021. Dangote who is the Chancellor of KUST Wudil, Kano has promised to do the same to the University since 2016 while Engineering Graduates from ABU and other universities have been benefitting from such recruitments. This is in line with his commitment to recruit Young Engineers across the the Nation into his multibillion dollar oil refinery.

This is the work of Jagaban. Timely intervention by Tinubu made this man get to his sense and adopt peaceful resolution than the previous thug style approach. Tinubu is truly a leader! |
OneBulletOnly:When North was under invasion of Boko Haram and now banditry would you agree if they claim they're under attack of crusaders? You only learn the pain of others when the same disaster befalls on you. Many bigots, see BH insurgency as a Northern agenda which resulted in killing thousands of youths especially in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa. BH disguised in the pretence of Islam to perpetrate all sort of criminalities. When bandits are orchestrating their evil on Northerners, you accused North of bringing Jihadist with zero sympathy to the victims of the banditry who are majorly Muslims. If they killed them who are going to be left to Preside over? When Kanu brought Biafra violent agitation, u supported him, funded him and cheered him. You see him as Messiah, he made all kinds of hate speeches against Yoruba, Hausa-Fulani, Islam and North, you still adhere with his principles, his disciples killed many securities and burnt many Govt properties, instead of you to call him to order you protect him and accuse govt of sponsoring the attacks just to defame his movement. How on earth can security agencies comprising of all Nigerians from all ethno-religious groups allow such things to happen? Many IPOBs were caught and publicly interrogated for such mayhem and confessed their actions but the whole Igbos deny it. It is irresponsible to deny Govt involvement in Northern insecurity and accept her involvement in Eastern insecurity. You can't forever live in denial when the truth is being revealed. Boko Haram, banditry and Eastern terrorism are born out of sympathy people showed to wicked people who are not out to help in their cause but selfish interest! When BH insurgency was at its peak under GEJ you said it is an effort to make GEJ's government ungovernable, should we say the same thing for Eastern terrorism as an effort to make PMB's Govt ungovernable? No! We don't accuse baselessly or out of hate. This is self destruction for the hate of man who will rule for just 8yrs and go! |

Practically, 1979 constituition is a copy and paste of 1999 constituition with very little changes, and I'm sure you know who inaugurated and dictate the contents of the constitution. You need to know who are the members of the constitution committee. How can they be so dumb, dogmatic and stupid to accept what isn't suitable for their people? Why during the constitution conferences your people didn't challenge it? Learn to be more smart than you appear! Boko Haram is a creation of few criminals who have no political influence in their territory and used it to get power, strictly a creation of Kanuri from only Yobe and Borno with zero support of others even among them. Unlike the monster you created, funded and cheered, here we want them to be crushed and nobody want Islamic state in Nigeria. Shariah system predated the coming of colonial masters, missionaries and explorers in the North. Therefore asking them to completely switch from Shariah system they so much cherish and feel comfortable with may sound like a surreptitious religious agenda to shortchange their doctrines and principles they believe in. How can you be so bigotic and fanatic to insist on imposing what others don't want and clearly a creation of your belief? Almost all Republican Nations in the world have different constitutional laws that guide their conducts in different regions and states. Your accusations are baseless and extremely bias. Stop crying and live your life. What happened had happened and nothing can change it! |
BiggyB242:You are welcome. Yes, I'm a Northerner! |
BiggyB242:The training is done in batches with North-Central states starting and all other zones will subsequently do theirs. The number is too much to be accommodated at the same time that is why it is done this way. Alleging that is only Northerners and Middlebelt states is misleading because States of Nigeria which are generally referred to as belonging to the Middle Belt are: old Plateau (now Plateau and Nasarawa), old Gongola (now Adamawa and Taraba), Niger, Kwara, Kogi, Benue, the Federal Capital Territory, alongside Southern Kaduna, Southern Bauchi, Southern Kebbi, Southern Gombe, Southern Yobe State. Major indigenous languages are; Tiv, Igede, Ebira, Fulani, Gbagyi, Idoma, Igala, Jukun, Kainji languages, Nupe, Plateau languages, Yoruba. In Geopolitical distribution of Nigeria, there is nothing like middlebelt. We only have zones and zones are always considered in Federal character principles! |
Imagine the ranting they'll flood on the thread if it were in other part of the Nation. These people are more fanatic than any other group of Nigerians! |
onuman:Is it not better to have Shari'a system for those who advocate for it, which defined the jurisdiction of criminal cases for thieves, murderous and adulterers than to have a lawless society driven by jungle justice? We have seen in numerous occasions how petty thieves are burnt to death, killed by beatings, killed in many inhumane and cruel manners; these are societies that don't like Sharia system but are driven by jungle Justices! In addition, the same penal codes and sections that defined the jurisdiction in criminal cases in not only Nigeria but advanced Nations have death penalty by Electrocution, by hanging, by firing and all sort of barbaric manners, therefore how is it different from those you so much detest Sharia system with no conscience? Muslims would be happy and won't in anyway resist establishment of Christian Justice system in Nigeria because we so much believe that Islam and Christianity guide humans in the best way of life! You (your people) are in many occasions seen here on Nairaland jubilating the destruction of NE, mocking them, calling them terrorists. However, as Boko Haram is fighting for independent Islamic state, IPOB is equally also fighting for independent Biafra land, a state with no Islam or other tribes but only Igbos. Both Boko Haram and IPOBs are terrorists and are restricted to Eastern part of Northern and Southern part of the country respectively. Let them be dealt with by military with no aorta of mercy. Nigerian territory is for the multicultural and multi-ethnic, multi-religious Nigerians who have the constitutional right to decide the guidance and conducts of their life. The military did not write any constitution — apart from promulgating the enabling decrees. On November 11, 1998, Abdulsalami inaugurated the Constitution Debate Co-ordinating Committee (CDCC) to “pilot the debate, co-ordinate and collate views and recommendations canvassed by individuals and groups and submit report not later than 31 December 1998”. It was not headed by a soldier but by Justice Niki Tobi, with Dr. Suleiman Kurmo as deputy chairman. There was no single military man on the committee. They went round the country to collect memoranda from the public through town hall meetings in Benin, Enugu, Jos, Port Harcourt, Kaduna, Kano, Ibadan, Lagos and Sokoto. They excluded military formations. After all the frenetic debates — up and down, north and south, east and west — the Tobi committee submitted its report to the military government. Tobi said: “In the light of the memoranda and the oral presentation on the 1995 Draft Constitution, it is clear that Nigerians basically opt for the 1979 Constitution with relevant amendments. They want it, and they have copiously given their reasons for their choice in the different memoranda and oral presentations. So they recommended to the Provisional Ruling Council the adoption of the 1979 Constitution with relevant amendments from the 1995 Draft Constitution.” Abdulsalami accepted the recommendation. When the 1999 constitution was finally published, three of them sat down and placed it side by side with the 1979 constitution. They then did a clause-by-clause analysis. The trio were: Mr. Victor Ifijeh (the current MD of The Nation newspaper who was THISDAY editor then), Alhaji Yusuph Olaniyonu (SA to Senate President Bukola Saraki who was THISDAY politics editor at the time) and THISDAY features editor. They did a word-for-word reading and laughed themselves to stupor: this is pure plagiarism of the 1979 constitution! There were only a few notable differences in the two documents, such as the 13% derivation for oil-producing states and the number of states in the federation. While the 1979 constitution spoke about 19 states, 1999 said 36 states, logically. They were only reflecting the realities on ground. FEDECO in the 1979 document changed to INEC in 1999 constitution therefore it can be concluded that the 1999 constitution is a replica of the 1979 constitution. The biggest irony abt the contentious nature of our constitution is the vicious condemnation of the 1999 constitution by some prominent Nigerians who mostly took part in the previous constitution starting committees or got favour & protection by the system. |
onuman:This is mere fanaticism. The constitution we have today is born in a Christian way of life, colonial masters system and colonial masters are Christians who are in a mission to propagate Christianity, banned the existing Islamic laws and replaced them by Christian laws. Should Christians have enough jurisdiction in their Bible it would've been the doctrine of laws we could've been using in Nigeria. If we can sit down and write laws with penal codes and sections that guide our conducts then why the bigotry when Some people choose to live in their own way? Is it not obvious that some people are so uncivilised that women aren't entitled for inheritance in their culture in Nigeria without any existing law backing this cruelty and is still practiced? Stop dodging reality and know that all groups of people have the right to make laws based on their culture and traditions. Customary law is practice where Christians majority reside and Shari'a is adopted where Muslims are majority. Despite Shari'a law, National laws supercede Sharia law and only Muslims are tried in sha ria court, Muslims have the right to say they don't want to be tried in Shariah court. So why the excessive religious fanaticism and bigotry? In a sane society with ethno-religious diversity, states have right to adopt their justice system. In the U.S you see as demigods almost all states have their own laws and Federal laws supercede those of states. We read and listened to some hate speeches of Kanu and his followers and it is indeed very clear that Religious fanaticism and ethnic jingoism is what beclouded their struggle. They targeted Muslims and their businesses during Endsars protest, they always claim there are no Muslims in the East, Muslims are being marginalised! Average IPOB is driven by religious bigotry; check their comments on Nairaland, all they do is to descend their energy on insulting others religion, they're shamelessly calling every Muslim terrorist, they call out Yoruba Muslims all sort of derogatory names which is incline to hate! Ethnic profiling and generalising criminality is very wrong, religious fanaticism and jingoism is a big cancer! |
I hope the military keep the tempo of their attacks on him and his men untill he face the wrath of atrocities he committed on innocent souls! |
GEEBITE:I can't bring myself so low to just exaggerate the number for nothing. Jigawa State has 23,154 km2 size. In Jigawa there is no single LG out of 27 that doesn't have township road, villages are linked to LGs with roads. In Jigawa, within Gwaram LG alone you can cover a distance of more than 70km (Basirka to Gwaram, along Maiduguri road). The topic isn't about city or village but road infrastructure! https://www.blueprint.ng/badaru-constructs-93-jigawa-roads-in-6-years/ |
2023 Presidency: Why we dragged ex-Gov Orji Kalu to court — Bauchi Indigenes Two Bauchi State indigenes have dragged a former governor of Abia State, Senator Orji Uzo Kalu, before the Bauchi State High Court. The Bauchi indigenes said the senator’s failure to declare for the 2023 presidency was responsible for their action. Addressing a press conference in Bauchi, the plaintiffs, Aliyu Ladan and Lawan Abdullahi, informed that they had an agreement with Kalu to contest the presidency under the platform of APC in 2023 but he was being reluctant to declare his interest. The plaintiffs said they know Kalu’s capacity, which is why they want him to be Nigeria’s next president, adding that only a strategic thinker like the former Abia State governor could rescue the country from its current parlous state. They added that they approached the court, presided over by Justice Mohammed A Sambo, to compel the Senate Chief Whip to not only respect the agreement they had with him but also to declare his interest to run in the 2023 general election as a presidential candidate. “We know his capacity to change the scenario; his capacity to change things from negative to positive. He had done it in Abia State. Despite its challenges, Kalu turned the people of Abia into good persons in Nigeria. “As a result of his laudable achievements and leadership capacity, we entered into an agreement with him last 2nd February 2021 that he will contest for president but he is reluctant to declare his interest. “Kalu is a person with all the capacity and capability to change the narratives of the nation. He is a man of purpose and foresight, a mentor to many citizens, a dynamic Nigerian, an advocate of justice, a revolutionary politician, a consummate administrator, master strategist. In fact, he is a blessing not only to Igbo but entire all Nigerians. “We are in court because we want the court to respect our agreement for contesting as President of Nigeria. We want the court to compel Kalu to declare his interest to run in the 2023 general election as a presidential candidate under the platform of APC or any other party. We want the court to direct Kalu to commence preparation and put all the necessary machinery in place for the purpose of contesting as a presidential candidate,” the plaintiffs said. According to the duo, many credible groups across the six geopolitical zones of the country were drumming support for Kalu to vie for the 2023 presidency, noting that they found the former governor worthy to lead Nigeria and deliver good governance to the country. They asserted that Kalu’s credibility, honesty and capacity to deliver endeared him to all Nigerians, adding that, “Kalu has deep relationships with all Nigerians across divides and he has never disappointed in any of these relations. “He knows many Nigerians and has so many businesses across North and Southern parts of the country for decades and has never disappointed anybody in terms of buying and selling because he is a man of his words a trustworthy. “We find him worthy because we know whatever he says he will do, he does and whatever he says he will not do, he will not do it. He is sincere to Nigerians, and Nigerians are always sincere to him.” They, however, urged the ruling All Progressives Congress to commence the process of adopting him as its sole presidential candidate, declaring that Kalu’s managerial skill, experience, and national appeal put him in the best position to rule Nigeria in 2023. Meanwhile, they informed that while their case against the former governor had been adjourned to 27th January 2022 for hearing, Justice Sambo had ordered them to serve Kalu with the originating summons in the suit, marked BA/331/2021, in Abuja outside the jurisdiction of the court. https://dailypost.ng/2021/12/19/2023-presidency-why-we-dragged-ex-gov-orji-kalu-to-court-bauchi-indigenes/ |
Asgard73:Nonsense bigotic assertion. I live almost all my life recently around Rivers, Delta, Anambra and other SS states. It is extremely sad that u consider Wike as a working Governor, he isn't working anywhere beside PHC, Delta is extremely dirty with close to zero infrastructure. It is shameful to include Ondo among the states with good performance. Rotimi isn't performing at the level of some Senators in some other states. I have been to nooks and crannies of this Nation and I can attest with no much praise that only Gombe, Jigawa, Katsina Governments (past and present) do work in the entire LGs across their states. Now, El Rufai has immensely expand his projects to senatorial district of his state, Umahi is trying, Akwa Ibom is doing very well. All other Governors work in state capital and use media to hype their useless work which can't in anyway reflect their allocations. The most deceptive Governors today in Nigeria are Ganduje, Wike, Sanwo-Olu is average (can be considered poorly performing by reflecting on the state allocation and size). Zulum is really trying, he is just 3yrs but his performance has reached various LGs across the state. Every 3 months I enter not less than 15 states across Nigeria, those living in state capitals don't know anything about the wickedness of their Govts! |
Rexwalters1:He had 2 Igbos as his running mate in 2003 and 2007 before switching to Yorubas in 2011 and 2015. Propaganda is created to defame popular Politicians but only fools buy it! |
Bendeco02:El Rufai lost most of his political relevance in Kaduna with his wickedness policies! |
Penguin2:Yes I'm. I know Onu since the time at ANPP! |
Advocate500:Average Northerners are advocating for power shift to the south as I'm talking to u now! Politics is played based on permutation and the permutation done has to be maintained for the sake of democratic coexistence in Nigeria! |
oyatz:Does that mean he can even win PDP primary election? SGF is a mere political appointment while he became SP as a result of party positions permutation! |
I so much hate major Kaduna. His killing of Sardauna and Akintola is ethno-religiously motivated. Had it been it was only Tafawa Balewa they killed it would have been excused but killing Premiers of North and Western region and sparing his region's premier is questionable. Zik knew about the planned coup and left the country, he was supposed to come back but extended his stay for another time to ensure they perpetrated their act when he was away. Why did they killed Sardauna's wife too? Major Kaduna was well taken care of by Sardauna but he still killed him! The coup and killings are motivated by extreme ethno-religious fanaticism! |
