A 17-year old boy caught with their neighbour’s 7-year old girl has opened up and confessed to the police that he wanted to taste sex and lured the victim into it in order to achieve his desire.

A married man, one Emmanuel Ekeocha, has been arrested in Lagos after he forcefully engaged his neighbour’s 14-year old boy in anal sex.

The saying that "only the guilty are afraid" aptly captured what transpired between a Police patrol team led by the Area Commander in-charge of Area D Command, Mushin, ACP Akinbayo Olasoji, and a motorist, later identified as Pius Kingsley Ebere - a big time auto parts dealer based in Ladipo Market on Friday, October 12, 2018.

On the said date, the police team stopped a Honda Accord saloon car with registration number FST 616 DV, owned and driven by Pius Kingsley Ebere, for a routine check. Instead of allowing the police to do their job, the suspect hurried out of his car and escaped.

A 21-year old, Qudus Rasak, who was arrested with human head, has confessed that what was found with him belonged to his friend, Kazeem, who was seriously in need of money.

A 30-year old married woman, Mrs. Blessing David, has been arrested for allegedly taking photograph of her neighbour’s wife, Mrs. Charity, that she caught red handed having sex with their security guard.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Dele Kulajolu Street in Ago Palace Way in Okota, Lagos where they reside.

Mrs. Blessing David was arraigned before the Isolo Magistrates court, Lagos, for conduct likely to cause breach of public peace by taking Charity’s photograph.

According to the police, Mrs. Blessing had conducted herself in a manner to cause the breach of public peace by telling Charity that she had been having immoral affairs with their security guard, one Joseph Koomaali, employed by the residents.

To prove her claim, she was said to have used her Samsung Android phone to take shots of Charity. P.M.EXPRESS was unable to confirm if the photographs in question were taken during the sex romp as claimed by Mrs. Blessing but the police stated it in the court charge sheet.

That caused serious rift between Charity and Blessing which made Charity to go to Ago Police Station to report the incident. Mrs. Blessing was then arrested and taken to the station where she still maintained and told Charity to her face that she had been sleeping with Mr. Joseph.

However, the police viewed Blessing’s action as capable of causing breached of public peace and charged her to the court for the alleged offence.
P.M.EXPRESS scooped that Mr. Joseph was employed as the security guard and after some time Mrs Blessing started suspecting Joseph’s closeness with Charity and secretly used her phone to snap them before she confronted Charity. Mr. Joseph could not be reached by our reporter who visited the house to confirm Blessing’s claims as their neighbour said he had not be around since the incident happened.

However, some of the neighbours blamed Blessing for her attempt to put Charity’s marriage in jeopardy. The neighbours reasoned that if such actually existed between Charity and Joseph, it was not Blessing’s business since Mr. Joseph was not her husband.
The defendant, Blessing was arraigned and she pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Mr. Uagbale, asked the court to give a short adjournment to enable the police to prove the case against the defendant since she pleaded not guilty.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O.A. Teluwo, granted Blessing bail in the sum N10, 000 with one surety in like sum.

A man, Mr. Okwudiri Okechukwu, has landed in trouble in Lagos after he bought a dog, named it Nancy to taunt his female neighbour who bears the name and got separated from her husband.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Majaoba Street in Egan area of Igando, Lagos, where they reside.

Mrs. Nancy Chikere got married and had children but after some years the marriage crashed, so she parked out of her husband’s house and started living alone with her children. It was gathered that Mr. Okechukwu had a disagreement with Nancy over an undisclosed matter in the compound. In reaction, he bought a dog and named it Nancy to the embarrassment of Mrs. Nancy.

He was said to always call the dog’s name and be abusing it; calling the dog all sort of names in reference to the woman. When Mrs. Nancy could not bear it any longer, she confronted Okechukwu to change the dog’s name but he refused. It later led to a fight; she was seriously beaten up and injured.

The matter was reported to the police at Igando Division, Lagos; Okechukwu was arrested and detained at the police station. He was later charged before the Ejigbo Magistrates court for the assault on Mrs. Nancy.
He pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Supol Kenneth Asibor, did not oppose his bail but asked the court for adjournment for trial.
The defendant, Okechukwu, was granted bail in the sum of N50,000 with one surety in like sum. He was remanded in prison pending when he will perfect his bail condition.

The matter was adjourned till 22nd October, 2018 for trial.

When P.M.EXPRESS contacted Mrs. Nancy, she confirmed that Okechukwu actually bought the dog and gave it her name in order to humiliate her. It was gathered that when Okechukwu was remanded in prison custody, the dog eventually died and Mrs. Nancy said that she had no hand in the death of the dog.

Two women arrested with a set of stolen twin babies have confessed that they actually came to Lagos to buy kids and supply to their clients.

It was American author, Dan Pearce, who said, “People love to say, ‘I love that person even though…’ But let’s be honest. Genuine love is never followed with the words ‘even though”. The word ‘even though’ depicts the existence of reservation even as we try everything possible to mask it.

In the face of political and socio-economic differences in multi ethnic and religious entities like Nigeria, only a pretender will submit that we truly love ourselves without reservations. Some schools of thought suggest that we do lack genuine love and have merely been tolerating ourselves.

All over the world, it has been different stories of humanitarian crises. And according to the UN Refugee Agency, UNHCR, about 68.5 million children, women and men are currently displaced by spiraling crises around the world. The Agency equally posited that every 2 seconds someone was uprooted and forced to flee due to violence, conflict or persecution around the world.

In recent times, Africa with our country Nigeria has been plagued by all manner of humanitarian crises. Now entering its ninth year, the crisis in North-East Nigeria has created vulnerabilities and humanitarian concerns, since the first Boko Haram insurgency in 2009. While scaled-up and fast response by aid groups and the Government helped avert the threat of famine in 2017, food insecurity and malnutrition remain high owing to the depredation of the conflict. An estimated 7.7 million people are in acute need of protection and assistance. The conflict in the Lake Chad Basin has displaced around 2.2 million people; 1.6 million in Nigeria’s NorthEast alone. Hundreds of thousands of Nigerians have fled to neighbouring Chad, Cameroon and Niger. Sexual violence, including rape, is a defining characteristic of the ongoing conflict, with 6 out of 10 women in the northeast having experienced one or more forms of gender-based violence (GBV).

It is believed that if we tried to provide some forms of care no matter how infinitesimal, that the effects of these crises on Africans would have been very minimal. The question is: Do we genuinely love our fellow Africans especially children, women and men affected by these crises? Or are we now immune to their feelings and welfare because of the frequency of outbreak of crisis? Crisis can erupt in the East, West, North or South, just anywhere in the world regardless of race, tribe or tongue.

The international humanitarian system has made significant progress towards greater coherence in response coordination, learning from past responses to large-scale disasters.

But Prophet T.B. Joshua believes that genuine love is the only tonic needed to achieve greater change in Nigeria and around the world.

The General Overseer of the Synagogue Church of All Nations said that genuine love certainly does not discriminate against background, class or ethnicity. And if just as low as 30% of Nigerians show genuine love and concern, that unimaginable change can and will be experienced not only in solving humanitarian crises but in other areas of our national life.

In the words of Prophet T.B. Joshua, “Looking the other way when your brother is in need is equal to rejecting God Himself”. He said that when we see our contribution to others no matter how infinitesimal as an assignment from God, that is when our contribution can solve problems. Some weeks ago in one of his sermons, he explained that nobody prays for earthquakes, typhoons, fire outbreaks, insurgency or flooding and they can come without warning causing irreplaceable loss of lives, extreme damage to infrastructure and displacement of communities. He posited that the effects of the aforementioned can be cushioned by our showing genuine love to those affected by providing essential relief in the areas needed most, including healthcare, shelter and foodstuff.

In line with his summation on the extension of genuine love, Prophet T.B. Joshua and the Emmanuel TV team of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, have at different times in various locations across the globe provided succour to people who were affected by natural disasters, flooding, fire outbreaks and most recently victims of insurgency.

Seeing the plight of these innocent victims, T.B. Joshua and the Emmanuel TV team did not look the other way. They have at different times demonstrated genuine love in their visits to the affected areas; they have donated food items, clothes, and drugs and equally provided money for clinics to address the rampant sicknesses in the camps which were major concerns.
