Nice write-up but I don't see anything in this article highlighting ASUU's shortcomings. What has ASUU done to ensure that money given to them by FG is effectively utilized? I've seen lecturers use money donated to their to departments to buy themselves cars. Secondly, can our universities achieve world class standards with this their complete dependence on the government for funding? How many of the world's top universities are heavily dependent on their respective governments? I'm just saying ASUU should also internally. |
