For a fact, you need not bother about complicating issues for him if indeed he said there's no problem. Mothers from this parts usually advise their sons against marrying white ladies because of percieved troubles, i have two brothers in the U.S who are married to white ladies against mum's wish at first, but after seeing those ladies shower love on her sons, she has no choice than to accept them. If you guys really want each other, the sky will be your starting point. Goodluck. |

Hmmmm.... Well all i can say is that i think i understand why u feel like that, coming from a different culture to another one needs a lot of understanding. Issues like this really makes me wonder. I feel your pain cos i've seen a real life version of your story. I'll advise you stand your ground cos you hold the ace, your dad(sorry to say) is a disgrace because he started all these in the first instance by having more kids than he can cater for, don't let them use u as a sacrificial lamb at the temple of their own happiness because, when the chips are down, you'll have no one to turn to. Life is personal and they'll all deny forcing you into getting married if there is any fallout from the forced marriage. |
