Lord a lot has been going on here, i have been coming to see and read once in a while,but could not even spear a ,minute to write i feel horrible . It has been crazy this past 4 weeks for me, went to Emergency 3 times twice with my son and once with my Hubby. They where both sick. My son's temperature was so high it was 103.7 which can lead to seizures. All because of a cold that brought ear infections that brought cough . But i give God the glory everything is back to Normal.
Gen B i see you are holding down the house ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. This time difference makes me crazy sometimes . I don't want this thread to just disappear so thank you for everyone contributing and encouraging one another.
My ladies who have had babies how are they all doing i hope great all the people waiting on the miracles i know there is nothing that God can not do please stay strong and stay blessed.
I have to read through all i have missed so i can catch up.

Yesterday I had to take my son to the emergency at 3am temperature was over 101 coughing only to find out he has a fever ,ear infection and the worst pink eye AKA APOLLO!!! As I said I just started work so he is in daycare I am sure that is where he got the pink eye from i feel like the worst mother on earth like I wanted this child so much now I have him I have let him get sick. I know have no control over what happens to him and sometimes it is good for there immune systems to fight germs this early but I am torn, I am thinking I should quit and just stay home with him.
But staying home does not pay bills, I have been lucky that my husband has taken care of all the bills etc but I want to be productive as well. God just give me strength,

I can see it is really crawling in here, I know nobody wants to keep updating saying the same thing always but please come in so we know you are ok.
I have started work and it is crazy with me and the baby in the Mornings trying to get to the daycare and get to work on time , so I might not be coming on here often until i adjust so please please contribute and let us help each other out. I have done exclusive Bfeeding now I have to stop that and start pumping and give him in a bottle and he just squeezes his face like I am giving him Agbo to drink.

@ Shiloh I know you are worried because you did the surgery but don't worry just leave it in God's hands you have done your part , leave the rest to God.
If you start thinking this way this early you will just give your self stress and no one is really looking at your tummy in my opinion all this is your own anxiety that makes you think they are looking at you

Looking for a new job at the same time not looking i am scared leaving my baby at a day care and the cost of day care here can build self contain ohh start from $300 uppppppppppppppp. I have heard of home day cares that start from $200 anyway God will lead me on what to do.
Baby is doing fine i thank God.

Ifyemma, do not be confused thank God one is opened my cousin had a baby with one tube with out any medical intervention (ivf,iui)so it is very very possible just give your results to the doctor and hear what he says. it is well.

@Great C how are you doing today?I am sorry about what you said the doctor told you. But is this your first consultation?Did you do any dye test for him/her to confirm your tubes are blocked? Most times if the tubes are blocked the only two options is a miracle from God which can happen and IVF.
my advice is before you spend almost half  a million naira on any doctor check his/her credentials and statistics, make sure it is a well known doctor In this Field and knows what he is doing and in his practice women who have undergone IVF have babies there to show for it.
Do not give up please, i know it is not any consolation but if you have read from page one you will see others 3 years ,4years 2 months me 5 years before i had this baby i have now so . Just keep on trying and praying and researching and your baby will come in Jesus name.


Just an observation oh but the way people are coming on to the tread talking about blocked tubes is it that these crazy doctors are just looking for cash these days that they do not even research very well to know what exactly is wrong? sometimes i wish i could convince my Doctor to do a workshop in Nigeria even for one month, But again even here you still have shady doctors God help us all.

Its been ages i came online, just battling with 1st trimester blues, Our God has done it, I wasnt expecting it, After trying for long, I handed everything to God this year. Made my new year plans not including a baby, Got very busy on a number of projects to accomplish this year, Not much focus on the ttc, God decided to hammer me, I mean really hammerrrrrrr meeeeee with his fabulous blessing. Am pregnant, I say it with tears of joy and thanksgiving, I want to encourage my friends here who are ttc, hope in Him that is soooo faithful. He does things when he wants to, when it pleases him, Am so humbled by His goodness and mercy unto me,

@ifyemma Sorry about your loss may it never occur again in Jesus name. I would say take some Panadol 30 minutes before the HSG. try not to think about it a lot .
for some people it hurts a lot for some others it is just like a very painful menstrual cramp. They just put like a small thin straw like thing into your cervix and inject dye through it to make sure your tubes are opened it is when they inject the dye that you feel the discomfort. It will be ok just try not to tense up.

I am so sorry that you where delivered such news, I don't want to sound like a doctor and keep on probing but was this the first doctor you went too? I always like second opinions just to make sure you covered your own bases.
I tried reading on this type of blockage and it was very wide, what i can gather is that it is a major blockage of the tubes.and sometimes some women are told they have this blockage because during the HSG which is painful the uterus can have spasms and it makes the tubes blocked and when it is reapted the next time they are open and clear.(why did they perform the test, was it a fertility doctor or your normal doctor ?)
As for options the only thing i can think of is IVF. if you can give more details if you don't mind i am sure someone on here can give you some advice.Good luck and God bless you.

@ GB i no dey visit pastors oh I am known to always run from prophecys as i always find them worrying. Anyway as long as it is not a pastor that gave me my child I will just hold unto God's word.

How is everyone doing i hope good.
I am down today , I know that there are principalities and powers, but i am one who tries not to finger them out in every situation i find my self, i just leave it all to God and pay them no mind.
But 2 times in 2 weeks now 2 diffrent pastors(i don't mean hog wash ones oh they do not ask for money or say donate sow seed etc they just pray with us when ever we need extra prayers etc) have said to pray against the sudden death of my son. They do not know each other so i can not say it is planned .

I am so scared after all i have been through, for me now to lose my child will not be an option . My state of mind if it happens i can kill my self . i am a very strong person but i can not imagine taking such a blow now that i am happy after so long.
My GOD DO NOT FORSAKE ME DO NOT LET MY ENEMIES ASK WHERE IS HER GOD FIGHT MY BATTLE FOR ME.
i am bearing out my soul about how i feel so please put me in your prayers pray to God for me and my child, this is all i ask thank you.

D BD issue na serious thing well baby making too na serious issue sha. We used to target from 14 days up to the 20th day. But there was a time my wife went for test on the 11th day and the Dr. got angry with her that she should be BDing, since then we have been commencing on the 10th day but may we will start from the 9th day now but I almost stop after 22nd day. We also try to BD early morning everyday but I discovered say ‘e no easy’ especially with quantity and quality of emission, so I tend to take a day off in-between. Any idea about the wrong thing with this?

It was providence hospital that we went to that they said they wanted 12k deposit .

My advice is come with lots of cash because things change everyday! A hospital I was told took 5 to 7 thousand on getting there with the patient who was to have her baby we where told it was 12k just for a deposit.

And especially Nigerians they want your passport details because we are known for running away after child birth. we went to about 4 to 5 hospitals and the cheapest in Maryland was going to cost about 10 to 12 grand.
Please note she must bring along her hospital records and must be in the country before she hit the 32ND week in pregnancy because after then it becomes harder to get a doctor who will see her.
There is a doctor in Holycross hospital in Maryland called Dr Mayan i think he is the only one i know who takes women even at 36 weeks as long as you pay 3,500 just for all the tests alone to be sure the patient is in good health, then you pay him 3,500 for delivery, then you pay the hospital there own fees which is like another 4 to 6 k so still looking at 12k.

Getting the passport is easy after the baby is born the hospital send in the papers so you get THE baby's SS number then you apply for his/her Birth certificate ,then passport you can expedite. The Nigerian passport maybe the difficult one because it could take up to 3 weeks. Make sure you pay every penny because i know of a woman who did Naija style escaped many years ago and today she can not enter into the USA and she is paying about 300 dollars a month now to cover the expenses she incurred years ago for 2 children that where born here a long time ago.

Try shoprite, at Lekki .Then try lagos market Akpongbon(spelling) you will find anything imported there this is hoping you are in Lagos.

I will just advice you to take some rest , when next are you going to see your doctor just to be sure all is well since you are spotting again?
I spotted during my pregnancy but my baby came out ok.
I had soreness and was very weak and i could not eat . I would advice you take folic acid and drink lots of water and as your doctor said please rest a lot.
Just curious why will he say threatened abortion when he said the pregnancy was viable?

The cooks/owners of these places will have an open pot of food on fire and will be talking, thereby spitting inside it. They pick their nose, sneeze and blow their nose by the side, supposedly away from the food pot, but they'll not think/know to wash their hands before continuing to cook.
