So advanced countries and other developing ones who regularly feed kids in schools and have been doing it for ages should be equally embarrassed
My point is what is the quality of education that is being dished put with the free food.

Firstly in Nigeria it is a scam cos the budget isn't properly accounted for.

2nd that show up there was all for the cameras. I supplied a link to a non biased view of the real free food which is wack.

3rd the government has to improve the quality of life for Nigerians making them able to feed their kids themselves and not use free food as a guide to lure children to school.

Some will benefit fro the education no doubt but in the long run it's still a waste of time cos they are going to school to eat and not learn .

4th the developed country dishing out free meals isn't using that to entice kids to school. They already know the value of education so the free food is a plus unlike here where the value of the free food is the main thing and the education " may" be a plus.

Anyway what's my own

Dear shitholian from a shithole, we know your type, if the FG decides to grant the free education, you'll still complain and call it waste of money.
Come to public primary schools tomorrow in Anambra and see the kids enjoying their meals while you continue burning yourself in self hate.
I can never call free education waste of money cos those who really want to go to school will benefit immensely. Not this feeding program that is actually a fraud and embezzlement scheme with phony pictures to deceive us.

https://www.nairaland.com/4187829/school-feeding-program-niger-state.

Same feeding program in 2017.

The fact that you dont see that using food to lure children to school is a national embarrassment and failure of the Nigerian society at large is sickening.

Cos I said free quality education is better than free food? The fact that many dont see how phony this is and the reason it is being peddled as an achievement tells alot about why the country is the way it is.

Lol.

The fact that to entice children to school via free food should be worrisome enough yet the government is applauding itself for this feat.

Why will a parent send his child to school to eat? If you dont have value for education why force it. Instead free education should be offered with proper attendance records for exam purposes and Bleep the food.

If this is what je govt of the day can boast of then sorry to say I offer them an F+. Imagine at a time when we should be pushing kids to run before walking they are talking about free food.

His shot is a scam cos I haven't seen any school around me having an access to this but of course the king in the north will ensure the north gets free food.

So I got this job of an Electrician in a furniture company at Bode-Thomas. Though the pay was meager but I decided to boost my knowledge since !y role goes in line with !y qualification.

I got paid on my first month of joining them, but subsequent months no pay, I would walk from Ijesha to office to and fro on daily basis.

The CEO would get supply of millions of naira, the next thing is to fly abroad with his wife to enjoy. His workers that brings the money are left to suffer, he doesn't care.

I decided to resign but the MD pleaded that he would speak with chairman, and he actually got him convinced and he increased my salary with more responsibility; that I would now supervise cleaners. One of the cleaners told me that he was also employed as furniture technician until he was asker to supervise cleaners now a full time cleaner.

Na so I resign fully; the small salary you can't pay how am I sure you will pay the new pay.

I got a teaching job in IKD, I worked for barely three months and a govt job offer came my way.
Wait the guy who had a technicians job was asked to supervise cleaners following which he became a cleaner.... and the company put you on the same pathway to cleaner hood...

Men people are evil and shocking but this is freaking hilarious. One of the best so far.

The Ballad of Buster Scruggs

Can't recommend this enough. 6 fantastic shorts in one movie, with hilariously contradicting themes in each. The shorts will make you laugh, make you muse, make you sad, and repeat. The Coen bros outdid themselves this time.

9.5/10
I've commented on this gem in the past. The stories are short and filling. Very lovely.

I agree with the rating

American history x is playing out in Nigeria ably stoked by political actors bent in fueling tribal hatred

In homage to Before The Devil Knows You're Dead starring Philip Seymour Hoffman of blessed memory, and Ethan Hawke, here are some other_fucked-up films that are bound to_fuck you up mentally.

- The Deer Hunter: gets crueler and harder to watch
- American History X: forget about the devil, humans are the real monsters.
- What's Eating Gilbert Grape: Shed a tear ngl. Teenage DiCaprio performance was prophetic - even then, you could see that he has a bright future in Hollywood. Young Depp also impressed in what has got to be his most normal role to date.
- We Need to Talk About Kevin: Tilda Swinton finally convinced me she's a top actress with this highly disturbing movie.
- Hotel Rwanda: Mankind's capacity for evil is limitless.
- Dear Zachary: Technically a documentary. What made it more depressing than all the others in the list is the fact that it actually happened. It saddened and enraged me like no other.
- Se7en: Didn't shake me as an adult, but as a teen, it gave me nightmares for a few days. Parents in the house, don't let your kids watch movies like this for their own good.
- The Boy in The Striped Pajamas: Damn! Fuck_Nazi Germany.
- Schindlers’s list: Knowing that it actually happened and not just a screenplay is a tad humbling. Fuck_Nazi Germany
- The Mist: What a bitch_of an ending. Way better than the book.
- Oldboy: the korean version
- The Green Mile: So_fucked-up, so unfair.
- Machester by the Sea: Deserved every Oscars it won. So compelling and so heartbreaking. Phenomenal.
- Event Horizon: Fuck_that movie.
- Hereditary: What every psychological horror should be like.
- Trainspotting: equal parts disturbing and depressing
- Seven Psychopath: Dark humorous, and self aware.
- Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri: Ditto, but lineared, and compelling.
Quoting this to tap from later the ones I haven't seen.

P.s I agree Bleep nazi Germany.

bLacKGoLd3:
Normally, I wouldn't respond to a thread of this kind, but the responses, which I'm sure is from devout christians, devout muslims, ethical atheists/agnostics and godless moralists, is quite sad.

First off, you get into a relationship with zero plans for marriage. Not trying to be a moral judge here, but I would have respected your choice more if your girlfriend was aware too. She clearly has feelings for you and most likely looking towards the future with expectations, hence her getting the mum to help out with this job. Sadly, you have no feelings for her and most likely only need her to keep your bed warm.

Now, the mother has pulled strings and probably played an ace reserved for family only, not knowing it's all a sham!

Let's even forget about the job for a second. Have you ever thought about how your girlfriend would manage a breakup? What about the mum/family who may be also be scathed from the breakup? How is this case any different from 'wicked Nigerians' who deceptively get married to ladies for green card? How are you any different than Yahoo boys? Don't you all serve the same gods - mammon and your belly!

Sadly, lots of Nigerians on NL are cheering you on. Tomorrow, same idiots will cuss at Politicians and brand them as thieves, but isn't it the same game of deception? Play along or deceive the people until you get what you want. After you win the elections and have your pockets full of cash, you can always assuage their bleeding hearts with bags of rice or cows.

The game is the game, right?
As I'll always say, a wicked people deserve wicked leaders and a land filled with wickedness, which is why Nigeria is the way it is today.

Young man, a good name is better than a sack of gold. Search your conscience and do the right thing.
First sensible post on here.

At bolded if you all cannot see that the job is tied to her daughter's future then many of you really are children writing waec and jamb. Cos an undergraduate will see it clearly as his mind is matured enough to understand the game.

The op himself is aware that the job is tied to marriage so he can look after the girl he doesn't want to marry. Very funny.

I am going to be blunt here, if you know you won't marry that girl better dont take the job, I see some people advising you to take the job to boost your cv and run. Those are clowns and have no idea how the corporate society works particularly if the field is specialised.

If you wont marry the girl better dump her now or at least let her k ow what's up. Women ( a girl and her mother ) dont do this just cos the dick is good. It's for the future.

If you try to chop and clean mouth here, you will remember hell has got nothing on the fury of a scorned woman. The love that was used to get the job will turn to hate that will be focused on retarding your progress.
