I agree with you, that's why i strongly believe that Nigeria will soon have no choice but to disintegrate. This DisUnited Kingdom called Nigeria is a temporal arrangement. The North will soon bail on us.
Once there is no more oil and gas in southern Nigeria, then the country will disintegrate.

PoliticsRe: Ibb Recommends Marshal Plan For N/delta by Arnold1(m): 2:46am On Aug 17, 2008
You do have a point @netotse.

The point I was trying to make was that the Marshall Plan wouldn't resolve the ND issue either. Remember,

the NDDC currently in place doesn't receive all its yearly budgeted allocations, so how can we be sure a

federal marshall plan would fare better ?

As far as the corruption among the ND governors, I blame the ND state house of assemblies, fair and
square. They have the power to impeach the governors for corruption, but how can they when
they are settled with money left and right ?

Most of the house members in the ND states are multimillionaires because the executive bribes them to
death.

I tire for this our country
PoliticsRe: Ibb Recommends Marshal Plan For N/delta by Arnold1(m): 2:33am On Aug 17, 2008
Has the federal govt fully funded the NDDC currently in place undecided

The ND people don't want a federally administered Marshall plan, they want to control their resources.

This is just a gimmick by IBB to retain the status quo.

The ND people are too smart to fall for IBB and his antics

I have said Yar'Adua is pursuing a Northern agenda. They are looking for oil in the north, What happened

to Tinapa ? A minister toured the place and promised the president is given the project top priority.

That was months ago, we haven't heard anything since undecided

There are many igbos on this forum like Ugwumba and Mamaput that are well older than you, infact,
Mamaput has narrated stories of her experience during the biafran war.

These people, despite their age, do not spew hatred toward the yoruba race as you do, because they
are not hateful people.

Queenisha, you need to do something about your hatred for yoruba people because it'll have dire effects
on you in the long run (including the afterlife)

Chei, you and this your hatred for yoruba people. When are you going to let this tribal marks issue rest ?

You have commented on this and created a thread on this, yet, you keep bringing it up again and again

The next thing you know, you'll say you have nothing against yoruba people.

The biafra war was very painful and yorubas might have done you wrong, but you have to learn
how to forgive.

As a christian woman that you claim to be, you should know that God only forgives those who forgive others

Quit using Nairaland as a stool for preaching hatred to yorubas in the guise of bringing up a discussion.

Virgin Nigeria Commences Domestic Flight from MMA2

http://www.channelstv.com/newsdetails.php?news_id=5345

Virgin Nigeria has finally commenced its domestic operations from the Murtala Muhammed Airport two.

A visit to the terminal this morning revealed that while two flights for Abuja and Benin had taken off earlier in the day, other passengers were seen making enquiries at the airline’s check-in-counter.

It will be recalled that the Federal Government shut down the airlines domestic operations from the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, on Tuesday following Virgin Nigeria’s refusal to obey an earlier relocation order.

Great contributions people. Though I did not create this thread, I appreciate the feedback.

I guess the main problem is the number of jobs for potential applicants, especially those
without experience and connections, that needs to be addressed.

But I am really pleased to hear this positive feedback cool

@ Mr gado gado, the middle belt may be North geographically ,but culturally, economically and religious wise and we are different from the Hausa /fulani,just as N/delta claim they are different from the Biafrans.I say this as someone from Middle Belt Belt.
I am glad a middle belt man has finally stated they are distinct from the North.

God Bless you my brother

It is the middle belt that is the food basket of Nigeria, not the North.
PoliticsRe: Arrant Nonsense From Virgin. by Arnold1(m): 8:34pm On Aug 13, 2008
The contract Branson (Virgin Nigeria) has with Nigeria states that MMIA is going to be their hub. The
contract does not state that both domestic and international flights shall originate from the international
terminal of MMIA.

The contract says MMIA (which now has a local & international terminal) but didn't state specifically
that all Virgin Nigeria flights (both foreign and domestic) shall originate from the international terminal.

So, as long as the federal govt asks Virgin Nigeria to move anywhere within the MMIA premises, it still falls
within the confines of the contract.

Richard Branson should respect our laws and quit being a hard a$$.
