dederocs: It is a coastal state, google bight of Benin, the Benin Kingdom used this stretch of water to connect to other southern states from Benin, even down to Dahomey trading. Genz a little history could have helped you folks, the sad thing is that you people state fallacy with such conviction, confusing the unlearned kids out there . Google bight of Benin. https://www.britannica.com/place/Bight-of-Benin We are not talking about the ancient Benin Kingdom. The map below shows Edo State as of today - 2025. It is not along the coast.

fiercehillz: I don't think they are extending the coaster highway to Edo State. I feel they want to contruct a linkage road from Edo State State to the coaster highway.
Edo is not a coaster state. You are 100% correct. They are just building a road to link with the coastal highway so that Edo State indigenes can access it (since it is close by) This is what many people here are failing to understand. |

ALTERNATEID: You guys are entitled to your opinion but be rest assured that Tinubu will win Zamfara, Katsina, Jigawa, Sokoto, Kaduna, Bornu, Yobe, Gombe, Niger, Kogi, Kwara and Nasarawa all in the north.
While we are all guilty of tribalism and ethnic sentiments, northerners are also reasonable people who understand the challenges of our diversity. They voted for MKO over Tofa in 1993 and voted significantly for Obasanjo over Buhari in 2003.
When they wanted power in 2015 (and rightly so), the south west rose beyond ethnic sentiments to ensure power is returned to the north. In 2023, the north will rise beyond the sentiments Peter Obi supporters are projecting and Tinubu will win all the northern states I mentioned above. Wow; You honestly believe Tinubu can win all those states in the north? |
Politics › Re: Lagos Park Managers Rally For Tinubu/Shettima (More Photos & Video) by Arnold1(m): 10:36am On Oct 10, 2022 |
Throwback: Can he revamp a complex economy? Tinubu grew Lagos economy.
His he democratic? Tinubu always conducted Local Government elections.
Does he have the courage to restructure? Tinubu employed his powers as State Governor to begin the creation of 37 additional Local Government Areas in Lagos.
Is he brilliant enough to pioneer initiatives that will provide solutions? Does he have the foresight to anticipate challenges and checkmate them?
Tinubu created LASTMA, LAWMA, BRT, Office of the Public Defender, employed Oracle ERP to digitalize data of Lagos Civil Service, revamped the Tax system of Lagos, created the Enron electric power IPP, Eko Atlantic to fight coastal erosion of the bar-beach, Lekki Free Trade Zone to rejuvenate the economy of Lagos for the future.
Does Obi have the capacity for such? When it comes to performance as governor, Tinubu beats Obi hands down. |

God bless you cocolacac. Excellent thread! cocolacec: The Development of the Port of Lagos, c. 1892–1946
By 1880, Lagos had earned the appellation of ‘the Liverpool of West Africa’, a reference to its pre-eminence in the maritime economy of the region.1 It was also a clear allusion to its role in cementing the trade and products of the hinterland to the industry of Britain, the mother country.
By 1950 it was Nigeria's chief port, handling 70% of imports and over 50% of exports. |
