LagosShia:It's man that changes not God, Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! |
;DLagosShia, you are very funny. No christian follow the ways of the old testament. |
From Wikipedia Ogoni people are one of the many indigenous peoples in the region of southeast Nigeria. They share common oil related environmental problem with the Ijaw people of Niger Delta, but Ogonis are not listed in the list of people historically belonging to Niger Delta. They number about one point five million people and live in a 404-square-mile (1,050 km2) homeland which they also refer to as Ogoni, or Ogoniland |
There is tons of genocide and intolerance in the Old Testament too: But Christians today don't follow many of those intolerant practices. Anyway, key point is that everyone has dirty linen in their closet. Let's not condemn the religion because of some offensive snippets in their holy book. Muslims should ignore these snippets and learn to live peacefully with others. And truth be told, there are plenty of examples of tolerant Muslims. It is only in Northern Nigeria and a few other places where they are so intolerant.
The truth is that Muslims are better off living in peace with Christians. Because God forbid there is religious world war. that will be the end of all Muslims. not even their Allah would be able to save them. ![]() |

I recommend the reorientation of these our violent brothers. They should be sent to mandatory classes in which they will be taught Nigerian values, which include taking pride in being a Nigerian citizen. This entails acknowledging the fact that there are a multitude of ethnicities in our country, and mutual respect for individuals of all ethnicities and religious beliefs. Civil responsibilities should be highlighted: regard for human lives, property and businesses. Furthermore, the benefits of a unified country should be explained, which every citizen stands to gain from. The Imams need to cooperate and take responsibility for reinforcing these values, rather than encouraging hate. If they do not regard these values, they shall be imprisoned. The Federal Government needs to go further. They need to take responsibility for teaching them trades, farming and making technical apprenticeships available. Ultimately, the government needs to provide opportunities for our brothers to become useful to society, for their own and everyone else’s good. |
The army/police will drastically reduse. ![]() |

Quote from: Ileke-IdI What does it say?How do you provide strict security to the corpers, is it by having armed police/soldier guarding them at all times? |
efisher Corpers no longer benefit much from NYSC. A lot of them end up wasting away for a year. Others even lose their lives. It is the nation that stands to gain from them. The North even benefits more from the scheme. If their safety cannot be guaranteed, they should be withdrawn. When such states begin to feel the negative impact of not having corpers sent to them, nobody will beg them to put their houses in order. For now, all states that cannot safeguard corpers should be denied corpers. Like it or not, the murder of a corper serving the nation should not be treated the same way any other murder should be treated. That may be hard to swallow but that is how it should be. I can liken it to the way press men are treated during wars. There are rules of engagement and deliberate killing of press men is not allowed during wars. Such cases are not treated with levity.Well said, bravo. |
Orikinla:Orikinla you talk like a soldier, but you forget that they are not afraid to die. infact they want to die. ![]() |
that was four years ago, and they have done it again. why am I |
ayomifull:The truth of the mater is that a Nigerian is safer in Afghanistan or a country full with hating skinheads than in Nigeria. ![]() |
I join sign. |
We Nigerians should always be critical in our ways of reasoning. This Almajiri problem is akin to that of the Niger Delta. The federal government has to intervene for a lasting solution. I reapet for those hard of hearing: The almajiri problem is not just a Hausa and Fulani problem anymore It is now a Naija problem. that is why we southerner are going to be up in your business. we want change, or else. . . |
Tppv, don't mind Ystranger, I don't know what he is. We are with you on this. May their souls rest in peace. Amen. |
