Are there any gated estates in owerri similar to Udenwa estate where one can buy land and develop?

I think we only have this type of gated estates in Enugu and Anambra.

Location is Owerri and 1.5 million is only labour fee.

I have been quoted 1.5 million naira labour cost only to plaster 4 bedroom flats of 6 units. The quote includes plastering parapet and bottom deck.

I was also quoted 1,500 each for window dressing and 2,500 naira each for door dressing.

Is the quote reasonable?

The Fire Trucks have already been fully paid for and waiting delivery by early next year

The manufacture is building the 3 Fire trucks from scratch not off the shelf

And the avio bridges too

Thanks bros, since they knew that the truck won't be ready, why will the govt tells us that it will be ready by the end of October. Not that I am a pessimist but we are know how projects are abandoned in Nigeria.

It gladdens my heart that Anambra airport will be opened this weekend. My only concern is that, the remaining work such as the avio bridges won't be abandoned?

What about the new cat 9 fire trucks that was meant to arrive in October, still haven't arrived.

Ethiopian Airline Announces Commencement of Flight to Enugu Airport.

The Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu is set to ready to start operation as Ethiopian Airline has announced their readiness to commence flight operations.

On August 24th, 2019, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) shutdown the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu for major repairs. The authority said the action was aimed at resolving the safety and security concerns to flight operations.

After 371 days of shutting down the airport, on August 30th, 2020, the airport was opened for operation by the Minister of Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika after he confirmed the airport fit to commence operations.

After over one year the airport became functional, the international wing is yet to commence operations.

However, Ethiopian Airline in a communication obtained by Journalist101 revealed that the airline will commence operations on September 15th, 2021.

“Ethiopian Airline is pleased to announce that it will commence thrice weekly services (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) to Akanu Ibiam International Airport Enugu, Nigeria starting September 15, 2021,” the notice reads.

The Akanu Ibiam Internation Airport, Enugu is scheduled to reopen for international flights beginning from August 2021

Njenje Media in a report quoted the chairman of South-East Governors Committee on AKanu Ibiam Airport Rehabilitation and Palliatives Monitoring Team, Chief Engineer Okoye as confirming that all is set for Airlines to resume International operations.

Recall that the Akanu Ibiam International Airport has been shutdown for International travels for two years. Though, the Airport resumed local flights in August 2020.


There are also strong indications that more Airlines will join in operating the Enugu route before the end of the year. As of today, Ethiopian Airlines remain the only international Airline that flew into Enugu before its closure for runway repairs in 2019.

With this news, international travellers are gearing up to resume their trip through their preferred airport.

It is being awaited that the relevant authorities will soon make an official public announcement and issue NOTAM as to the exact date in August for the resumption of the flight, Njenje Media added in the report

Wow, I am impressed. Once the airport is completed with the installation of ILS, we will be receiving international flight 24/7. This is what FG couldn't do at Enugu airport because they hated us.

yes my dear thy have started the installation of the DVOR. After that comes the ILS, then the airfield lighting. Remember that all this instruments have all been fully paid for. And most of them have arrived at the airport waiting for installation.

Without night landing lights/ILS and airfield lighting, international cargo flights won't be able to land at night. So we really need this to be installed for it to be considered fully an International Airport.

BREAKING: International Flights Resumes At Port Harcourt Airport, Akanu Ibiam Airport Later


The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA has announced the immediate resumption of international flights at the Port Harcourt International Airport Rivers State, Njenje Media News reports.

In a memo from the Director General of the NCAA, Captain Musa Nuhu, “the directive became imperative following clearance directives from the Presidential Steering Committee (PSC) on COVID-19”.

International flights will resume at the Port Harcourt International Airport with immediate effect while that of Akanu Ibiam International Airport will be announced in due course.

Njenje Media recalls, that Enugu International Airport was initially scheduled for reopening on the 3rd of May, Kano on the 5th of April, and Port Harcourt on the 15th of April, 2021 for international. Amongst the three airports, only Kano State reopened as scheduled, PortHarcourt was delayed by three weeks without concrete excuse, while Enugu Airport is expected to reopen mid May, 2021.

Ethiopian Airlines to restart flight operations to Enugu, Kano airports soon

Recently, Ethiopian Airlines operated a special flight to Malam Aminu Kano International Airport as part of the gradual process of reopening the Airport.

Ethiopian Airlines is the only international airline that operates to Akanu Ibiam International Airport Enugu since it was gazetted as an International Airport.

It is also one of the airlines that operate into MAKIA in Kano. Ethiopian has been operating in Nigeria since 1960 and has stayed with Nigeria during good and difficult times.

When the Abuja Airport was closed for repairs ET was the only international airline that flew to the alternative airport in Kaduna.

I have been tracking the Maersk container "Wide Bravo" from China to Clarion terminal Onitsha river port.
The ship will dock at Onne port on 7th of October.

First ship to arrive onne on the 9th of October and Onitsha clarion terminal 7 days later.
Not sure if the containers will be transported with barges from Onne to Onitsha.
As per the route on maersk site, it looks like the container will be transported via road to onitsha clarion terminal

Thanks spyder880. Someoneone quoted me 1.8 million naira just for the wood work, installation of the roofing sheets and gutter for the attached building photo.
The quote doesn't include the carpentery work for the parapet.

I am after the Labour cost\estimate on average(excluding the roofing sheets) for only roofing woodwork for a 3 bedroom, 3 story building(counting from the ground floor). This Labour cost should be inclusive of placing\installing the roofing sheets on the roofing woodwork.

P.S. I will be using stone coated roofing sheet.
