Omarbah: More than a half century later after the independence movement and more than century after serious contact with European civilization, our beloved continent lags when it comes to technological progress. Superstitions still remain in force even among the African elite. Passion rather than reason is still the norm. Cultural alienation is on the rise. Most Africans living in cities cannot speak their native language without borrowing words from the English or French language.Great post! There is so much wrong with Africa, it is just impossible to summarise. We will continue to be useless well into the future if we do not change back to how we were centuries/millennia ago. I feel that we were on track but we changed. We let greed, hate and jealousy get the better of us. We let foreigners get the better of us. We scapegoated each other and let ourselves believe that the demise of our people is okay as long as it doesn't affect us directly. All of those great civilisations you mentioned had unity, trust and order in common. If you think the current African states with their puppet leaders will accomplish anything then I suggest you rethink that. These so-called leaders do not work for the betterment of their people, they're the cancerous cell among us. They all cut dirty deals with foreigners before coming to power. It takes a real man to stand up to those fvckers and even then you will be betrayed by your closest friend. Take a look at what happened to Thomas Sankara as an example of how corrupt and greedy we can be just to get on the good side of a past colonial master. Blaise Compaoré cut dirty deals with France and undid everything Sankara fought for. If you truly believe that being underneath another person gets you anywhere then you will remain there, until you realise that you are better than that and maybe you should be the one on top. Africans will remain underneath other people until they believe that they can create, achieve and do more than the Europeans/Arabs/Asians. The sad truth is that Africans either not ready for change or they don't want to change, they'd rather read the local newspaper and have their corrupt government officials tell them that things are going well despite people dying of hunger in front of them on a daily basis. |

CAMNEWTON4PRES: Hey frero try to understand three conceptsI understand what you're saying very well but this is what you don't understand, we were no where near Kenya or south Somalia until very recently and that's why your stupendous claim that your people civilised us is utter BS. It seems like you don't know the difference between Khoisan people and cushites. Khoisan people were absorbed and displaced by the Bantu expansion. |
CAMNEWTON4PRES: womanShe's good huh Your friend shouldn't accuse people of distorting facts when he's doing exactly that. |
Fulaman198: I dream about Fulani unity. There already is a Fulani country kind of with Guinea. They have about a 45% Fulani population. I would like to unite the entire west African region. That's very ambitious. Has there ever been an initiative that wanted to unite all Fulanis in W/Africa under one flag? Unlike you I couldn't give a toss about east Africa, our neighbours have been undermining us for too long and we only have one ally there. The others breathe because of the Somali blood being spilt. |
Do you ever dream of a Fulani country where you guys are the dominant ethnicity? A bit like how the ultimate Somali dream is to unite all Somali lands across East Africa. |
GERALD710: Gulay conquered Axum and made it a Vassal state. That does not mean that Somalis moved to the Ethiopian Highlands!!!.For starters No one is even sure Gulay was a Somali and not a Hebasha Muslim. A vassal state does not equal settlement. The Spanish ruled the Netherlands as a vassal state. No Spanish ever settled there. Rome ruled Egypt as a vassal state. They didn't settle there!!Imam Ahmed was in fact Somali, most of his army Generals and soldiers were Somali. He didn't conquer Axum, he conquered the Amharic kingdom of Abyssinia. The Ethiopian highlands consist of many mountain ranges, just 80 years ago Somalis used to live beyond the Bale region which is also part of the Ethiopian highlands. A small strip of land separated the Somalis and Amhara. Menelik and Haile Selassie absorbed many Somali clans, evicted the rest from that region and gave it to the Oromo. Imam Ahmed did not create Adal, he came to power when the Emperor Naod installed a tyrant puppet leader at Adal. Ifat and Adal were both larger and more powerful states than their mother state; the Walashma dynasty. The Somalis did help the Omanis and my proof is in this book: Portuguese rule and Spanish crown in South Africa. Read it before making ignorant comments. |
GERALD710: I happen to be from Mombasa and a Swahili to boot.We have never ever ever been ruled by Somalis!!!Ok you are getting too far ahead of yourself, no one is claiming Arabs here. All I said was that the Omani Sultan received help from the Ajuuraan when they liberated the east African coast and I have proof that supports my claim. It is plain and simple English. As I said the Ajuuraan rule didn't even reach the present day border between Kenya and Somalia. |
GERALD710: First of all,the Ethiopian Highlands have been settled by only 2 Cushitic groups, the Oromo and Sindamo and both arrived in the 16th Century. The Ethiopian highlands was not only settled by Somalis, we conquered two-thirds of it under Imam Ahmed Guray. The Habesha and Somalis were fighting each other even before the Islamic era which proves the proximity of the two groups. Habeshas are only synonymous with the Simien mountains and the land north and west of it. Sidamo people are mixed hence why their region is part of the Southern peoples region today. The Ajuuraan empire started from the coast and not the Ogaden region but they expanded both to the South and West. The Ajuuraan jurisdiction might have ended inside present day Somalia but they reached Mozambique by sea let alone Kenya and Tanzania. The Omani sultan asked the Ajuuraan for help against the Portuguese, in 1660 when a Portuguese held Mombasa surrendered, they faced a joint Omani-Somali force. The following decades, the Omanis and Ajuuraan also liberated Pate and Kilwa. I have no clue on who the Athi, Sanye and Dahalo are but I'll get back to you on that. Edit: A quick search on Google revealed that Dahalo and Sanye come under the Khoisan cluster group. |
CAMNEWTON4PRES: Somalis are not 100millions thats first of voiceThe Axumite rulers were Tigrigna. Despite being the rulers of the land, the Christians didn't have much influence on Somalis who were followers of Waaq back then. The Oromo ethnicity is completely made up and only a few centuries old. For example, the name Oromo wasn't their original name, it was Galla. Historians are still conflicted on what it means. The 1977-78 war was started by Somalia and we had a right to. We actually defeated an Ethiopian army at least three times the size of the Somali National Army but in the end the USSR, Libya, South Yemen and Cuba joined the war. Obviously the SNA were overwhelmed and we lost the war. Some Ethiopian tribes are our natural enemies while some are our allies; Afars and Tigrayans of Eritrea. Keep an eye on the Ethiopian elections coming up, we might regain our lost territory with out even lifting a finger. ![]() |

axum: Wallahi am not on any other forums, only this one.I take that back, you're a dumb mofo and you're trying too hard. |
CAMNEWTON4PRES: so you converted him back lolNo, we stopped talking about religion then after a few years he chose to come back to Islam. |
JiggamanGh: Oh okay, Africans needs to be less religious and stop saying "God will provide" and start providing for themselves.God will provide but God also gave us abled bodies and the capability to provide for our families. |
CAMNEWTON4PRES: peers pressure? No, if anything he would challenge me to a debate all the time when he first converted. One time after we had a heated discussion, I told him to respect my religion and after that we barely spoke about it. He chose to revert back on his own. |
JiggamanGh: There are somali atheist? I thought most somalis were die hard MuslimsI wouldn't say die hard Muslims but we are predominantly Muslim. One of my closest friends was an atheist, he reverted back to Islam after 3 years. |
slament: With the rate of Instragram Madness and the world of selfies..Lmfao *hewwwge* |
KenyanLady: He has a monkey skull head, a typical unmixed African head.https://stream1.gifsoup.com/view/249146/coach-q-effin-unbelievable-o.gif Please show us a picture of you're glorious un-monkey-like skull |
CAMNEWTON4PRES: Somalian atheist? PlentyIt's Somali, not Somalian. Please get it right. I fvcken hate being called Somalian. Somali atheists are so in-your-face like they will change a casual conversation about the weather to a full blown debate about God and religion. |
Fulaman198: Yeah there are plenty of Atheists in general (not saying it's a bad thing). But it's ridiculous how many people are following his way of talking/typing these days. It's despicable. It just goes to show you that human beings copy bad things instead of copying good things. You do realise his whole purpose on NL is to mess with people and to make people angry. He knows that among this religious bunch of Africans, saying "I'm God" is considered a big sin. He'll go to extreme measures just to piss people off. |
CAMNEWTON4PRES: exactly, I prefer the term AfricanLOL @ yellow pride I see where it comes in hand but still African American sounds much better than just black. |
Fulaman198: I agree that he is intelligent and he has displayed some impressive cunning abilities by using divide and conquer tactics here on NL (have you noticed the influx on how many people use the term "Bantu" now because of him? He has succeeded at brainwashing some people on this forum and making them feel inferior that they now copy the way he acts/behaves.I've noticed that lol he's become a troll and a reformer here on NL. As for calling himself God, he could be a Somali atheist, there are plenty of those these days. |
EnlightenedSoul: Lolll he's on Stormfront?Yeah he admitted to that himself. Why do you think he loves being called Hamitic/Caucasian... He's a world class dayuus ![]() |
CAMNEWTON4PRES: TrueIf only Africans understood that, we could once and for all get rid of terms such as 'negroid' and 'the black race'. |
Fulaman198: Her low IQ level is just appalling I feel like I'm arguing with a child. It's even worse than........wait for it..............Axum/AyanleI actually believe Axum is a quite intelligent guy, he acts that way so people won't sus out his real identity that gives him a free pass to talk out of his ars.e and The guy must be bored as fvck, he's on Stormfront, NL, Somalinet and God knows how many other forums he's a member of ![]() |
Fulaman198: Dude she is proud to have mixed kids (I mean who announces they have mixed children randomly in a profile). Complete inferiority complex. She must be the female version of Uncle Ruckus lol |
CAMNEWTON4PRES: Artank you failed when you mentioned the British , my Somalian brother you and I are not talking about the same thing , I don't know how many times I should tell you that , you need to understand chronology, do you even understand what's BCE and CE?We are talking about the same thing. My point is that since we migrated from the north, our expansion is very recent hence why I made reference to those books. The first time Somalis and Bantus came across each other was sometime in the 13th century. |
KenyanLady: I am of mixed ethnicity Meru and Kikuyu, but I don't look like my ethnicity I've had so much cosmetic surgery, I can pass as a mixed race woman now. You're ashamed of your skin colour smh https://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lwg5nqw2ta1qzjix8.gif |
@Camnewton4pres Let's get the facts right here 1. Somalis never came across Bantus prior to their expansion. Somalis along with our other Cushtic cousins migrated from Southern Egypt to the Ethiopian highlands, Djibouti and Northern Somalia, where we built ancient kingdoms, city states and empires. The ruins of these ancient civilisations are still visible today. 2. I don't know the kind of bogus history books you've read but there is no single document that supports your argument; that Bantu people conquered land from us but I can find tons of books from the British colonial era that clearly shows Bantus complaining about Somalis and begging the British to stop the Somali expansion. 3. The only time Somalis set foot in Tanzania and Mozambique was when the Ajuuraan empire along with the Omani sultan liberated your people from the Portuguese. The Portuguese reconquered the southern east African coast later. 4. The semi arid lands that Somalis inhabit today were lush green valleys once, no one pushed us there rather we migrated to that land from the north. 5. Jamame, Kismayu, Garissa, Serenley, Liboi and many other towns in southern Somalia/northern Kenya were evidently Bantu towns hence those names. I can't think of any Bantu towns which carry Somali names that may hint a Bantu expansion on Somali land. |
