labake1:Any man that tells you he doesn’t do any of those 3 habits then be sure he has been lying to you even the name he gave you may not be his true names. Check |
flokii:The fact that a Niger-Deltan, a Southerner was made for the first time FCT-minister was just too hard for them to take. Also the Lagos-Calabar super highway project is a technical knock out for them. Tinubu is strengthening the south and placing the south to national reckoning rather than to be dictated to by the North/northern elders forum. Tinubu is changing everything and trying to ensure everything works for this nation with the hardworking south at the forefront of it all. PBAT election was outrightly divine. God blinded their eyes to enthrone someone who will be bold enough, rich enough and polically strong enough to call the bluff of the north. God enthroned PBAT for the sake of the nation’s wellbeing because he cannot be dictated to by the north and he has no political godfather. He was not bankrolled by anyone and above all he is wealthy enough not to need Nigeria money nor cower to dangote for assistance. PBAT is old and has nothing else to live for than make a good name for himself which can only be achieved by a determined rebuilding of Nigeria. Everyone feels the pinch including myself but it’s worth at this moment the pain. PBAT is the forerunner to Obi presidency. PBAT is building and nurturing a new set of political leaders for a united south. If Obi had come in at this time, it would have been completely premature. Even Obi has been politically advised to go round the country ahead of 2027 to make himself visible. 2027 will be a sucker punch for the north as PBAT is not interested in second term. The 4 years he has is enough for him to make the right impact and reposition this country on the path of economic success, growth and global reckoning. If the next president from the south fritters away all these gains, then we have ourselves to blame. The south is the strength of our national economy therefore the south must be strengthened while the insecurity in the north is resolved. Focusing at this time on the north that is at war with Boko haram will be a complete waste. Even Dangote will not risk focusing his investment in the north at this time. To get Nigeria out of economic crisis, 60% of effort must be on the south while 40% on the north. To ensure we have a secured country, 60% of security resources and votes must be on the north while 40% for the south. We must remain united to make it out as a nation. We must pray for the success of the leadership not our leaders. Nigeria remain ours and we all must bear with it all as other nations have done in the past. God bless us all. Happy Eid-el-fitr. |
Philipponzaghi:Which OAU compared to Unilag. You just need to be an Akokite to experience modern university learning and environment. Those days you can easily distinguish an Akokite from the rest. Unilag remain and will alway remain the greatest and most modern University in Nigeria. |
Even when you go outside of the country to Europe or the US, most people don’t know anything about Abuja. They will ask you how is Lagos etc. Lagos is simply the center of Nigeria’s life and enterprise. However, both Lagos and Abuja are very important to our country because living in both gives you a sense of belonging and unity. No one should waste their energy making derogatory comparisons. |
Metrofox:Most houses here in Abuja combines the public supply with their private boreholes to be able to enjoy uninterrupted water supply. Lagos is a state while Abuja is the FCT. Secondly the population of Lagos completely dwarfs that of Abuja. Lagos has lesser landmass compared to Abuja. So give it to Lagos anytime. This is well known in elitist circles here. Lagos is the country lifeline then Portharcourt, Kano, Abuja then the rest |
Armaggedon:Damn!!! Am sure you don’t live in Abuja. Abuja is a complete civil service economy. No meaningful industry, no bustling commercial activities compared to Lagos. Infact everything we need most times 90% are obtained from Lagos. Abuja has no social life as intense as Lagos. Simply put Abuja is nothing compared to Lagos. Most elites here travel to Lagos weekends and holidays to refresh and unwind. Lagos far outclass Abuja. I own multiple properties in Abuja and Lagos but Lagos fetches better income than Abuja’s. Most of my buildings here are empty except i decide to sell. Even sales takes time but valuable in the long run. A common who is a tenant in Abuja will find it very difficult to survive while Lagos accommodates everyone class of people. It’s either you are a politician or a high ranking corrupt civil servant in Abuja to make a headway. Only few businessmen and women from outside Abuja thrives along with the corrupt lots. |
Bvlgari:It’s more fuel economy to travel that distance between the villa and the national anti-terrorism center than using long convoys otherwise Nigerians will be the first to call him out. Good idea by PBAT |
remigiusizunna:In my opinion this is very embarrassing and a shame to Nigeria. It’s unacceptable and should be paid back in same kind. This action humiliates us as a people and shows the arrogance of the British people in their treatment of Africans. For god sake , Ekweremadu was a former Deputy Senate President of Nigeria and as such should have been accorded diplomatic treatment. |
Why beg for leniency? We should simply grab one of the UK diplomats here in Nigeria, put up charges against him and lock him up while waiting for prisoner swap. Begging will only make them feel more emboldened and continue to ridicule us. How can you hold and threaten to jail a former DSP and serving Senator of the Federal Republic. |
mrvitalis:If truly the evacuation is being done based on ethnic profiling it should be investigated and if found to be true should be condemned immediately. No Nigerian should be made to suffer in any foreign land. I also advise the igbos to be cordial and not resort to ethic battering etc. If the rumor is true then no one should start blaming Abike-Dabri or anyone because the Foreign Affairs Minister is an igbo man, why would he abandon his own brothers? |
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama tried, even spoke igbo in vain to evacuate the igbos but the igbos in Sudan refused and insisted Sudan is “No Man’s Land” and that they are not going anywhere but would rather join the fight as a faction to claim some lands and so the Minister left probably very disappointed Quite hilarious. Why keep crying the victim in everything? Am glad no Itsekhiri son or daughter can be found in Sudan. Thanks Reno for the piece. Everyone should learn to live in peace and together. Don’t say what you don’t know about a national exercise and avoid seeing things always from your own ethnic point of view otherwise other groups will develop same consciousness or simply hold you in disgust. |
Odin13:That was a very awful announcement. What sort of declaration was that? Clearly the law has been breached and that announcement shouldn’t stand. It is very very wrong. |
Tinubu supporters should also go to her twitter account to counter the Obi people otherwise the Obi people are throwing those insults to strengthen their google analytics about Tinubu in a false way. |
SmartPolician:You are the one saying Bola Tinubu is a drug lord not the US or Nigerian laws. There was no indictment anywhere on earth against him regarding drugs except for his forfeiture to the US - IRS which can happen to anyone including myself because in US and UK you have to keep watching over your tax remittances otherwise you will face a forfeiture. The law in Obi’s case is very technically clear, he wasn’t a member of the party 30 days before submission of the register and so being technically not a member of LP means he wasn’t qualified to contest under LP and so all his 6m votes are wasted or possibly as i would suggest those votes should be added to that of Tinubu to avoid wastage ![]() |
NotoriousBiggyS:Not so many people but ONLY the igbos and Obiidients people that are so full of hatred. Tinubu was loved nationwide by over 8.8m people. Nobody gave him a chance yet the prayers and love of 8.8 citizens gave us the best president and made us dodge a fatal bullet (Obi). 8.8m people hated Obi. Obi is already going to court blindly as usual. He certainly going to end up weeping in that his despicable strange voice. Millions globally loves Tinubu except the enemies of our nation that keeps referring to Nigeria as zoo. Tinubu presidency will be the game changer positively for all true lovers of our country and the best hope for Africa. With Tinubu, leadership problem of Nigeria has come to an end. No one sponsored Tinubu to power therefore he owes no one and cannot be controlled by any godfather somewhere. Tinubu presidency will be the best administration ever in our history. |

FreeStuffsNG:This leak has further worsen the estimation of the person Peter Obi in my view. Making desperate plea and calling an election religious war is just too unacceptable for us as a nation. This is terrible. He should be reported to UN, Hague, WH, 10 Downing Street, DSS etc. Peter Obi is a real threat to this country. Who knows what he must have discussed with and bribed the Afenifere Leadership. |
Nigerians should be happy because Obi would have thrown us all into a destructive religious war which no country has ever survived. God simply gave us Tinubu to avoid a great danger. |
naptu2:The church even abandoned a pastor to support a non pastor. I lost complete confidence in all men of God in Nigeria except the G.O of the Redeemed Christian Church of God Pastor E.O Adeboye. The rest are just a complete disappointment. May God show them mercy. |
Okorietitus:Forget any other candidate. OUK is the best material this time around and would surely reposition the SE politics in the larger mainstream of national political dynamics. OUK has friends all over the nation and am telling you this chap is detribalized and knows exactly how to maintain a strong handshake across various regions. |
Okorietitus:It’s not about the number of bills. Remember for a greater part of his time in the last senate he went through surgery and rehabilitation. Now he is much more healthier. Personally i am always on his and Soludo’s side. Don’t know much about Umahi but OUK is a decent guy. |
Bitchiamjay:OUK remain the best man for the job. He is completely detribalized and speaks all the major languages. He has all tribes in his employment right from those days when he started slok with his office located them on broad street way back. |
Bitchiamjay:OUK is the best man for the job and should be supported. |
Ndlistic:Look at , he is destroying his expired old passport not the valid one. You think you can mislead people. I have dual passports but i can never be so dumb to destroy my Nigerian passport. Those destroying their passports are the real dangers and enemies of this country. He should not return to apply to immigration for reissue. |
smsinnigeria:Local champ? There is no part of igboland that i don’t know and have not been to both by car by bike and on foot even before most here were born. It was those days when we had very excellent and accommodating igbos until this 2023 elections that you guys have made to polarize everyone. Am not in Lagos but i have enough prime properties in Lagos such that i don’t want it to be managed by those who wants to ridicule the natives and destroy what has taken years to build. |
Maxymilliano: |
smsinnigeria:The you should have left the local governorship elections to the Yorubas to vote whom they like. You should have called Gbadebo to let him know that you cannot interfere in the local election of a major tribe. Instead you started threatening days before the election to take over lagos, for what? Has any Yoruba man threaten to take over Anambra. Don’t treat others the way you don’t want to be treated. Obi was voted for by both igbos and yorubas in Lagos and SW but when it comes to governorship, allow the local people to vote their own because they know whom they want. It will be most destructive to vote an inexperienced fellow like Gbadebo to rule lagos. Lagos has always been blessed with good leaders because every governor passes through the civil service system right from Fashola, Ambode to Sanwo-Olu. They know the system and maintain the progress being witnessed in Lagos. Yorubas worldwide are concerned and have spoken. |
tolue42:Infact all yorubas were fully united in this for Sanwo-Olu. The igbos obviously forgot that they needed to build alliances instead of trying to tribally suppress other ethnic groups. They mocked the yorubas after the Obi lagos win. Yorubas from home and abroad and everywhere on the planet started calling home and impressing on the need for all to come together on this. Both Arise TV and Channels are partisan just that Arise is more pronounced. The plan was to subjugate the yorubas and render them completely incapacitated in their own land. The sought to destroy the entire yoruba traditional institutions and possibly replace them with Obis from South East. Gbadebo was a willing tool positioned to destroy his own people. It was a clear and present danger that must be stopped. |
haffaze777:Yorubas have learnt their lessons now. There is no state in the country where you are free to do anyhow as a visitor. Be it in the South East or the North. You must abide by the culture of the people and respect them as a people. Respect their institutions and choice of leadership. The Yorubas cannot go to the SE to start struggling for political positions with them and posting it online attached with lots of insults. The igbos will never take it and they will resist it will the utmost violence. You don’t interfere in the local elections but for the Presidential election everyone is free to engage. Leave the local elections to the ethnic group to choose their leaders do no interfere. If you think you can interfere in the local elections then it means you can also participate in choosing the traditional rulers for the people. What happened in the governorship election in lagos has to happen because the igbos were determined to suppress the Yorubas using GRV as a willing tool. Yorubas won’t take this. All yorubas have now been made self aware of the satanic plans to subjugate the people by the visitors in their midst. Everyone’s eyes are now opened, no more liberality and reckless accommodation. Everyone is now tribalistic because others are in their region and have thought the yorubas how to be tribalistic. The igbos should have behaved themselves and remain in their place in the Lagos governorship elections. |
Abalado:So you know how it feels wanting a party you don’t want in your land win any governorship. Same thing you cannot take in the SE why then are trying to do same in Lagos. Political contest would have been fun but you guys turns everything into horrible insults since the advent of Labour party. With LP i have seen how the rest of you displayed so much hatred against the rest of the country. You love your leaders and wants everyone else in the country to love yours while you hate and brazenly insult leaders from every other tribe. Well, such is not permitted and cannot happen in my place. |
N3TRAL:I support your point. The Senate presidency should come to SS. The SE did nothing much to help but we must admit it was a very difficult task to sell APC in the SE even PDP was abandoned. We shouldn’t blame the SE guys because they had one of theirs also on the ballot. First option SP slot to SS or SE. |
even Fayose a PDP man all the way from Ekiti campaign against Gbadebo...So Yorubas are united on this..I don't see why Igbo carry this on their head
