9jacrip: Were those guys prominent? I'm talking prominence in terms of world class. Azikwe was a regional champion and Ekwensi was a sub-regional champion. I guess you are just looking for idle talk..waste of my time |

9jacrip: Not to waste my time, I will post my response in bullet points since that is what you worth.
. Like your ilk, you have also used the term ignorant while foolishly spelling emigrant as emmigrant. Na emmy awards you go see.
. If you're trying to debate from historical perspective then be careful of those you engage. What prominent Igbo are you talking about here? The prominent Igbo ever was Chinua Achebe, where was he born?
. Before 1914, Igbo was secluded in their enclaves baring breasts and butts and competing with apes in the forest. (There are archival pictures to prove this if you need them) and as a result, upon exposure to western civilization (post 1960) they, out of need for survival trudged to other areas of Nigeria for survival.
. I stated previously that ibo migrate for economic reasons yet you're here talking about maximizing opportunities. Are you not buttressing my point although unknowingly considering your level of IQ.
. Mud houses and poverty yet your kith and kin have highly populated Akure and the remotest parts of Ondo doing the least jobs and perpetrating crimes? Really?
. Ilaje? Ijaw dominated area? Lmao! Say that in the presence of an Ilaje and you could get your ass whopped.
A quick run down of your post simply depicts a reiteration of the point I have continued to repeat all day that ibos are excessively emotional beings. You have not said anything of substance from the bullchit vitriols you concocted. This post of yours is an emotional outburst but I do not blame you, it is innate with you people.
Please do not bother to quote me further, go rub your cl!t or somerhing. fool where were nnamdi azikiwe, ojukwu and Cyprian ekwensi born? |

I was not being tribalist in my approach originally, I was just curious how Abia being how it is, is regarded as an oil producing state (plus its percentile output) given the fact that I know folks who have been to Anambra, Enugu, Imo and had good relatively things to say. tell that to the birds |

Abagworo: You do not need to enter Owerri proper whether going to or coming from Aba. Okorovha led government already built bypasses. Anybody driving into Owerri has not been there since 2013. I know that as you are coming into owerri from aba you can now enter owerri by going right at naze futo junction to a road that connects to wetheral road around st mulumba but I do not seem to remember seeing anyone if one is entering owerri from Onitsha road |

huptin: A mercantile culture that makes its region devoid of any meaningful economic activity while contributing to other region's development will always lead its people to be regarded as second class citizens where ever they may be. Any river that forgets its source will dry up, so says an african proverb anambra and abia are among six states that control ninety percent of cash flow in the country so that line of yours about 'devoid of meaningful economic activity' is not entirely correct though I see your point. |

Just wondering if imsg can build an owerri bye pass tiad that would connect Onitsha owerri express around irete to connect to obinze towards ihiagwa nekede and bust out at naze futo junction so that vehicles going to aba would not enter owerri proper. |

RareDiamond: Ihedioha Promises Imo Free Education
By Our Reporter on December 15, 2014 Trending
FROM GEORGE ONYEJIUWA,OWERRI
Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP governorship candidate in Imo State, Hon Emeka Ihedioha, has promised Imo citizens free and qualitative education if elected next year.
Delivering a lecture titled, “The legislature as an instrument of a social change” at the Champion Better Society lecture series held in Owerri, the state capital, Ihedioha said that he would not only make education free but the poor performance of the students in examinations would be reversed.
According to him, “If I am elected Governor of Imo State, education will be qualitative. We will reverse the recent poor result of Imo indigenes in WAEC and NECO Examinations.
“In the 2013 WAEC examination, Imo State scored an average of 46%, “whereas our neighboring states of Anambra and Abia scored 67% and 65% respectively.
This is unacceptable and must be reversed for the sake of the future of our children” he said.
He disclosed that the proposed constitution amendment makes basic education not just free and compulsory but a constitutional right We believe that free education should not be a political gimmick”.
As part of achievements of the current legislature, he said amendments of section 25 of the 1999 Constitution, which addresses the indigene/settler conflict which has continued to plague Nigeria because of its heterogeneous composition, would foster unity among Nigerians.
“This amendment will foster cooperation and unity among Nigerians to a point where Nigerians are considered based on who they are and their contribution to the society, rather than where they come from,” he noted.
Ihedioha said that the transfer of two items: Right to free Primary and Maternal Health Care Services and Right to free Basic Education from Chapter 2 of the Constitution on the Fundamental Objectives and Directive Principles of State Policy to Chapter 4 on Fundamental Human Rights was a landmark achievement, which when eventually enacted, would bolster the Human Development Index of Nigeria by ensuring that citizens are granted access to basic Health and Education facilities.
On security, he said in responding to security which has remained a major challenge in the country, the National Assembly, had passed numerous resolutions and initiated many bills to address the security challenges in the country, citing the Terrorism (Prevention) Act Amendment Bill 2012, the State of Emergency Proclamation and its 3 extensions.
http://sunnewsonline.com/new/?p=95458 someone should tell Ihedioha not to have his hope high |
