*Long Post Alert* Is time to share my very own Story. I had posted my Visa/POE transcript here. On the 10th of August, I woke up with this energy drive, I never knew it was the baby that was making her way. I asked a Doctor Friend what it is like to be in Labor, her response was like, they no dey tel person, say me sef go know when time reach, I was not feeling any serious pain but I was not too comfortable. I spent more than 4hrs in the Mall that very day, on getting home, I ate hot fufu n soup as if my life dependent on it. I was like let me try and rest after a hectic day only for me 2 have this discomfort feeling, I decided 2 go to the Hospital @ this point even if it was false labor atleast 2 be on the side of caution . I informed my Host which she decided to call Uber for me. I was about to make my way outta the house when I noticed I could not move @ this point. Felt this sharp pain,i screamed and told my Host it looks like the is here, I just laid flat, nex my PRINCESS popped out (I did not push), she came out all by herself right there. It was like a movie. My Host was there 2 grab her otherwise she would have fallen but thank God she was on time.(Did I hear say u Hebrew women kinda delivery yes it was ) D umbilical cord was detached. We made our way 2 the hospital. On reaching the Hospital, the baby n I were admitted, they were all overwhelmed that I had a home delivery without any form of complications or tears (God @ work) I was monitored and certified ok after 24hrs, they had given my Discharge Order 2 go home but I refused because the Contract Agreement stated 2days stay so y wanting 2 discharge me after a day? Afterall no b me say make the baby come the way she did. In all there was no Complications, Mother and baby are doing fine, we just returned back to 9ja on Monday. Some useful tips that will be of help to others especially those who don't have time on their side are;Insist u are given the birth Cert form to fill once u are at ur Recovery room. Call vital records after 3days (3126037790) to find out if the BC is ready for collection, once is ready pick up @Downtown Chicago -Daley Center, 50w Washington St Chicago. 1st copy is $15 while subsequent copies are $4. I got my baby's Passport same day I got the BC, both Offices are in Downtown, imdtly I picked up the BC,i headed Passport Office @ 101W Congress Parkway, 9th Floor. Downtown. It was expedited @ $165 collected it that same day. I was told the SSN is likely going to take 4 to 6weeks. Hearing this information, I decided 2 go 2 their Office @ 77W Jackson Street,Downtown is about a5mins walk from the Passport Office. I filled the form and my baby's Ssn was mailed to me within 6days. Lastly, ensure u send ur application for visa on arrival on time, in my case I did not get any approval, I kept sending remainders until I was left with the option of using an Agent that charged me 10k when I just had a day to leave! if only I had known I won't have suffered myself in the 1st place because I knew the kinda pressure I went tru because of their no response. With this, our Missionary journey came to an end. We are back home. I saw the mighty hands of God. 2 him alone be all the glory. Am so happy I found this thread, most of the information was gotten here. Special thank 2 Nerf, freshdad and to all those that took out time to respond to my questions no matter how awkward it sounded. God bless u all. |

customised87:Most of the dates in August are available, maybe you should check again. After reading ur post, I had to check as well considering my time but I saw a lot of available dates. All the best. |
Long post alert This thread has been of great help to me, all you need do is just give urself time and read. All the answers to your questions are staring right @ u. In the spirit of giving back, I flew Egyptair @ 36wks +. I was asked to get my Fit to Fly from Port Health for 2k( please don't waste ur money getting it from ur Hospital because it won't b honoured). The Port Health Staff was rather more interested @ collecting the 2k. We had a 9hours layover @ Cairo, checked in to a Hotel. Had a very good meal and Buffer for Breakfast before leaving in the morning. Arrived JFK @ about 03:45pm. There were a lot of passengers on ground. God bless the Mamaa that advised I request for a Wheelchair because it was a wise decision, the guy wheeled me right to the CBP Officer, Here's our conversation: CBP: Passport pls, what kind of food do you have? Mua: Egusi, garri, caryfish etc. CBP: Do u hve meat, fish, veggies? Mua:No Na so the guy stamped my passport n said Welcome to America. It did not take upto a minute. I was like; chai na me be this?? Who I be?? (In Efe's voice). Mind u I got my visa for vacation in 2015 which I have used it for the purpose intended. I went straight, got my bags, took the Shuttle Bus to Laguardia Airport where I boarded the next flight to Chicago. I have gone for my 1st hospital appointment, waiting for the next one. Am just chilling and relaxing, waiting for the triumphant entry of my Baby. In all God's favour was just @ work because I was prepared, had all the necessary documents one can think of, to my bank statements I printed that very day of my Trip. Thanks good people, may God bless, provide n reward us all for the sacrifices we make for our kids. |
Travelled yesterday, it was an easy entry... no stresss... will share full experience when i am fully rested |
BechAutos:Back track 3pages away. It was discussed @ length. |
[quote author=iamnikky69 post=58227402]Hi everyone, i really appreciate the work you all are doinf on this forum. Please i'm a bit confused about the whole notarisation thing. Please can someone kindly breakdown what it's meant for. My husbabnd will be in the US when my child arrives. So do i need this notarisation for my baby's documents? What's the easiest way to get birth certificate and US passport in Texas. The Notarisation form is for those that DH won't b around to process baby's US Passport after delivery. For your other questions those who used Texas wud b in a better position to answer but not withstanding, ensure you fill and spell baby's name correctly when filling the forms for BC. |
