Congratulations on the birth of ur baby. Can u please share ur bills so we can a learn.

Orestik:
Hello house, I had my LO last week Wednesday at Medical centre, toms river NJ. Still trying to gather my strength back and trying to have a grasp of breastfeeding as a first time mum. I'm so thankful for all the useful info I got on this forum. God bless you all.

Thank u, I just wanted to be sure that I can get it notarized b4 I travel

Cuteaidomo:
I guess this depends on the state where you are having ur baby or requesting for the passport. Some states insist on the notarized one from the embassy, others don't.

quote author=ashedzi post=54770068]Good Day all, pls from previous parts, Mummies here notarized their forms(without date on it) right from 9ja b4 going on their Missionary journey for those that DH won't be around when baby comes and some states accepted it. Is this still acceptable? Or I would have to wait for baby's arrival then DH books an appointment @ the Embassy and he sent to me thereafter??

I don't think it can be notarized without date.
However the document is valid for 90 days. It is better you do it very close to the day you leave so that it will still be valid at the time you will use it.
Thank u, atleast I know I can do it b4 traveling.
Run away from birth centres! Run as fast as your legs can carry you. Will come back with my transcript on a birth center i ended up not using in 2013! Save some money and deliver in the hospital ! Save yourself the stress and pain! It might be cheaper but at the long run it will become more complicated (making the bills more expensive ). Stay away from birth centre!

This is most likely why the VOs are now denying people who receive large discounts for birthing purposes... the discounts are because the Feds fund the hospitals to provide services to poorer Americans... not to internationals.
Can u please explain more,am beginning to get confuse about this discount issue. I know you can be given Cash discount for upfront payment of ur bils. Do u mean accepting discounts is all wronghuh Another thing is how do u know Hospitals to avoid so u don't have trouble renewing ur visa. Please help, we are all learning.

For me I prefer to be closer to the hospital than Dr Office so that if there is an emergency I will get there on time to avoid using ambulance as much as possible.
Because the cost of ambulance will not be small.
God bless u 4 the response
bolded is correct. However distance is relative. You don't want a hospital that is 2 hours away, if you get my drift

Please help a sister out as I need to make my decision about hospital/accomodation. Thank u n God bless.

NaijaMama:
I passed through Houston POE on the 23rd of June and told the officer that I was here for childbirth to take advantage of the citizenship that my child will have. Told him I'll like to give her the options when she grows up especially for good quality education.

I spent a total of about 4 minutes with the guy. He didn't ask to see my money, he didn't send me to secondary inspection. He only asked to see correspondence and receipt of payment because I told him that I'd paid 95% of my total bill by wire transfer. My food bag was also not checked.
Congratulations on d arrival of ur LO. Still awaiting for ur birth story.

On this dollar matter, just this morning I needed 2 change my dollars, D Mallam is someone I know very well,he told me the rate had gone down to #335 =$1 from #340, I was even saying that speculations are that it will really crash. Only 4 him to call me this evening that the Closing price as @ cob 2day was #340 to $1 meaning is going up, the Mallam was saying it won't come dwn imdtly because those traveling to Mecca are all huzzling 4 it making supply limited 4 now, and the bank thing does not take effect imdtly. May God help 9ja & help her find da right direction.

Is very ok to say she is going for childbirth with proofs that you can pay ur bills without accepting any medicaid. Go through the thread, giving birth in the US is not illegal. Goodluck and ensure u come back to share your transcript in the spirit of giving back.

Please i want to know if it is ok to say that she is going for childbirth or rather to say she is going for a visit because we have a family member that wants to send us invitation letter.

Please any one that have passed through the US interview at the embassey recently should please help me out with advice.
Thanks.

Hello everybody

Am new here? have gone through the thread and i appreciate the good work you guys are doing in this forum. Please I need guidance as I want to give birth in US

Please I want to ask, Must one apply for medical visa if you want to give birth in US, what if you apply as tourist
Note. I dont have any bad intention,I just want to know if any body have gone through that route.
Just need clarification on that.
Thanks

Yes u must apply for medical visa if ur intention is 2 give birth. If u apply as a tourist, omo na lonnnnnng thing 4 u be that. Most of the pple on this thread do not go tru dat route but rather the declare their intentions 2 d VO.
please when I applied for visa to attend a seminar I was already pregnant. i was not asked if i was pregnant at the interview. the conference is about the same time I intend to travel for childbirth which I am just planning for. I so not see myself attending the conference again. would a change of intent letter be okay to say I am going to have my baby? please what do I do

Since u were pregnant as at d time of ur interview u shd hve told the VO dat u wud also want to give birth as well, this can be seen as misrepresentation odawze y putting off d conference afta securing d Visa? I hope it won't generate issues @ POE

You see here's the thing. m not seeing any pay later option on the website. All I'm seeing is credit/ debit card. I'm confused
Also, I have printed the form, so are you saying once my doctor fills the form no need for the letter again? Or should I just get both? [/quote

Are you using ur fone 2 mke this booking? I wud advised u try it with ur tablet or laptop. Another alternative is to change it to desktop site incase if it is on the mobile site setting incase u r using ur fone.

Elpaso Mama's, is there any slightest of chance that elpaso accepts DS 3053 notarised by notary public. Abi na only embassy notorised one.

Also, how long did it take you guys (elpaso mama's) to finish every documentation. My ticket is for 9 weeks. May have like 4 weeks or so to process documents depending on when baby arrives.

Do I need budget sheet for POE or its only necessary for visa purposes.

Pls, if anyone knows or hears that any of these banks are selling PTA in abuja. Pls, notify me. First bank, GTB, Stanbic IBTC and

Sterling bank Kaduna, Kakuri branch 2 b precise sells PTA.
