Rwanda has become the first African country to launch the Volkswagen electric car, the e-Golf in a joint venture between Volkswagen and Siemens.

At today’s launch that’s expected to be witnessed by Prime Minister Edourd Ngirente, four cars will be unveiled on the local market with one charging station at the Volkswagen assembly plant at the Kigali Special Economic Zone. The number of cars will later increase to 20 while 15 more charging stations will be established across the city of Kigali.

A fully charged engine of the e-golf has a capacity of 230 kilometer distance, which is an average of one week to/from work for a civil servant in Kigali.

Rwanda is making good progress in clean/green energy. The VW’s electric car launch follows the launch of an electric motorcycle by Safi Ltd early October this year. Before Safi, two other ventures were also launched in this area of electric motos.

President Kagame in June this year told the Youth in a Meet President gathering to prepare for change in moto transport where fuel consuming motos are going to be replaced by the electric motos.

"Rwanda Investigation Bureau (RIB) has arrested a Nigerian lecturer at the University of Rwanda (UR) after he was allegedly caught sleeping with a 15-year-old teen in Nyagatare district, Eastern Province.

The lecturer, Dr John Dorotimi who teaches at the University’s Nyagatare campus in the department of Irrigation and Drainage, was allegedly sleeping in the same bed with the teen at the time of arrest, Spokesperson of Rwanda Investigation Bureau Modeste Mbabazi told Kigali Today, our sister vernacular website.

The teenager was taken to Nyagatare district hospital for tests, while the suspect remain under arrest, our reporter on ground Emmanuel Sebasaza Gasana says.

The latest case happens when Rwanda grapples with high cases of teenage pregnacies.

For instance, Health Ministry findings indicate that in this year alone, more than 15,600 teenagers were impregnated between January and August – sparking a call for concerted efforts to curb the vice.

Recently The President of Rwanda had a chit chat with his Young Rwandese to gear them into taking over the affairs of state and be ready to venture into every productive realm for the development of their country One of the beautiful countries in the world as today Yet in same Africa
Countries like Botswana, Namibia, Tanzania have no time for silly things like Beauty pageant, It is only Nigeria that promotes prostitution with BBniaja because the Politician and the censorship board knows how useless the Nigerian youths are,
They cannot think of taking over Power for the advancement of the nation
Those who dared are ridiculed and disgraced by social media titans
The Government have used several things to distract the youths unlike the countries mentioned above where the girls displayed above will be arrested and fined or even jailed for daring to think there is any productive development for promiscuity which the organizers are promoting because of Lack of Jobs
These are deliberate things permitted by the wicked Government, Do you know they have had several pageants this year?
It is deliberate to distract the docile youths and keep them away from the doom of their future
We have to stop celebrating academic excellence look at what is daily focused on the Nigerian society

First of All, Boniface Oghenehu is of the Department of French in the European Languages arm of Faculty of Arts, He is by my rating Lacking in any intellectual qualification like many so-called Lecturer of the University of Lagos. he does no possess any honour of a true Lecturer, He is part of the Lecturers that were employed when the academic system was beginning to fall.
You could see he look more like a village man in the video than a Lecturer.

Unilag Harbours these miscreants in Large number and because they are not clean that is why the School Authority is only dissociating itself because as it might interest you to know, many of the Lectures are guilty of these indecent acts
The academic work in Unilag is totally emasculated, these Lecturers so-called have no moral clouts and no shame
Those who do it are the not well-educated ones like this one who have nothing to offer

Unilag is actually dead, they only keep such menace and the many of his likes in the university to continue the broken compromised system
Watch out, because he is well connected, as they say, they will protect him instead of sacking him
The reason is that the country is broken from the top.
The Moral standard in Nigeria is extinct
