PlayMaker14:Which one be sit at home again. You people are just too funny ![]() |
Angelfrost:No jokes! I believe this united can beat any team! Even from 2 goals down. I mentioned in one thread criticising rookie coaches, Ole inclusive, that some of these coaches and Ole has tried. He's held his own against Klopp and Pep and I think even has a better head to head record. Just some tactical fine tuning needed, which I believe he's acquiring. He just needs a football loving board/owners, not business men. |
Angelfrost:Guy, please realise this - not everyone on this thread is out to get Man Utd fans. Read all my comments, I never said Man Utd aren't elite or they are mediocre. I said they are a top club, which is why people are disappointed. I also said, my issue with Man Utd is not just last night but the past 4 years (which you also agreed to) So, where is the argument. If there's any argument, I'm sure it's constructive. So read my comments well and don't get carried away by that other Man Utd fan wey say ano get brain as him think say I dey troll am. There are people who are objective sport commentators. ![]() |
Angelfrost:Of course, united are not a mediocre team. If they are there won't be much noise. They are arguably in the top best 5 teams in the world, nah why they need to step up. As for Villarreal, lol. They are a curious case. They need consistency. They are like the Tottenham of Spain. Using your words, could it be because they underperform is why they are seen as underdogs? ![]() |
adelaja70:Yep. And they got bashed every year they were out of the elite circle. They celebrated their return on Sunday like a trophy. Do you want to become like them? I guess not. That's my point. The club should change something before becoming like them. |
adelaja70:I understand it hurts, so I'll ignore the insult. So to answer your question (bolded) It makes their season a failure, just as the manager said. Even the players recognise this, only Nigerian Man Utd fans have a problem with this truth. A club of Man Utd stature should not go FOUR SEASONS trophyless! It's not just about last night, it's the 4 years. Top 4 or 2nd is not a trophy. Something has to change. Even Juve that won Coppa Italia and finished top 4 are considering changing manager. It is accepting mediocrity (top 4) as success that has led Arsenal to their current situation. It only gets worse. |
lascos912:Lol. Dem borrow money dey pay salaries ni sef. They closed down their other club, immediately after those ones won their league too - Jiangsu Sunning. They are looking to sell Inter Milan, but no buyers due to Coronavirus. |
adelaja70:Lol. Let's hear your analysis of Villarreal being an elite club. I'd love to see it. |
Angelfrost:First, Sevilla, Atalanta, Dortmund can't be spoken of in the same breath as Man Utd. That you are, says a lot about how low Man Utd has sunk. Secondly, these clubs have points in the bank. I mean they have met and some even surpassed expectations (from fans and general public alike) in recent times(last 2 years) . Third, Dortmund, Juventus, Barcelona won trophies this season. The others finished strongly. Ac Milan back in Europe, Madrid finished strongly (but Zidane left because that wasn't good enough), Atalanta, best points tally ever(equal with last season) There are times mediocre teams get to European finals. Fulham got there in 2010 and rightly lost, are they an elite team? My point is - Don't kid yourself, Man Utd underperformed yesterday and throughout the season. Villarreal were the underdogs. Ideally, there'll be an inquest - at some level. Players-wise or manager-wise, or Board-wise. Madrid are having an inquest, Barca will. United should. |
lexy2014:Two reasons 1. They finished 7th in laliga, behind Betis, Sociedad. Midtable team. 2. They lack Do you see notice how most people are not heaping praise on Villarreal but shame and disappointment on Manchester united? Do you also notice that accolade is directed at Emery as a Europa specialist? #Oleout is trending and Man Utd season is considered a failure, but do you think same woulda applied to Villarreal if Man Utd had won? And if you still think they aren't a mediocre club, I'll like your definition of elite club. |
Aflix:But do you think 3 and half years woulda been the punishment if it were a man? |
lascos912:Inter Milan owners don broke, so are cutting cost/reducing investment. Players sef go waka. Plus I hear say vacancy go dey Real Madrid next season. |
omolola100:The attached image is what is obtainable in USA schools as per religion and schools which you used as reference. That's for public schools in USA, imagine how strict about mixing religion and education private schools will be there.

Cenripacta:Thank you. Were Guardiola and Flick not rookies when they got their jobs? Didn't they succeed? |
nairalee:The bolded. How do you test them if not by appointing them? It is the testing process you get to know whether it's a hit or miss. The bolded is the reason companies look for 'experience' who in reality are archaic and have nothing to offer, while they ignore fresh blood with innovative ideas ready to work. Personally, I think OGS, Pirlo and maybe even GATUSSO are decent. Why? OGS is up against Guardiola and Klopp, and he's holding his own. I don't have the stats, but I believe he has better head to head record against those 2 men. With time, he'll perfect his other shortcomings. Pirlo won the Coppa Italia and is in the champions league. Good enough for his very first season ever especially with the super competitiveness of Serie A this season. Now, which 'tested and trusted' coach would you like to replace them? Sarri, Mourinho, Allegri? Even the successful coaches started as rookies. Let me give you 3 examples of rookies appointed that are a hit. Guardiola, he was in charge of B team when he was appointed by Barcelona. See as he blow. Tito Vilanova - Spent one season in barca and he won the league. He was a revelation. Made mourinho suffered. He didn't continue due to health issues Hansi Flick - Need I say anything? Arteta own, well, that's just a reflection Arsenal football club. |
DownChelsea:Be like say the guy nah nearly man o. I hope he breaks the hoodoo on Saturday. |
DownChelsea:Give numbers - trophies won in the past decade. This is the same metrics use by UEFA for coefficient ranking. Let trophies won by ancestors rest. ![]() |
oluplus:No bi lie. He played like someone who his girlfriend just dumped. |
fujirice:Spot on. Maybe Reece James too. He did not affect the game as we know he can, was lacklustre for parts of the game. Maybe cos he wasn't played in his favourite position. As for Jorginho, he must chop bench on 29th. He's been proving a liability these days. His gift against Arsenal was why we were in this situation in the first place. |
Pvibe007:Abeg bro, leave that man. Let me pm you my CV biko. |
oluwadabira111:I need "Trouble in form 6". How can I get it from you? |
WibusJaga:Lol @image. But that was 16+years ago. Psv, Lyon, Ac Milan, Inter Milan were still doing well in Europe then. Psg, Man City were not big clubs. RB Leipzig was not yet founded and Chelsea was just rising. What I'm saying is, Football has left arsenal behind for 15+years ![]() |
Thanks so much! |
bada007:It's called a blip. Manchester City had it against Leeds, Man Utd against Sheffield United, Bayern against Mainz, Barca against Osasuna...on and on, I can go on listing. It happens. You get it? ![]() |
DaddyYankee:Porto have 2 champions league trophies. Before you scream and say it's the old European cup, answer these 3 questions- 1. How many Champions league trophies does Real Madrid have? 2. How many of them are in the champions league as we know it today? 3. Who's talking trash now?
|
mattmogan88:The picture says it all. In Tuchel we trust!
|
stano2:My Gtb account months now. I have been told 48,72, 10 working days. Still waiting. They are all mad |
Good day dear Nairalanders!! Please help me with a job. Modified. Found 1! Thanks for all for the comments |
drips8:No jokes. They rarely get their players outside bundesliga. All they do is look for the best players in other clubs in bundesliga and buy them, sometimes free transfer sef. Now they are poaching coaches. They just poached the best bundesliga coach (besides Hansi Flick). Imo, it's difficult and even unfair to ask other bundesliga clubs to compete with such system! They are flattrack bullies! |
