Can the military crush the militants or do they mean crushing Niger delta as in killing the innocent. My believe is that declaring a state of emergency in the Niger delta states will solve the problems but ignite a bigger problem because the crisis will go off shore and to neighboring states. 3 Likes |
Politics / Re: A Yoruba President After Buhari In 2023 Is A MUST! by asorocker: 11:25am On May 14, 2016 |
Yorubas are politically short sighted and myopic, the lack both fore and hind sight. By 2023 the APC goons from the pdp Amaechi, Atiku, saraki will tidy up whom they want to support for the presidency. By then other options from the remaining pdp will line up with their options this 2 groups will nominate the president and the other the vice. Tinubu will be frustrated out of apc and would go back to ANC while cpc would have no option than to realign it's interest with the Amaechi group. This alliance will most likely pick a middle belt president and south east or south south vice or vice versa. Yoruba can not play National politics the only play politics of betrayal and cross carpeting. Acn could never have won the presidency on their own except without conceding to cpc. By Buhari second term everything will change because he doesn't owe tinubu a dime by then and would be looking forward to preserving his legacy and achievements. 1 Like |

Brainless APC ,so you have woken up from your stupid hypocrisitical ignorance and false patriotism to realize after 4 years when a world class economist advised you to do away with petroleum subsidy that subsidy should go. May the souls of the ignorant people who demonstrated and died during the last subsidy riot rest in peace. And may those who deceived the whole country with their false analysis to justify why subsidy should stay, those who mobilised people to demonstrate for a whole week against subsidy making the economy to loose billions, those who have been described as fantastically corrupt by the western world, those who fight against corruption is lopsided hatred against the opposition political party be held responsible for the billions of dollars lost to the payment for subsidy. 105 Likes 9 Shares |

georjay:All ijaws need to do to sink Yoruba race if Yoruba attack them is to blow up the third mainland bridge, cater bridge and the contain bridge then completely wreck apapa ports and MMIA. This will force expatriates to escape through Benin Republic while igbos the live wire of Lagos would have no option than move their business to another port city. Once that is done Lagos would stagnate and choke to death on the weight of redundant and unprofitable businesses ,warehouses, eateries, schools, brt, taxis ,yellow buses, shopping mall etc. 1 Like |

Did the Nigerian military get orders from above before the 76 Enugu indigenes were arrested and detained in Umuahia. If so how about the shooting of unarmed protesters in aba and the shooting of the 2 butchers. My guess is that what Nigerians have as military is a bunch of people whose only aim is to shoot when it suits them run for cover when they encounter a bigger force and bend the rules to suite their nepotism |

.the security operatives have arrived the area threatening to arrest anyone plotting a counter attack. I think it is time the Nigerian Security operatives have their duty areas clearly marked out and defined , i saw how the same security agents disappeared before the herdmen attacked only to reappear minutes after the finished. one wishes to note here how the nigerian security has degenerated to the extent that they now take sides in a conflict , they appear and arrested 76 youths who assembled to protest the menace of the herdmen but were no where to be found during the conflicts with the herdsmen, The DSS was quick to announce that IPOB were responsible for the murder of the 5 herdsmen but have remained dumb with the recent attack on UZo Uwani. Not that i care about the Nigerian security and their flaws but the moment uzo uwani arm them selves and revenge you would see the highest height of hypocrisy displayed by the DSS and the Military 3 Likes 1 Share |

How do you cause an industrial revolution with this, simply declare it as the official car of anambra state first then the entire south east and the entire east, grow the industry with patronage from the transport companies of which igbos control and and from the state, federal and local government. Produce cars customised for the different states and regions of the country . Produce cars that are heat resistant and can keep cool under extreme heat for the North and cars that are corrosion resistant and can withstand floods for the coastal states Reach out to other states in the north and Lagos through very effective sales and marketing strategy. Strategies on how to penetrate the neighboring countries, support the brand with reward for loyalty and very good after sales support. 54 Likes 5 Shares |

Politics / Enugu To Become Africa’s Silicon Valley From Leo Stan Ekeh by asorocker: 2:24am On Apr 19, 2016 |
The Chairman of Zinox Group, Mr. Leo Stan Ekeh, has declared that Enugu State has the potential of becoming the digital capital of Nigeria and that of West Africa by taking advantage of the limitless opportunities to create digital wealth. He stated this at the first-ever Enugu State Investment Summit, tagged, ‘Oganiru 2016’, saying that what was required was for the state government to enhance the profile of the numerous resources it already possessed and the comparative advantage it enjoyed in certain areas. “Enugu enjoys a rare privilege of being an established cosmopolitan city and remotely developed rural areas with minimum infrastructure. It is therefore easier for the government to take ownership. “The state presently has the largest concentration of ambitious tertiary institutions in the country. You have fibre optic cables laid all over the state. You enjoy cheaper rental cost for quality accommodation, good roads and the general cost of living is less. “The only thing holding you back is the political will and electric power infrastructure, which you can provide temporarily with generators before partnering to build power plants and you will see this state transforming into a haven for digital wealth creation as well as smart and quality lifestyle in the 21st century,” he said. Ekeh decried the nonchalant attitude of some South East governors who, according to him, have near zero investment in infrastructure for digital wealth creation in the 21st century. The digital entrepreneur wondered how leaders in the region intended to create billionaires who would pay taxes in the near future without any form of concrete investment in place for providing opportunities and nurturing the youths. “I must state here that the Igbo are not ready for digital wealth creation as it is obvious that leaders in the region are not ready to transit to building the knowledge economy which holds the key to achieving this,” he stated. “Digital wealth is the new mega wealth that rewards the effort in few months or years but you must create solid platforms to uplift your people. “It is about building creative platforms for our kids and millions of today’s restive youths, which will channel their energies and passion towards what is termed today as true miracle wealth,” he said. “Increased access to education as captured in the building of a knowledge economy, a clear change of attitude, visualising the bigger picture and liberalising access to information through Information and Communications Technology are core essential requirements to achieving this. “This is a century of results and not efforts and sincerely, no one was created by God to be poor in this century but government must invest in critical infrastructure for her people to benefit,” he added. Ekeh, who congratulated the State Governor, IfeanyiUgwuanyi, for initiating the summit, expressed deep concern about the resource gap between the Igbo of his age and the next generation of youths. He said that many in his generation were able to build and defend their franchises because the economy was transiting in all sectors from analogue to digital, which they were able to key into. “This is why you will observe that there is no noticeable gap between my generation and when the likes of erstwhile leaders and successful businessmen from the South-East such as ChukwuemekaOdimegwu-Ojukwu, Chief Augustine Ilodibe, Godwin Tabansi, Emmanuel Akwiwu and Ferdinand Anaghara, among others, held sway,” he added. 2 Likes |

afoobabs:Where did you see me calling Lagos no man's land. The point I am trying to make is the economic benefits that the Lagos Calabar rail line will serve. If it is to ship imported goods from Lagos to Calabar then the project is dead on arrival. Nigeria is in big economic mess the right thing is to expand the economic base of the nation with the little resources the country can get .open up the coastal maritime economy of the Niger delta so that agricultural products from benue, taraba, adamawa, nassarawa can be evacuated easily .the loan should be used to build a deep sea port in Calabar and a rail line to the north eastern part of the country. God bless Nigeria. God bless Buhari God bless APC 23 Likes 2 Shares |
