betterABIAstate:Do you mean using rocket launchers to launch rockets that would hit Abuja from the creeks or invading Abuja from land and air. I think this people are probably talking with both local and foreign military advisors. I still don't know what gives buhari confidence that he can defeat the militants. Whoever gives the advice not to tow the line of peace is a real devil. Some folks think it would be like 1967 thing where some people were resisting in the jungles or anambra and imo with Russian and Egyptian pilots dropping bombs and killing innocent civilians while the world looked elsewhere |
simplycarro:No body is asking him to succumb to blackmail or threat all people are asking him is to allow peace to reign, Nigeria is already in the woods with N400 exchanging for $1, foreign investors pulling out of the country, local investors not finding foreign currency to continue their business, Nigerian students stranded in foreign schools, Nigeria oil not having enough buyers. Buhari should just allow peace to reign and not add to the problems of the ordinary man on the street whom he is not even ready to assist. |
With the dollar exchanging for N400, investors pulling out of the country, businesses finding it impossible to source for foreign currency to do their imports and now the militants threatening to ground the oil industry and someone would call this change. |
simplycarro:The South East even if it is destroyed will be rebuilt by the owners to be far better than other states. But my fear is that by the time soldiers start loosing their lives in thousands, the federal government will bring a starvation policy to kill innocent women and children rather than fight biafran army, that is everybody's fear. So for the umpteenth time buhari should release Nnamdi kanu so that peace will reign. |
solid3:I think buhari should let peace reign for once. By the time this boys start blowing up oil pipe lines and attacking military and police institutions and destroying public infrastructure the whole nation would suffer it as oil export would go down while a lot of military and police men would die. There is nothing much Nigeria military can do except as usual kill unarmed youths or seek the services of South African mercenaries or Russian or British military. But by then the economy would have taken a big hit with foreign investors running out of the country. While the military institution would look for a way to remove buhari for throwing the country into chaos. |
simplycarro:Buhari should release Nnamdi kanu so that peace will reign, buhari should pursue Nigeria's economic woes and leave tompolo, what really is too difficult to understand about this. |
bamdexfarms:Who buys innoson, Union battery, aba shoes, Nnewi spares parts in the east if the market is not there, the way some of you people reason sometimes is really disgusting. |
Herald47:Both imo and osun are APC states, we can vividly remember how churches rallied to raise bailout funds and donate food for osun people. Imo state is broke because their igr cannot sustain their huge wage bill, that was why the reduced the size of their civil service. But osun is bankrupt, because after paying the loans and other liabilities what remains cannot pay nepa bill for the government house. |
This is really a funny appointment, making a former bank MD the SA to the minister for budget. If this is not the height of misplaced appointment then it is just too glaring a sign of incompetence in selecting ministers |
It is BMB all the way |
dikeigbo2:This man has done for the present generation of igbos and niger deltans what even some of our governors and ministers have not been able to do. God bless Ben Bruce. |
isblog:Ben Bruce is about the only reasonable senator in the national assembly, he joined politics out of self conviction to serve unlike the numerous senators who are filling up quota requirements of their states. He emerged from a back ground of an accomplished business man unlike some senators who are their on the grace of a god father who expects returns. Ben Bruce type has finally proven to some weaklings that bayelsa has brains and intelligence and not drunk fishermen as was sold to the public by some desperate political parties. |
Evathyst:So what are your remaining senators who make common sense on the floor achieving. There is still massive killings in the North East, the downward spiral slide of the Naira continues with out any resistance, while your senators are busy with mundane issues and the usual blame game on the past administration. |
If the South East states and South south states can close ranks and cooperate on certain economic projects then there would be zero reliance on oil. Key among infrastructure should be a deep sea port, an international airport hub, key health institutions, key world class educational and research institutions. |
If the South East states and South south states can close ranks and cooperate on certain economic projects then there would be zero reliance on oil. History will never forgive people like Amaechi and oshiomole. |
What is so gallant about the Nigerian military. If Nigeria was a United States then the military institution would have killed more than 2/3 of the population and would have lost Alaska to Russia Texas to Mexico and Florida to the Cubans without a single gunshot |
Ahmeduana:As if you have any meaningful thing in your brain |
omohayek:Then what is her work as a finance minister if she cannot over see government parastatals under her. |
vainfairy7474:Go and quote this to awolowo, obasanjo and co and stop suffering from selective Amnesia |
How this beauty queen married this guy is what I still can't figure out. |
Who or what really is the fallen heroes or sheroes of Nigeria |
The first coup seems to be the the most effective and efficient, just 6 majors struck and demobilised the ruling structure. The second could is not a coup in technicalities but is rather a genocide. Coup and genocide are 2 Different things |
ajoguegbe:Please how come all three of them took a picture together, could it be coincidence or the coming together of people of igbo origin which I have often prayed for and imagined. |
Igbos who fail to reinvest in the east choosing to put all their eggs in the Lagos basket should expect more than this. This is only the beginning of the drowning of igbos in the lagoon. For the umpteenth time igbos should start divesting and investing 50% of their investment in the east, there will be nothing more than appealing to some people of igbos coming to shed crocodile tears of how the lost N20m in demolition of shops and houses. |
tsdarkside:30000 igbos were murdered in the North, how is that a headache to you. The nation of Israel is less than 10 million people how does that give Nigerian tribes with higher population an advantage over them. The Jews lost 6 million people in the second world War, how has that diminished their importance when compared to people who did not loose any one. |
tsdarkside:Why are you loosing your peace over another man's headache, is it not the same Nigeria army that is busy with boko haram for several months. |
And most of the owners of the shops are still in the east on holidays. |
Who killed PDP and why was it killed |
princdebola201:there are some industries in Lagos apart from the breweries, aba is the most industrialized city after Lagos, aba has some of the largest industries in Nigeria. Largest canning plant, largest malting plant, gas plant, glass plant, steel plants, shoe clusters, pharmaceutical companies, soap and detergent etc Nnewi has already a car manufacturing plant, gas plant numerous spare parts plants, wire and cable plant, batteries plant, motorcycle manufacturers, brake manufacturers etc Just 1car plant is bigger than numerous pure water factories in some states. |
