You need minimum of 3.5 over 5.0 in MSc before you can apply for Phd.

With MBA getting Phd admission might be difficult. I also have MBA but looking forward to Msc management. My advice is that people should not bother about MBA instead go for MSc, since MSc management can also go for MBA but MBA cannot be seen as MSc in academic terms.

MBA is desired for some career path, it can be use to go for DBA which is also a doctorate degree, however M.sc has a wider scope, not only in the academic but even in career path too.That is why most people go for M.sc...So they can start their Phd any time. I did MBA, after B.sc before M.sc ....

So MBA can land you a job that even Phd will be dreaming of, so it is not a waste.

My dear I have HND, PGD AND MBA. Years back I tried 3 Universities for Phd but was turned down because I have HND. I went back to open university for a Bsc. Am now in my 2nd semester of 400L. Once am done with Bsc even before final result comes out I will quickly register for Msc management with my PGD management because MBA might not also get me a Phd admission.

HND and MBA cannot give you a Phd admission. .

PhD is well recognized in Nigeria especially in public institutions. I do not know about oversea universities.

I think foreign Universities PHDs are also recognised here and u can finish earlier there unlike here that we do experience ASUU strike.

Sometimes,it the school that just make the difference,imagine someone with a Phd from Bradford UK and you have yours from a Naija Uni...

I think it is better to travel to the west for this. Staying in Naija here to do this will waste so much time,with strike,delays from supervisors,problems of sourcing research materials,travelling issues etc.

Is all about making it work... As in committment,the Bible says Faith without work is not enough... The two partners should have Gods grace,widom, trust,respect,transparency,tolerance,faithfulness,discipline,good prayer life,to be able to live together..

Most of our ladies now are carried away by material things...all in the name that they don't want to suffer..

Maybe your husband is using a VWG golf,without ac,no cd player just radio fm and cassette player,he gives say ,20k for monthly upkeeps and a man on Range Rover started giving you a lift,inside a very chilled ac wt good air freshner,good music cd player wt even a dvd,and dash you say 30k without asking,buy u gifts and u are collecting.. There are chances that the man will soon have you in his hands.

Many people are complaining of missing phones,stop and search robbers early morning and nights,car theft,pick pockets,breaking into homes,etc.

If they had taken them out alive,in two ,three days time,they will be out,and become more wicked,dangerous,skilled and even meet some harder one in the cell that could link them to commit more.
People should be more vigilant this Dec season. Many criminals out there. Report any unknown faces,or movement in your area before it is late.

The attraction to this sort of investment is that returns are guaranteed, and the duration of your investment is flexible. In the course of my search for a decent return on my investment, I “burnt” at least N5,000 in credit, calling banks and waiting in queues for information, and was only able to reasonably compare two banks – GTBank and First Bank.

What is a fixed deposit?
A fixed deposit is a lump sum deposited with a bank for a varying period, in exchange for interest.
How to put your money in a fixed deposit: You will need to have an existing account with the bank of your choice, and then you deposit the sum into this account. You will then need to inform your bank of your intention to “fix” the said sum for “X” number of days. It is very important that before you make your decision, that you shop around for the best rates. You are not obliged to fix your money with your existing bank, just because you bank with them. You can earn a significantly higher amount by just picking up the phone. It is the more difficult route when you consider call waiting times, credit spent etc but it is worth it, and what’s more I have done some of this hard work for you.

How long is my money fixed for?
Most banks offer flexible periods of 30 days, 60 days, 90 days, 180 days and one year.

How do I get paid?
Usually, the money is removed from your account and the interest is paid into your account. So for example, you want to fix N500,000 for 60 days and the bank has offered you an interest rate of 7%. You have N550,000 in your account. Once you confirm you’re making the arrangement and sign all the necessary documentation, the N500,000 “disappears” from your account to be “fixed”. At the end of 60 days, you get paid back your original N500,000 + an additional N35,000 interest accrued. A simplified version of what really happens behind the scenes is that the N500,000 is given to another customer who has asked for a loan – but he will be charged 20% interest (or N100,000). After 60 days, you get back your N500,000 + N35,000 (7% interest from the other customers N100,000). Not bad business for banks, if you ask me.

Some notes:

Omissions. I initially wanted to include Accessbank in this exercise, but have been unlucky in getting through to a knowledgeable person on customer service. The frontline staff I have spoken to, all seem to lack basic knowledge regarding what services their banks offer and where to get information outside the limits of their knowledge. I would recommend that training is provided for all front line staff as a matter of urgency, as customers otherwise have no way of getting informed about competitive rates for your most lucrative services.
