Ha ha, thats a good one.

That must be on Wenger's mind,

His new joker card to replace Clichy
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Fans Thread (for Arsenal Fans) by asscend: 3:21pm On Jul 04, 2011
That's the main problem - inability to pay the biggest wages makes Arsenal a less interesting proposition, especially since Citeh also offers CL football now.

Spot on!

For the start of this season, Man city is a bigger proposition than arsenal.

Arsenal fans need to get that fact straight and that bigger players will head for city.

Arsenal is not even guranteed a champions League group stage yet. They could loose their qualifier and Europa footy will be all they have.

alvarez and gervinho, for fabregas and nasri. not bad. exactly the same circle that produced them. woulda preferred alcantara, but then we would have to the the circus all over in a few yrs with barca.

He should be adding to the squad not taking away, thats the issue.  He should have another quality on the bench to come in to replace Naz if his injured etc.

Selling Nazri now is plain stupid.  Give the guy better pay.

Well, i look forward to Naz scoring the last goal that sinks Arsenal to fifth position next season.  Maybe then the writting will be on the wall for Sturbon WEnger and his cohorts (board members),

You can tell the American media is so biased and rinks of racism. If this guy is an American Citizen like the story says, why do they have to mention he was Nigerian?? I mean, he is American, period! If it were a white man from UK with American citizenship, i guarantee u they would not say an American citizen from britain, Why? because they believe they have more in common with the briton and they view him as "their own", Not one black man from the doomed continent Africa!

They played better today. We missed out when we lost to France, it was always going to be a difficult game against the Germans. kudos to the girls, especially our defenders, they played some nice football today. I am impressed.

Is there any chance for us to qualify if we beat Canada like 3-0?

No chance at all. Even if they win 10-0. They are out.

They will only have 3points. Germany and France has 6points already.

Bye bye Falcons,

After bullying Africa they come on the world stage and find out that by strength alone they shall not prevail.

They still lack certain tecnical aspect especially in ball possesion.

I don't know if it has to do with the kind of pitches they use in Naija which tends to slow the ball down and wen it comes to the international stage the pitch is different and the ball is fast.

Anyone that watched that match will see that passing was a no no for the Falcons,

The guy is also an American because he has an American passport but trust the media to immediately claim he is Nigerian only so it will give Naija a bad name.

Thank God he did not have any bomb but only exposed their security laxity.

Yes he had different expired boarding passes and probably been flying free for a while until he was caught.

America sought your laxity out and call him yours as well.

Fans are talking about signings Arsenal might just be about to sell Nasri and Fab for a combined fee of £60million pounds.

Man city has offered £20million for Nasri and £180grand a week in salary.  Boy that salary will turn his head big time and will make him sign with them sharp sharp.

Hmm guys watch this space.  Wengay will take that money quick.  Spend 20million for 4 players and return £40millon to broke Arsenal.

I think Arsenal fans should get used to the fact that Arsenal is now Ajax and Porto that sell their top players to balance the books.  The only difference is that the above mentioned clubs win trophies even though they sell their best players.

Ibime:

I just hope these ridiculous transfer rumours following AVB is all media speculation.

Why do Chelsea wait till a player is overvalued before showing interest?

Wesley Sneijder spent all summer 2009 waiting for an interested party before Inter copped him for £13m. Now Chelsea could bid up to £40m for the same player.

Falcao was on the market 2 summers ago for £4m and Liverpool turned their noses up at him, allowing him to go to Porto, when they had been chasing him all summer. Now Chelsea showing interest to the tune of £25m.

Joao Moutinho (poor man's Modric/Valero - and one of Nateevs "Lampard-replacements"wink flopped in Sporting, was available for £9m last summer, now being quoted at £35m to join Chelsea, in order to do nothing but pass ball in midfield with sum total of 2 goals and 2 assists per season.

One would think Chelsea scouts sit in their office playing with their testicles all day. . . . . or in reality, mad man Roman does what he wants, when he wants. . . with his limited knowledge of footie, whilst the likes of Ron Gourlay dictate transfer policy.

You are right on the points raised; however the fact to all arguments about Chelsea is that it is owned by a billionaire who does what he feels like.  Money is not the object here as the money he spends in a season is what he makes in 2 business deals.

If you want to begin to reason why this or why that, my brov it will blow your mind so relax and enjoy what is served up from Stamford bridge.  From buying Toys(players) at well inflated prices to hireing and sacking managers at ridiculous amounts of compensations.  Its only from Stamford bridge.

One thing is sure the club is run from the yatch on one of the gulf seas.  Afterall he is the owner and not just the owner a wealthy owner,

After all the promises and blabbing about summer signings to strengthen the defence, im surprised that Wenger is yet to secure the signature of either Cahill or Samba and now I hear about Tottenham and other clubs becoming interested in Cahill. When it comes to financial tussle for a player, Arsenal cannot compete and I'm scared we might just loose out on our top transfer targets and end up signing a couple more "Squillachi-like" defenders from France. AW is just so dull when it comes to transfer dealings.

Do you really think he will buy these players or one of them?

Not the maradona of signings called Wenger who dribbles Arsenal fans when it comes to club signings and at the end of the day are served with comedians not footballers for their delight.

NYMAR AND PASTORE TO UNDERGO MEDICAL!!!!

Arsenal's new No9 and 10respectively at a cost of £70million are set to have a medical in a few days time in london. The signings are backed by Usmanov's billons who on monday increased his shares in the club and could be seen as a move to also gain control of the club.

Reports have it that Wenger is furious with the signings as they are already world class players (Wenger buys academy players for peanuts) and that its imoral to pay 40millon pounds for one player; eventhough its morally right to sell an arsenal player for that amount.

He (wenger) will be meeting the board later this week to voice his concearns about this development and try to stop it, as he already has 3 academy players lined up for £1.87millon. its unclear if Usmanov will be at the meeting as he is currently in Norway on a business trip.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (A New Strength, A New Hope). by asscend: 5:40pm On May 09, 2011
I hope Arsenal fans can protest in the stadium and put some kind of pressure on their manager to make the necessary changes. Not much but sign 3 key players which every one knows the team needs.

However; Foot ball is business and for Arsenal the retuns are very good.

All of us saying this and that, its not getting to the board because the Returns are good.

Its all about the Benjamins.

Season ticket has gone up, new kit is coming out or is already out and the same complaining fans will still pay for tickets and buy the kit and go and sit down like mugus and watch same performance season in season out.

Arsene does not have a winners mentality, his got a process mentality and thats what his doing and doing it well. This man is more sturbon than the former french coach who disgraced France in the world cup. Everyone can see the problem but Arsene Wenger refuses to acknowledge it and change it.

Arsenal will never win a trophy until Wenger goes. He reminds me of Moses who brought the children of Israel out of Egypt but could not enter the Promised Land. It had to take Joshua to take them in,

So guys until a new man comes in it will be the same story season in season out. 'Getting close but never reching the destination'.

Business / Re: Powdered beer business idea - Please discuss by asscend: 3:37am On Feb 09, 2011
Costing will play a major part- How much will it cost from a conventional beer can or bottle.

You also need to think of many negatives,

Remember that when its in powdered form you still need a drinking glass and water and if you cant find these two things no beer.

This will boost underage drinking as kids can hide it in their pocket and drink it later (they are still doing it with bottles and cans how much more with satchet).

There are many advantages and disadvantages to this product; how ever you need to test it in the public first and fast.

Take the product to beer parlours and other naija joints and do your survey there. Get first hand info from original drinkers. They will know a good product when they taste it and you know the Naija perception, if its from Yankee its top top.

All the best!

Did you say you've spent up to 4million pounds?

Boy that is way too much & your still researching? If i was a investor i would have sent you packing as i would tell you not to waste any more money on the project.

However; by the looks of it you have been asked to do a market research for the beer company.

Naijacutee broke it down for you.

It will sell big time as pple can carry it in their pockets and when they want to drink they put it in water.
