European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Birmingham (1) Vs Arsenal (1), Sat 27th March from 4PM Local Time by asscend: 9:11pm On Mar 27, 2010
GLORY! GLORY! MAN UNITED. Teams fear you whereever you go and you never fail to BATTER them. You go for goals and not necessarily fancy foot work.

Arsenal can play but lack killer instinct again and again. Fancy foot work is good but there must be end products.

The fact today is that Arsenal was punished for not scoring more goals and this has been an issue in the latter part of this season.

Can Arsenal still win the title? Hmmmmmmmm, i don't think so. United or Chelsea's goal diffrence will nail Arsenal. Sorry my dear gunners.

A 25 goal a seson striker is urgently needed otherwise it will be the same story next season.

Business / Re: Setting Up Automatic Car Wash I.e. Car Washing Machine by asscend: 9:37pm On Mar 25, 2010
You might need to partner with petrol stations to get this working effectively.

Like has been said above; power is very critical. I dont want to be washing my car and its stuck in the machine b/c PHCN has struck.

Its capital intensive, you might use that money to set up 5 big manual car wash with over 70 people employed.

Think carefully of the viability of this type of business in Naija and not just b/c it sounds really nice and funky.

Afterall people still go to manual car washes in Europe and America b/c its the best form of washing your car.

i dont want to discourage you. Just think carefully b4 u plough so much money into a project.

Whichever happens, pls come back and tell us on your progress.

All the best!

Hey, your idea is awesome.

Please go ahead with full speed b4 some one else does.

Your location is great as there are a lot of young consumers; however cost of production might be more.

From PC games you can go into PS and Nintendo games.

You said you have funding, so fire on,
Politics / Re: Nigeria Is Now Ranked 33rd Biggest Economy Among Nations by asscend: 6:13pm On Mar 16, 2010
33rd Great, Whats the way forward?

Lets discuss how to move forward and not stay on all the negatives.

We are very good at talking, some even start fighting, Mr Poster and all who abuse others on threads, i pray you never get to Senate or house of Rep because  you will start boxing other reps for not agreeing with your views.

The key things we must demand from our Govt are; Electricity and good transportation links - by this i mean good roads, train links, water transport etc.

These are vital to opening up productivity as a nation.
Politics / Re: Bankole Isnt Bankable! by asscend: 4:01pm On Mar 16, 2010
Younger politicians will make a diffrence when the institutions they belong function properly.

The process of seleting our leaders have to change.

They need to be voted,

This brings us back to having credible elections.

I beleive in the youths, its our time,

The old men are shaking, power is slipping away,
Politics / Re: Nigerian Youths Get Angry As They Match To The National Assembly. by asscend: 3:46pm On Mar 16, 2010
i think we need to start a campaign on foreing medias around the world on all our criminal leaders.

we will name them one by one and tell the whole world their crimes of thiefry.

Only when this is done will they wake up and run away from office.

This works big time.

The thing is; only in Nigeria will our leaders refuse to resign from office until they are either killed or kicked out by force.
Politics / Re: Divide Nigeria In Two, Says Muammar Gaddafi by asscend: 3:39pm On Mar 16, 2010
Gadaffi thank you but no thanks.

The issue is we are paying the price of exaulting men instead of institutions to which they belong.

The office of the precidency  is bigger than one man.

This whole thing is comming up b/c of one sick man, nonsense.

Pls Goodluck run the country and Nigerians should get behind him,

The more we wait the more the rest of the world leaves us behind.

TIME IS IMPORTANT in Nation building,

Where is the budget?

Ha ha ha; Naija, create ways to syphone money,

The truth will come out one day. We will know where the funds went,

That day is from now wen the criminals would be confessing of their loots, some will die b/c of lack of hospitals they refused to build in our country,

Don't cry for Nigeria, weep for the corrupt leaders for their distruction is at hand.
Politics / Re: 2011 Presidency: Name Your Winning Duo by asscend: 8:34pm On Mar 15, 2010
if the North imposes another one on Nigeria, he will vanish like yaradua. Its a fact,

Let a lesson be learnt that any self imposition of leadership will lead to elimination of such a person. Remember i said it.

If the North says they must rule, i laugh, Jst see whats going on. Same for south.

We want the right person voted by all Nigerians regardless of state,
Business To Business / Re: Cheaper Rice From Thailand, $25 Per Bag by asscend: 6:49pm On Mar 15, 2010
i have cheaper rice from Abakeleke, its home grown and stone free.

i also have from Bayelsa and Lokoja.

Intrested, go to these regions and start farming.

When are we going to look in wards to feed our nation?

Import this import that.

Its so easy to starve Nigeria, just place an embargo on Naija and starvation will set in. Kai even sugar is imported, Lord have mercy.

Mr Poster, i am not trying to spoil your business in anyway, you are actually helping to feed Nigerians as the demand is too much, as you make money from importation also remember you can make even more from exportation.
Politics / Re: Double Trouble - Ibori Faces New Investigation On Corruption by asscend: 6:21pm On Mar 15, 2010
its only a matter of time, corrupt men will be exposed.

Their loot will not be forever (Remember Abacha).

Lets build credible institutions in our country; thatway; the system of loot will be checkmated.

Boy!!!!! 170 counts charge is a lot for one man. Hmmmmmm, Ibori ohhhhhh, EFCC should keep at it.

Mr Poster, why did'nt you go and see the pastor and tell him your griviances? i tot he is your pastor?

You rather choose to air your ignorance by hideing under the platform of nairaland.

Be bold and tell the pastor or leadership there the things you have raised.

I have always said that if you don't want to give, don't give. Stop getting upset with those that give.

Anyway all of you that complain about giving to churches, keep your money, its only a matter of time it will disapear; recession have not thought you a lesson?

Sickness is not far off, if you dont give in church you will spend it on drugs. Either way you would have given the money.

i hope so; however i blame information miss road for this one.

Such an event should be very well publicised tru the radio stations and warn the traders to vacate.

Notices should have been passed to every one as to the time frame for demolition.

This hear say is not working. We must learn to be specific when info is passed.

Lagos Lagos, the shanty town is fast becoming a mega city.

Politics / Re: Nigerians March To Demand Ailing Leader's Appearance by asscend: 3:45pm On Mar 10, 2010
EGYPT IS A GOOD EXAMPLE.

THE FACT REMAINS THAT YARADUA LEFT IN A HURRY SO HE COULD NOT HAND OVER. (HE WAS  TOO SICK)

THE SENATE DID THE RIGHT THING.

THERE ARE CORRUPT PEOPLE TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THE SITUATION

SUCH ONES ARE TO BE FISHED OUT AND JAILED.

EVEN IF YARADUA COMES BACK HE SHOULD BE QUESTIONED IN THE SENATE AND IN MY OPINION IMPEACHED FOR HAVING CORRUPT ADVISERS WHO KEPT LIEING TO THE NATION.

YARADU IS INDIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SITUATION; REMEMBER HE EMPLOYED THOSE CRIMINALS.

DEMOCRACY IS GOOD. PEOPLE CAN PROTEST ON WHAT THEY WANT TO PROTEST ABOUT.

OTHER GROUPS CAN DO WHAT YOU SAID, SOMEONE ORGANISED THIS ONE FOR A SPECIFIC PURPOSE.
Politics / Re: Lets Rally Round To Support Donald Duke For President Come 2011 by asscend: 3:21pm On Mar 10, 2010
PDP WILL BRING SOME ONE LIKE DONALD DUKE TO RUN ALONG SIDE SOME ONE FROM THE NORTH.

SAME STRATEGY THEY DID IN ANAMBRA.

IF THEY DO THIS, VOTES WILL BE SPLIT; HOWEVER NIGERIANS ARE TIRED OF PDP.

NIGERIANS, ALL I AM ASKING IS THAT WE MUST GET RID OF PDP AT EVERY COST.

WE HAVE YOUNG AND GREAT BRAINS TO LEAD THIS COUNTRY AND NOT THOSE OLD RECYCLED LEADERS.

WHERE ARE THOSE RUNNING FOR PRESIDENCY, NOW IS THE TIME TO START CAMPAIGNING, WE DON'T HAVE TIME ANY MORE.  OR WILL THIS ELECTION BE ANOTHER LAST MINUTE THING?  NO,

PDP WE ARE READY TO SWEEP YOU OUT OF POWER; DONALD DUKE GO TO ANOTHER PARTY IF NOT YOU WILL FAIL LIKE SOLUDO,

Business / Re: How To Run An Icecream Outlet by asscend: 6:55pm On Mar 01, 2010
Is this for production of ice cream or sales consumption?

You need to state what type you are intrested in.

Do you want to make ice cream like Wall's and sell to shops or do you want to sell ice cream like Mr BiGG's in cones?
Business / Re: *URGENT URGENT* fashion retail merchandising FOR NEW STORES ACCROSS NIGERIA by asscend: 6:30pm On Mar 01, 2010
An aluminium shop in Naija can design ur hanging poles.

Its all about giving them the measurements.

The only thing is you will have to police every hanging pole made.

Don't waste too much money for now on over presentation; start and grow it.

On less your opening it in a massive 500million naira building; hence the need for all that.

If its a shop or two shops, the idea you have is more than enough to make it the best clothing shop in the area.

Go girl; you can do it. Enjoy every bit!
Business / Re: I Want To Start An Ibo Restaurant In London And I Need Your Advice by asscend: 6:10pm On Mar 01, 2010
You will be Limiting yourself by calling it an Igbo restaurant.

Why not add the dishes you mentioned alongside other Nigerian dishes, that way you cater for the tastes of everyone.

Don't Limit yourself by the location, you can have your joint in Grovsnor square and still be in business.

The Nigerian restaurant in Clapton (East London) closed down b/c of low patronage; so be warned

If Chinese shops limited themselves to china town only, they will not have attained the Number 1 position they occupy in the UK; thus outselling Idian cusine.

Make your food joint appealing to all races and cultures and not the trend seen with many Nigerian resturants in the UK where the food is great but the presentation will never appeal to anyone apart from Naija people.

This way you sell more and increase the influence of Naija food all over the UK. Remember we are rebranding.

All the best!

He surrounds himself with the right brains.

Proud of his country and beleives in the potential of his country.

While others think its all about selling infastructures to foreigners he thinks about foreigners working for him and making projects truely Naija.

Business / Re: Corporate Sponsorship Needed by asscend: 6:32pm On Feb 22, 2010
What state or country are you based in?

In other countries, you could get lottry funding but if ur in Naija hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

You can start by staging a little competion in your village or city where you are, invite people and ask them to bet that you can do this or not do this.

By the time you tell them you can break a brick with your head, they will dout you and put in 50thousand naira. You beat them to it and pocket the money.

Thats funding coming your way.

Your fame will increase and b4 you know it, sponsors will be clamouring for you.

Anyway you can send a picture of yourself or what you can do, i might be willing to stage a competion for you.

My percentage is 25 percent of all your future earnings. cheesy cheesy cheesy
