Politics / Re: Terrorism - I Did Not Exonerate Mend -jonathan by astuto: 11:44pm On Oct 08, 2010
Look eh, GEJ is my candidate for this upcoming Presidential elections.  But the truth must be said, if we are to move forward as a nation. What he said on TV ( I watched it the day he said it) was very silly and, if na small pikin talk am,  i for call dat pikin IDIOT.

I mean, Your Excellency, What were u thinking when u said that MEND cannot be behind it because they cannot oppose a president from the south south?

That statement was soo bad, as in, very wrong.

In this country we try to unite, and this man is saying that people's loyalties are strictly to those from their geopolitical zone? That was a very retrogressive remark. OMG!! angry angry angry angry angry angry angry

We are struggling day by day to blur out ethnic differences, and a man who wants to lead us comes up with this remark? No, naaa.  GEJ, u fail dat one abeg; make i no lie give you.

That being said, we should not turn our backs on him becos of hasty, dumb remarks made under duress. He is d best candidate so far. He listens to Nigerians. I think he's the right person for president, come 2011.

Religion / Re: Tb Joshua Banned In Cameroun by astuto: 7:17pm On Oct 03, 2010
I am an Anglican and I have this to say:

One thing is sure, TB Joshua does many acts which I think our Lord Jesus Christ would be pleased to see us do.

Imagine the Cameroonian Govt condemning the giving of gifts to the poor? they should listen to themselves.

For those people who say the miracles at TB Joshua's church are of the Devil, i have a question: WHY? Can't Jesus perform miracles again? Must it be the devil?

For those who say the miracles are fake, know this: Some people have gone to the Synagogue Church and recieved healing, others have gone but have failed to get healed. I have seen this for a fact.

I wish to warn everyone about the way they put down, castigate, and ridicule every man of God in this country. There is no exception. Today it is TB Joshua at the top of the Hate List, tomorrow it definitely shall be another. Such hate is inspired of the Devil.

If you are a true Child of God, you shall know when the Devil has spoken through you. Search your Hearts Today.
Politics / Re: Mend Threatens Bomb Attack In Abuja by astuto: 1:47pm On Oct 01, 2010
Let us read between the lines here:

The bomb blasts hit places around eagle square, without hitting the Eagle Square itself. Was there something that MEND were avoiding in the Eagle Square? President Jonathan? Maybe
Secondly, the security agents in Abuja have shown that anywhere in Nigeria can be penetrated by anyone whenever the person wants. A shame @ 50 years.
Family / Re: Say Something To Your Mum by astuto: 6:59am On Sep 21, 2010
Dear Mother, the only reason I would rate God before you in my life is because it is He who provided you for me in the first place.

I love you, Mum. I love you beyond comprehension.
Politics / Re: Abdulmutallab Fires Us Lawyers ! by astuto: 4:48pm On Sep 15, 2010
The boy is a common terrorist; it's a huge shame that he is from our beloved Nigeria. Maybe he was even a member of Nairaland  grin
He should get the full treatment accorded terrorists. I am surprised that they (U.S) are still looking at him.  They should just get all the info they need from him, and either stash him in jail for life, or execute him.

I believe every true Nigerian has disowned him by now. Spoilt brat/ Terrorist scum!  angry angry angry

Politics / Re: Contempt: Onovo Defies Court Again ! by astuto: 5:29pm On Sep 03, 2010
Ogbonna -RoosterDrinker-Onovo. A total shame to the police profession. A common thug who has no regard for the law. What lesson does he want the populace to learn from his action?

He has gotten a national award, only to allow flagrant corruption among the police ( approx. 1400 checkpoints in the south east alone). and pple are getting killed everyday in Anambra, Abia and Lagos.

FG should put a 'shoot on sight' order on his head. Useless Dog.

I Hate You, Onovo, Die and Rot in Hell, Motherfu cker.
Politics / Re: Babangida Is Begining To Make Sense by astuto: 12:26am On Aug 21, 2010
@ CG King, don't mind the fellow. There are some people who just ignore their consciences. We don't have to spend more time on this guy's thread. He's just looking for who will trade words with him, by making such incendiary comments. I am not even sure he means them.

Abeg, ferari90, I have better things to do than reply your comments or trade words with you. I am sorry, but I have given u all the time I can spare the likes of you, okay? You can't erase the truth, no matter what IBB has to say on TV, so cry me a river. See u on some other thread, or better still, after the 2011 elections. grin.
Politics / Re: Babangida Is Begining To Make Sense by astuto: 3:45pm On Aug 20, 2010
ferari90:

May you live long to become visible one day

AMEN

@ Ferari90, you are so dry. you think that was a wisecrack? (Hiss).

So, my people, what we should pray for, and indeed do our little bit for, is credible and fair elections. That's all we need. Then shall we know whether up to 10 people (excluding his family members) want IBB as our president. We'll brush him aside. No need to lose sleep over the issue.
Computers / Re: Finally I Got The Set Up For The Zain #500 For 6month by astuto: 7:05am On Jul 16, 2010
@ Real 14all, I bought mine for 1500 naira. How much do u want to buy it off me? I must warn u however, that this plan is best for easy, light browsers, not for heavy downloaders like me , hence the slight tone of regret in my voice (LOL), but it visits all sites and supports everything that internet supports.

So if u need it, just say so here. We'll transact. If u need my phone numbr, say so too. Cheers.

Letter of Apology from Kaita:
Fellow Nigerians,
I am sorry for my earlier action today. I thought i was protected. I heard that there were 64 PDP senators on hand to back me up, so i acted in full Sharia might.
I meant to break his leg, but i did not get it well.
I have heard that my repeated inclusion for 90 minutes is opposed by many back home, but dont mind them. they're mainly southerners who are jealous of my right in Super Eagles' Federal character scheme.
Thank you for your understanding. I promise to do the Nation proud and score in the next match which i know i'll play (we shall bribe FIFA to overturn the red card) and collect my 100,000USD.
Long live Nigeria.

@ ruba slipa,

Guy/girl (LOL), what is your own argument all about? Are u a fagg*ot or are u just seeking attention? Please if you dont want to take a stand, just shut up or go someplace else!
If u r trying to suck up to the gays on this forum, you are among men MOST MISERABLE.

Who talked about beating women? or killiing twins? Are you so bereft of ideas that you are trying to change the subject? Daftie. Imagine. left-handers. What depths wouldn't poor debater stoop to?
I wish Nairaland had a way of screening off Lunatics like you who just type without a goal in mind. Psychedelic fella.
Advice for you: if and when your wife bears a gay son/daughter, Disown it (him/her grin)!

Pls can some one tell me, is IDM 5.19 faster than 5.18? I mean, from experience? i would really like to know cos i am using IDM 5.18 at present. Do i need to change, or is there no difference?
Culture / Re: What Is Your Take On Homosexualism? by astuto: 7:15am On Jun 05, 2010
Look, my fellow Nairalanders, Don't be afraid to tell these strays the truth.

Homosexuality is bad, bad, bad. Discourage it wherever u see it.

Look eh, they want a situation where people will be afraid to talk about it, while it silently proliferates and spreads.

Guess what? that ain't gonna happen, cuz we right here. NL is a place for free expression, but with the goal being upholding the truth.

Damned fa*ggots!
Computers / Re: I Just Got My Laptop; What Antivirus Is Better? by astuto: 6:41am On Jun 05, 2010
The Best antiviruses available are:
1. BitDefender Antivirus
2. Kaspersky Antivirus
3. Webroot Antivirus with Spy sweeper

The list is long. but those are the current top 3.

Actually, i suggest u use an internet security suite, not an antivirus. It kind of combines the best of antivirus, with many other features not seen in an antivirus, e.g. the ability to let you use a personal firewall, lets you know when any attempt is made to gain access to a program (even the operating system, or BIOS etc) and stops it or gives u a choice to allow or not. Mind u, an internet security takes up more memory than the corresponding antivirus. It's a suite(collection of software) so what else d'you expect?

To cut a long boring story short, i use KIS (Kaspersky internet Security). It's rated #2. I was using the Kaspersky antivirus, but i stepped up cos i go online and connect to different LANs a lot. U can download it online and make sure u get a license for it.

ola olabiy:

^^^^^^thanks for being sincere.

it is not easy to just forget some ex's. talk of 'true', youthful relationtionship/intimacy.

Nobody's saying to forget anybody. It's just dat borrowing money from an ex always comes with a sense of indebtedness. (if not anything, the money u took grin). The fear is that the ex (male or female) might wanna take advantage of the borrower and you know what comes next.

I see this thread has been taken over by Homosexuals.

Damned gays! angry angry angry

They think clever argument will mask who they truly are: depraved sexual perverts.  Any argument can come up to defend trash. That's why we have debates.

Don't worry, at this rate, someday incest and paedophilia, will be tolerated in many quarters.

Again I say, Damned gays. angry angry angry
Family / Re: Should A Married Lady Ask Her Very Rich Ex-boy Friend For Finaicial Assistance? by astuto: 9:58pm On Jun 04, 2010
The wife can explore other options, before going to beg the ex-boyfriend. Chances are there'll still be feelings of hurt, regret, or maybe even love (lust grin) remaining btw the lady and her ex-boyfriend. So no need stirring that up.

What is she borrowing for anyway? I smell laziness,
Politics / Re: Leave Yarima Alone - Women Tell Naptip by astuto: 6:27pm On May 28, 2010
Oh, yes! I am so happy with the responses i am seeing to this post. Those women are a complete disgrace to the true Nigerian woman, who is otherwise a complete, free-minded, independent being. I am so glad Nairalanders have seen those women for who they are: worthless, mindless, dumbass greedy illiterate fellows, who have blinded themselves to plain truth.
I love Nairaland for it's objectiveness. smiley
I dey feel us well well o. Keep up the good work, people!

the girl dressed the way she was because it enables her move freely. She's not the only one.
Is the problem the flesh-colored nature or was it the fact that it showed in the first place?

Don't u people see 100m dash athletes? why doesn't anyone complain about theirs? even the men?

Let's relate form with function here.
Politics / Re: Hundreds Flock To Nigeria In Search Of Food by astuto: 6:04am On May 25, 2010
My fellow Nairalanders,

Please i want to start by being objective here. I have noted some Anti-North remarks above, namely how the infllux of Nigeriens is a ploy to increase the overall population of the northern Nigerian states, esp Katsina. that may be very false. It is a known fact that Nigeria's land borders are very porous and pple come in from outside almost at will. Please don't make it look different when it occurs in the Northern border with, moreso in a hunger-driven crisis as we have all seen.

About the Nigeriens who are coming in, what should be done is:
1. Build or provide temporary shelters for them to aid their resuscitation and rehabilitation
2. Make sure that all Nigeriens who enter are accounted for in these shelters, and ensure a proper head count, with entry of fingerprints and photos into a database that shall immediately be set up.
3. After providing these our neighbors with food and health care, to send them peacefully back to their country at a time agreed upon by the two governments. They can't live here forever, unless they want to naturalize which is not why they came here.
Culture / Re: What Is So Wrong With Being Left Handed by astuto: 6:54pm On May 20, 2010
Errrr, forgive me if i didnt look at all the replies to this post, but did anyone mention THE CULTURAL IMPLICATION OF LEFT-HANDEDNESS THAT MAKES IT A NEAR-TABOO? pls dont just say "it's according to our culture" and stuff like that, but we would like the real reason, pleeease. Thanks.
