It will take at leat 10 generations before Lagos slips away from Ndi Yoruba.

Look at all this time Ndigbo were block voting in Lagos, a few of them got to State House and went to Abuja.

Just this one time, in the last LG elections, that Ndi Yoruba decided to block vote for a change, as a result of Obidients lack of decorum, see what happened.

Sadly there is more of this to come, Ndi Yoruba have the numbers and will do so for a long time yet. Don't forget the only people coming to Lagos to settle for good nowadays are Yoruba, other tribes are simply using it as a stepping stone to go abroad.

Western Region, a Yoruba region, developed a good chunk of Lagos. Lagos state, a Yoruba state carved out of Western Region, developed all of Lagos.

I call Governor Sanwo-Olu a perfect gentleman. If not that he's being controlled by Escóbar, that man would've done much more in Lagos. That's why many Lagosians are fighting to boot out APC from Alausa so people would know how much the state is truly worth (because so much is being looted), but APC is deploying every trick in the book to stay in power, including the use of bigotry and thuggery.

The same APC, or whatever they were in their previous incarnation, that Obasanjo couldn't shift when he was flooding Yorubaland with his PDP governor tsunami. I doubt now that President Tinubu is in charge, APC are losing Lagos state.

Add onto that, the Obidient poor behaviour post Obi victory in Lagos state and generally perceived Anti Yoruba stance, particularly on social media, by them, I really can't see APC losing Lagos state for the foreseeable future.

They don't even have to try anymore. Look at street naming BS for example (and it is BS), if this had happened pre-Obidients, all Lagosians would have cried out as one, sadly Obidients have ensured disunity and dustrust amongst neighbours.

Clearly, we have a situation in Yorubaland where proper due diligence is no longer done by the King makers.

Once you have spent time abroad and are able to put some money down somewhere, your royal ties suddenly evaluate you to a position you don't deserve.

Sadly this is the way of the world right now. Whilst royalty in Yorubaland needs modernisation somewhat with younger, more vibrant people dragging it away from the "fetishcentric" nature, I think the wrong ones are creeping into it now.

In Yorubaland normally, bad behaviour by Kings causing deposition is punishable by death, obviously this won't be acceptable nowadays so maybe that needs to change.

There should be scope to remove this fraudster (and the Oluwo) and replace them without the ultimate penalty being paid.

This is an interesting question that I will attempt to answer.

I believe that, as a Yoruba person, the longer you live in a place in Yorubaland that your forefathers migrated to, the more likely you can claim indigineship of that state.

Because of opportunities created by Western Region, a lot of Yoruba people migrated to Lagos and Ibadan particularly, thier descendants are now reaping the benefits of that migration in being able to take part in the politics as indigines.

For Lagos in particular, it's indiginous populace were very open and welcoming to people from other tribes in that they used to vote them in to State House and Abuja to represent them (e.g Remi Tinubu). In fact, Ibo people were sent to represent Lagos constituencies in Western Region in the first republic so nor bi today.

Sadly, a lot of Obidient bad behaviour, including needless taunting and goading after Peter Obí won Lagos state, on social media has ensured all of that has been reversed. Now only Yoruba people are in state house and being sent to Abuja by Lagos state as a result.

To complete the answer to your question, for an Ègún or Awori person that migrated to Ekiti state two generations ago, his or her descendant born and brought up there will be able to put themselves forward for elective position. The problem is that not many migrate to other parts of Yorubaland, particularly Lagosians as why would they?

This is solely my take anyway.

I doubt this advice will work, the ones that don't bring anything to the table are entitled, is it the one that is bringng a lot that won't be?

It was possible because the south east is still within the country.
If the south east stood on their own without any external influences the issue would have been tackled long ago.
It's just like saying someone of that nature is disturbing the state of Israel, it won't take them 24hrs settle the matter.

Having said that, sínce the Civil war, Anioma have distanced themselves from Ndigbo somewhat. However, since Peter Obi turned up, that has changed and it's not (necessarily) a bad thing. This I can say from my circle of friends and acquaintances so might not be totally correct.

I am not sure Anioma currently has the influence to get their own state, like you said Maryam helped carve up Bendel and ensure Asaba got the state capital ahead of Warri, so they might end up in Anambra state.

Outside of the little 50k, 100k there that this man used to send to me (I don’t know how much he gives my parent — In law, by the way ), he’s never thought of establishing me in business or find a way for me to join my sister in Canada.

Even most times you have to remind him before he send the pittance he sent to me. Last week, I told him to find a way for me to join my sister in Canada, and he said he’s still paying for the debt he took for my sister to join him and he want to send her to school also. Meanwhile I didn’t know this. Okay then I can wait. After then I told him to find me a bulk sum so I can start some business. He asked how much and I said 5M naira would be enough, he cut the phone, called him back and send him msg on WhatsApp which he read and didn’t reply. I called my sister and told her what her husband did and she said she will talk to him.
