PoliticsRe: The Rise Of Anti-migrant Protests In The UK: My Opinion by aswani(m): 10:05pm On Sep 17, 2025
Mrchippychappy:
Not excusing it, my original post was more focused on an argument based on religious and culturally accepted practices and my belief that the values from the middle east shouldn't truncate the values in the UK. However, read through the post again and you would clearly see that I called out western racism.

My point is this, what good is it to stand shoulder to shoulder with other so called POCs in the fight against the big bad white man, when at the end of the day, most of those same POCS would turn around and join the big bad white man to discriminate against black people in ways that are sometimes even worse than the racism from the white man? Most black people be the champion for everyone else's struggle while neglecting their own issues?
I saw you suggest you agreed with the far right is why I was concerned.

You have not being asked to join anyone who is worse, if people put it front and centre, as was done last weekend, rail against it.

You are not fighting for South East Asian rights in the UK for them to build mosques or hindu temples, it is your rights that are at stake when the far right start baring their fangs.

Mrchippychappy:
As someone who once believed in equality for all, I have come to see the flaw in that belief system as many who the black diaspora and Africans have fought for in the past, have as much disdain for us black people as those who we fought against on their behalf.

I am now more concerned about the wellbeing of the black man rather than that of other races who have as much ( if not more) hatred for the blackman. This habit of sweeping racism in the Islamic world under the carpet while flashing the spotlight on Western racism has to stop, religion should not make a group of people beyond criticism and that is the problem I have with some Muslims.

What is right is right, if we must (and yes we must) criticize and fight against racism from Europeans then we must also do the same for the Arab and Islamic world.
You won't get any arguments from me about Arab and Persian racism. It still doesn't mean you should excuse Caucasian ones by saying "one is worse than the other".
PoliticsRe: The Rise Of Anti-migrant Protests In The UK: My Opinion by aswani(m):
Mrchippychappy:
I am all for diversity and anti racism, however many in that crowd screaming against "racism" such as the middle easterns and South East Asians would treat a black man worse than a dog.

Their religion and culture enforces the belief that the place of a black man is beneath them and the only reason why they are being vocal now is because for the first time in their lives they are on the receiving end of racism. Many of these are also predators who regularly assault underage children as that type of behaviour is normal in their culture and religion.

And then there's the case of the "anti-racism" protesters from the middle east calling for sharia in their communities. I remember having this discussion with a british friend who was virtue signalling, I told him I come from a country where there are two systems in a region of that country, the sharia and the government system, how does one determine which supercedes the other, he didn't have an answer (mind you this same liberal clown of a guy was trying to compare the so called struggle of LGBT to centuries of racism, thats a talk for another day), long story short, you cannot come into another person's country and ask to burn down their constitution and replace it with Sharia law, you are free to go to Gaza, Yemen, Pakistan, Somalia, Iraq, Afghanistan or Bangladesh , they have sharia in those places.

I never thought I would see the day when I would be on the side of the white nationalists but well, here we are. Believe it or not, there is a lesser evil and in this case, based on my experience with both sides, the lesser evil are the whites. Trust me you have not experienced racism, hate and religious intolerance until you spend time around middle Eastern and South East Asian people.

If you don dey UK for some time, you go know wetin I dey talk. If you know you know.
You appear to have a problem with South East Asians and Muslims in the UK. Just bear in mind that those racists are not saying you are different, they are lumping you all together in their hatred of those that look different to them.

Also, if people didn't push back against slavery, and African Americans didn't push back against institutionalised racism, guess what you will still be? Some states in the US South actually had laws that made it a criminal offence for black people to be educated past primary level.

Are black or non white people perfect, no. Do some try to game the system, yes. Do whites not do the same, yes and even worse so.

To paraphrase :
They came for the Muslims, I said nothing.
They came for the Indians, I said nothing.
They came for the Gays, I said nothing.

When they came for me, there was no one to say anything.

PoliticsRe: Tinubu FBI Drug Probe Files and The $2.7 Million Fight To Keep Them Sealed by aswani(m): 6:14pm On Sep 15, 2025
ZaraBae:
Tinubu FBI drug probe file: Nigerian President turns to U.S. courts, lobbyists, and PR firms to block release of decades-old investigation records.

In a Washington D.C. federal courthouse this September, lawyers representing Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu filed yet another motion to stop American law enforcement agencies from releasing records about him. It was the latest salvo in a two-year legal battle that has cost millions, fought not in Nigeria, but in the United States.

At stake are FBI and DEA files tied to a 1990s heroin trafficking investigation in Chicago that allegedly implicated Tinubu, then a rising politician. The fight underscores how African leaders are increasingly using Western courts, lobbyists, and PR firms to shield themselves from accountability back home.

Inside the 1990s Drug Probe

The controversy stems from a 1993 U.S. Department of Justice investigation detailed in court affidavits by FBI Agent Kevin Moss. According to those documents, Tinubu’s U.S. bank accounts held more than $1.4 million suspected of being proceeds from a heroin trafficking operation run by Nigerian nationals Abiodun Agbele and Mueez Adegboyega Akande.

The probe ended with Tinubu forfeiting $460,000 to U.S. authorities, funds the government alleged were “traceable to exchanges for controlled substances.” He was never criminally indicted, but the civil forfeiture was legally treated as drug-linked money.

For decades, these facts have been public. What remains sealed are the full investigative files—potentially containing witness statements, charging deliberations, and details of cooperation with U.S. authorities.

The FOIA Case

The current battle began in 2022 when Aaron Greenspan, founder of PlainSite.org, filed Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests seeking complete FBI, DEA, and CIA files on Tinubu. Nigerian journalist David Hundeyin supported the effort, part of a civil society push to use U.S. transparency laws where those of Nigeria fail.

Initially, the agencies issued “Glomar responses”, neither confirming nor denying the existence of records. That changed on April 8, 2025, when U.S. District Judge Beryl Howell ruled that the agencies could no longer plausibly withhold documents after … Follow link for more - https://justafricanews.com/tinubu-fbi-drug-probe-files-legal-battle/

It's all fake.

If you say or believe that the bolded were never Biafrans, then educate us on who they were before the British came to this part of the world to create Nigeria in 1914.

The name "Nigeria" only came into existence in 1914 by lugard's mistress but, the people of the old Eastern region had been in existence before the 6th century so, stop mentioning "Nigeria if you really want us to go deeper into the history of the people una dey always call "minority".

Below is the proof that before the creation of Nigeria in 1914 by the British, Igbos and the people you're calling the "minority" have been staying together as one without divide and rule syndrome by people like you.
Oga bikonu rest, Biafra is an Ndigbo ideal and there is nothing wrong in it except when you want to start pulling other people's with their own distinct culture inside against their wishes.

Why is the advocation for a Biafran republic non existent amongst non-Ndigbo's? Even Ikwerre and Ìka, amongst others, that have a tenuous link of sorts to Ndigbo don't want to be in or associated with Biafra.

So Ibibio, Efik, Kalabari and Ogóni, for example, were Biafrans àbi? You are not serious.

I believe the Ndigbo community needs to embark on an emergency value re-orientation programme and campaign against this "getting rich at all cost irrespective of the means mentality" which is deeply responsible for this embarrassing menace.

However, I agree with you that these boys who are always getting caught are just mere mules in the game. For every mule caught, there are hundreds of mules on the queue begging the real dons chilling in palatial mansions back home to be given a chance to transport the product.

If the Indian authorities are serious about curbing this menace, they need adopt the FBI deep investigative approach even if it involves working with interpol to nab the main producers and distributors of the drugs..

All this frequent nabbing of mules consisting majorly of struggling Igbo boys trying to feed and possibly make fast money will never change a thing.

They are inconsequential in the scheme of events.
Very right in all you've said, I also believe the Indian authorities are deliberately padding their stats with all these useless arrests.

Like you said, they need an inter governmental agency working with Interpol to go and fish out the big boys and girls.

If The US can be ok with the mass importation of Caucasians from Europe, then they should be ok with importation of other people's.

Of course, you wil conviniently ignore the fact that the Europeans practised a terrible genocide in getting rid of the original owners of the land. For your info, Ojukwu and the elders and leaders of of the people you're calling "minorities or someone else" decided to secede and stay together so, get your facts right. Shame suppose to dey catch you for not knowing your history.

If I have no rights to invade the Midwestern region then, Nigeria don't have rights to invade the Biafra territory too. marriage is not suppose to be by force, you can't invade my territory and expect me to do nothing in retaliation.

You should ask Britain who gave them the right to create a country in this part of the world and to also introduce artificial boundaries in the name of states/region to separate them.

Yeye dey smell!
They Eastern minorities were coerced into Biafra, they were not given as much as the referendum that you guys are hypocritically now asking for. Why didn't you do unto others as you now want to be fine to you?

Elders and leaders indeed, would you accept a few unelected so called Ndigbo Elders and leaders making such important decisions for you? Most of the people in those minorities welcomed the Gowon creation of states that gave them greater political control over themselves instead of the Igbo yolk they were under in Easter Region. At least Western region gave Bendelites a referendum and accepted the results, una longer throat for oda pipo oyel nor gree una allow Eastern minorities comot.

They were forced into Biafra and you know it, there is a reason why a lot of them were celebrating every single time the Nigerian army chased Biafran army away from their cities and towns. A reason why Adaka Boro fought on the side of the Nigerian army and used his native knowledge of the creeks to dislodge the Biafran army. You see ya life for outside now.

Isn't it interesting that you had to conscript minorities in your Biafran army? Why didn't you give them the opportunity to say "Mba, we nor dey fight for una Ndigbo Biafra, we nor bí Ndigbo".

Was it the Midwest that invaded your wonderful Biafra, why didn't your Biafran army go and engage The Nigerian Army through the Benue Axis, turning right at Agbor, that they were coming in from? You'd rather cowardly come through a Benin that was already demillitarised and harass the innocent civilians, killing and maiming as you proceeded to Western Nigeria.

At the first sign of engaging the Nigerian Army, the same one you claim invaded your region, at that well known area of Eastern Region called Ọrẹ, the taste was slapped out of your big mouths and you had to turn tail.

Once more, go and ask The British why they lumped you in with the rest of us. I am sure they will have an answer for you.

Don't come here to misinform people about Biafra, it was an Ndigbo project and nothing to do with minorities. Also don't justify Biafran Army on Benin soil, it should never had happened.

A lot of people do not know the difference but;
Generally, the left wing is characterized by an emphasis on "ideas such as freedom, equality, fraternity, rights, progress, reform and internationalism" while the right wing is characterized by an emphasis on "notions such as authority, hierarchy, order, duty, tradition, reaction and nationalism".

Where do you Belong?
LEFT WING OR RIGHT WING
Left wing is to do with socialism and appreciating that those that never had anything also deserve the opportunities of those that have.

Right wing is all about self, screw others, I have it and don't care about those that never did.

When those that never had anything knock on your door as part of the revolution, eye go clear.

Throughout the years, right wingers have been mainly anti-abolitionists (slave trade), war mongers and hate filled against those that don't look like them.
