Letuspray4niger: Good day all, please I need ur advice
I’m the only bachelor in my neighborhood, three rented apartments. I’m in between two families, they both have three three kids each, they are all very nice people, they rendered assistance to me in any slightest opportunity that presents itself, they pack my washed clothes under the sun fold it and well arranged before I returned home. They always sweep my surroundings, when they are doing theirs.
One of them, her husband is not always around. He goes and comes once in a while, she will always like to engage me in conversation any little chance she finds me outside, knowing fully well that she is a married woman, I don’t give room for such familiarity, she always offer me food by giving it to her children to give to me. (Make I no lie I need the food cus I no fit cook) I’ll also get things for her children too.
I noticed her getting me food was getting too frequent, I started given her attitude and being very official with her, and she took caution.
The other lady is here with her husband, she will join me in my car if I’m going out maybe coincidentally. It happened she was going to my direction, also, there was a faithful day I left my apartment keys at a barbershop in front of my estate, I came back that evening looking for this barber guy his number was not connecting, I went to my neighbor's house to ask her if he knew where I can find this guy, the man was not in the house, the wife came out that she will lead me to the guys house, and me I don’t know where the guys lives.
On our way going the husband was coming back home, he saw us walking in the street of the estate, he confronted us and we told him, just yesterday I came back at about 11:30pm when this woman with her husband here came knocking at my door that her husband is accusing her of having an affair with me, that he threatened to send her parking if she dares disclose the information to me and it happened that I’m close to the husband, we both discuss about politics a lot, the other neighbor who’s husband is not always around also came out, I had to confront the husband why dragging me into ur family issues did u seen me on top ur wife, why this allegation? He said is his family issue that he will take care of it.
A this point, I’m considering taking a legal action against him for character assassination, did I do wrong for given my Neiboure’s mwife a lift Or asking for where I can locate the barber guy? I’m guilty of this)? The husband has the right to suspect, but since nothing going on between me and his wife what I’m supposed to do, should I proceed with the legal action?
Matured advice please. you can't be too comfortable with people's wife. Being too comfortable with them is disrespectful to the husband. Greet and pass. A married woman cooking for a single matured man is just not normal. |

Bahamas95: I am yet to see any Nigerian living in container houses apart from offices or security posts......They would rather build mud house and plaster with cement. Container houses are way more expensive. A 40feet Container as at last year went for at least 3million. You will need at least 3 for a 3bed apartment. Then construction, insulation and roof will take another approx 7million. It's way more than a standard bricks construction. |

Jewessgratitud3: A lady is trending online after cooking rubbish for her family claiming she only knows how to cook for herself.
Heres what her family has to say and peoples reaction to what she cooked.
Meanwhile it is very important to start teaching a girl child how to cook quite early in life. By age 9 I've started cooking. As in.. I'll go to the market then obalende market after returning from school o, we would go with a small list and buy soup items, come and still prepare it on my Moms directives. Family food o.
By the time I was ten, I no longer needed assistance. Once you're coming back from school just know you're the one going to the market and because I love food a lot it's me they'll always send to that market if I like make I knack my head for wall my Mom will tell you when you're done scattering everywhere, the money is behind the table clock waiting for you. Chai! Then I saw it as punishment but today I'm glad for the culinary skills I have. For me I will say she's very dull. With all technology present now. I think no human should say he or She can't cook atleast something someone can comfortably eat. In this present day. To know how to cook you just need internet and your a mobile device. |

[quote author=Throwback post=128368911]Yes it is not by force.
So relocate abroad, earn money from abroad, then use it to study abroad.
Nigerian economy should not be subsidising and standardising UK or Canadian universities.
Let Nigerian money work for Nigerian infrastructures.[/quote. Your Nigerian certificate is almost worthless even in your country. It wasn't like this 20years ago. But tribalism won't let you see anything. You senators are buying cars worth millions of dollars with tax payers money. You can't start from there. You are talking about getting quality education elsewhere. Your governor, senators, house members children school outside Nigeria. Keep deceiving yourself. Rubbish. |

Throwback: The next step is to outlaw forex processing for foreign education for a minimum of 10yrs.
Any Nigerian that wants to be educated abroad should look for the money abroad.
We have schools here that can take those huge amounts of Naira we employ to buy forex for UK or American or Canadian education.
We need to jump-start our tertiary education system with better infrastructure, improved quality of education, improved salaries, and improved school fees.
Tough times require tough measures. You are insane to say this. So I shouldn't go to any school with my own money. |

tasalanoni: Nl folks, pls your opinions are needed. I'm currently 31, earning reasonably well and with greater prospects for the future.
The pressure to settle down is getting stronger by the day. However, I don't consider myself psychically fit for marriage in the midst of the deterioration that the marriage Institution is experiencing.
Judging by my current perspective and disposition on the subject of marriage, I don't see myself setting down even in the next 5years. I try to carefully look at the pros and cons of contracting a marriage in today's world and I always come to the conclusion that there are more cons than pros.
I'm also not a very family oriented person in the sense of creating familial bonds and deeply cherishing them hence I derive my fulfillment and pleasure in doing the things I love to do, acquiring wealth and giving help wherever I deem necessary.
The thought of opting for an adoption is beginning to occupy the greater part of my consciousness and the reasons are few and in my opinion very valid.
1. Progeny is very important in social arrangements especially in the Igbo society. I'll definitely be needing someone to carry on the family's name and legacy when I'm no more.
2. If my perspective on marriage changes for any reason and I decide to take the step towards contracting one, I may have become a little too old then to handle the perculiates of marriage and family life( parenting, school runs issues etc). But with a child already in picture and almost a teenager by then, that part of the problem would have been kicked out.. Nb:As for raising the adopted child, myself, parents, siblings and a helper will be involved while financial responsibility will be exclusively mine.
Kindly help me with insightful and mature advice that is based on direct or third party experience . You won't just say you can't father a child. No dey lie give us here. If na true, change that rub*ish mentality. Marriage is sweet, it's a union ordained by the God and should follow in that grace. |
