Secondly, it's quiet shameful that an OAU student would use "ignorance attitude" in a sentence like you just did. I wonder what on earth goes on in that school these days. The fact that he might have made some errors in his writeup has nothing to do with the general standard of Oau. Be guided bro. |

Christianity Etc › Re: Why Apostle Johnson Suleiman Is Wrong To File A Case Against Otobo by AustinDBeloved(m): 3:28pm On Apr 01, 2017 |
Morkablog: Many of us are aware of the ongoing drama between the founder of Omega Fire Ministries Apostle Johnson Suleiman and the Comedian based singer and alleged mistress Ms Otobo Stephenie. The Canadian based singer had accused Apostle Johnson Suleiman of sleeping with her, impregnating her and dumping her after promising her marriage. The drama took another twist last week Sunday when the mother of the Ms Otobo Stephenie appeared in Omega Fire Ministries Auchi, to apologise on behalf of her daughter to the accused pastor labelling the daughter as abnormal and revealing that she has not seen her daughter in 3 years. The Pastor quickly forgave her and the daughter and prayed for her although Otobo responded on social media by saying Apostle Johnson had sent her mum death threats which made the mother appear before him to apologise. Ms Otobo went further to say that God will surely expose him(Johnson Suleiman). Now my question is why has the accused Apostle decided to sue the alleged mistress Otobo Stephenie and Sahara Reporters, the media outlet that broke the news for defaming his character and image at the Ikeja high court , Lagos State. Suleiman filed a N1 billion suit on Stephenie Otobo according to reports by preniumtimes. In the suit, Apostle Johnson Suleiman is also asking N1 billion from Sahara Reporters for damages done to his reputions and has hired four layers, Chief Efe Akpofure(SAN), Erhabor O.I, Victor Idiapho and Emmanuel Usoh to represent him. Sometimes as a christian you are forced to wonder if these so called pastors are actually Men of God or just mere Men of this World. If he does sue them to court, then tell me whats he's teaching other Christians to do in similar situations. What then is the difference between him and the publicans(sinners). A publican in such situation will do exactly just that, now where is the Christlike character that differenciates us from the people of the world? Well, don;t be surprised, i'll be going a little bit spiritual. I'll have to point out some Bible references, and if you're a Muslim reading this, just enjoy it while you do. I am not just referring to this Otobo case alone, but over the past couple of months, Apostle Johnson Suleiman has given us reasons to doubt his genuineness as a man of God( am not saying he's a man of God, or that he's not a man of God. That's for God to judge and if you're a Muslim, that's for Allah to judge. If you are a Christian or a Bible Scholar, then you're no stranger to the fruits of the Holy Spirits. The fruits of the Holy Spirits includes MEEKNESS, temperance, longsuffering, LOVE, I repeat LOVE, PEACE and yes GENTLENESS etc. Filing a N1 billion suit case against a person you claimed to have forgiven on Sunday does not in anyway vandicate your stance on the matter. One is left to wonder how much he would have filed against her if he never forgave her at all. Just like Mahatma Gandhi said, "I like your Christ, but I don't like your Christians." Is this the character a real Christian should put on? Where is the Christlike character that propels us to forgive 70 times 7. The truth is forgiveness is not negotiable as a Christian, no matter how many times we are offended. Its boldly written, when you don't forgive, your Father in heaven won't forgive you. Some comments by this Johnson Suleiman has completely gone against what is expected from a Christian. Remember when he reportedly said his Church members should kill any Fulani Herdsmen or better still protect them selves? Well, its not a sin to protect yourself, but he's too controversial to be called even a Christian. He's always in the spot light and its always for the wrong reasons. I laughed when he said "the Bible told us to pray for our enemies, but it didn't tell us how, so i'll pray for them to die." Limited Bible knowledge I call that. Its no longer a newbie that most Nigerian pastors have turned in business men, worth millions of dollars all in the name of founding a church. May I remind you that Paul the Apostle was a lawyer, he had a degree in law, a tent builder and did many other nice jobs that could make him rich but he choosed to remain simple and even lived in rent every where he went. Mathew was a tax collector, you might tax collector so whats the big deal. A tax collector then is a person that works for the Board of Internal Revenue today, you know what that means. Now he was not just a tax collector but he was a Jew working for the Roman Government. Now relating it to this present day, its like a Nigerian working in the Board of Internal Revenue of the United States of America because the Roman Government at that time where world powers just like the US today. But he still kept it simple, not showing off horses in forms of cars or Chariots in form of Private Jets. He even went further to hire four lawyers to defend him. What happened to the part the scripture that says "vengeance is for God?" On Sunday he'll have the boldness to mount on the pulpit and declare to his followers that forgiveness is a virtue right? I clearly remembered in the Bible where Apostle Paul instructed the Conrinthians never to take anybody to court citing reasons that "you go to court for an unbeliever to judge you." I rest my case, if any most of these so called pastors display just 1% of Christlike character, Nigeria will be a much better place to live in. http://morkablog..nl/2017/04/why-apostle-johnson-suleiman-is-wrong.html We sabi people like. emzreus: Honestly speaking after hearing both sides of the story from both Stephanie Orono and Apostle Suleiman I strongly believe that the apostle is indeed guilty. The only mask making this case to linger on is his perceived status as a man of God. As an utterly religious country as Nigeria is this goes a long way. I remember viewing a thread on how Daniella Okekes ride was traced to the apostle and all of a sudden evidence was removed. Why? If the apostle is to indeed prove his innocence it will be very easy to be honest. He should provide his passport in order to cross check it with Stephanie Otobo's. As well their account statements should be verified and cross examined to indeed prove his innocence. Simple. The apostle should act fast otherwise further questions will be asked. Are you the one that will cross-check it. Little thing will happen and everyone will start forming they are logical. Mchteeew |

Sex scandal: My daughter lied against Apostle Suleiman – Stephanie Otobo’s fatherBy Daily Post Staff on March 6, 2017@dailypostngr
Father of Miss Stephanie Otobo, the young lady who claimed that she had affairs with Apostle Joshua Suleiman of the Omega Fire Ministry has refuted the claim.
Mr. Otobo said nothing as such ever happened between her daughter and the fiery preacher.
Miss Otobo sparked social media frenzy on Monday after she came out to claim that she was pregnant for Suleiman.
Rev. Otobo told journalists in Abuja, Monday that Apostle Suleiman had neither been to his compound nor knew where he lived.
When newsmen asked whether Apostle Suleiman had ever been to his house for any marriage introduction with his daughter, Rev. Otobo responded: “Not at all. Apostle Suleiman does not even know where I live.”
The enraged fathered further added that he put an end to his marriage to his daughter’s mother about 30 years ago due to her unfaithfulness.
But he said he was shocked that his daughter could go all that far attempting to rubbish the reputation of the man of God, adding that he was shocked to hear all his daughter said about Suleiman.
“I was shocked to hear this thing just yesterday. I’m not part of it at all. Even that my daughter, as I speak, we are at loggerhead because two months ago, I saw her picture on the internet, through her whatsapp.
“I had a shout with her on the way she dressed and I saw her with tattoo and all that, I now advised her that ‘look, why are you dressing like this, you need to dress decently even on whatsapp, she flayed at me, giving me names, calling me names, telling me I’m not serving God and different kinds of things I cannot even reveal to you now.
“She insulted me and told me that from that day on, I was not her father any more and that I should just forget about her for life.
“If a daughter is telling her father that, I don’t know why I would be involved in anything that concerns her. I’m not aware of all these things that she’s talking about, not at all”, he said.
He admitted that his daughter told him that she lived in Canada, wondering who she knew there that she was staying with.
“She told me she lives in Canada, I don’t know who she knew there”, he added.
On the whereabouts of her daughter’s mother, Mr Otobo said: “Her mother is in Sapele. And it’s going to 30 years now that I divorced her mother, when these children were even small because of her unfaithfulness.
So, I have divorced her for a very long time.”
When asked how old is Stephanie, he replied: “Stephenie is twenty something years.
“She grew up with the mother, she was very small when I divorced her mother. What is happening now is like ‘ like mother like daughter.”
The following conversation ensued between Rev. Benson Otobo and newsmen.
Is Stephanie your daughter?
Yes, she’s my daughter
There’s this allegation through the letter by a Lagos lawyer, Festus Keyamo, that there was a relationship between your daughter and the man of God, that the man of God made proposal to marry your daughter. Did he approach you?
Not at all. So there was nothing like introduction regarding marriage between Apostle Suleiman and your daughter in your house? Not at all. Apostle Suleiman does not even know where I live. |

The conference is a bi-annual event which was hosted in past editions as follow: Federal University of Technology Akure (2002), Federal University of Technology Owerri (2004), Ahmadu Bello University (2006), University of Calabar (2008), University of Ilorin (2010). This event is part of NAPE-University Assistance Programme dedicated to the development of geosciences education, technical presentation and leadership skills in tertiary institutions in Nigeria. The theme of the conference is “Emerging Concepts in Geosciences Educationâ€. Over 100 papers were submitted from 34 universities; 30 were selected for Oral and 15 for Poster presentations. The conference is declared a huge success! Miss Doyin Ogundipe, a graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University won the first place of the competition and was awarded by NAPE full sponsorship participate and present her paper at the NAPE 2012 International Conference and Exhibition that will hold at Eko Hotel in Lagos in November 2012. In addition, NAPE will explore sponsorship opportunity for her and her supervisor to attend and participate in the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) Annual Convention in the United States in 2013. The journey started when the hosting right was awarded to Obafemi Awolowo University by NAPE executive committee members based on the successful presentation of OAU’s interest delivered at the NAPE 2010 International Conference and Exhibition by the former Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Michael Faborode who is now the executive secretary, Committee of Vice Chancellors of Nigerian University. The incumbent Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Bamitale Omole aligned with the vision of his predecessor and worked tirelessly with the university’s Local Organizing Committee (LOC) in association with NAPE to make the conference a great success. The leadership of OAU adopted this 6th edition of NAPE mini-conference as part the school’s 50th anniversary. In his opening ceremony address, the President of NAPE Dr. Mayowa Afe pledged that NAPE as an organization will continue to work towards the improvement of technical standard of the mini-conference in order to properly prepare graduates for the oil and gas industry which accounts for over 80% of Nigeria’s income. The Chairman of NAPE-University Assistance Programme (UAP), Dr. Wasiu Odufisan urged all students at the conference to use the conference as an opportunity to learn and improve both their technical and non-technical talent as the conference provides as avenue to learn effective communication skills, solicit technical feedback from peers, and develop a network for geosciences collaboration. He further urged students to make effort to attend all presentations and fully expose themselves to the technical and nontechnical rewards of the conference. The Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee, Professor T.R. Ajayi worked tirelessly with his team in the department of Geology with the active support of the Head of Department, Professor Joseph Owolabi Ajayi to organize the conference. They also introduce an innovation to the usual NAPE conference programme of activities by arranging with the drama department of the university to present a drama play titled: “GRIP AM†to the attendees of the conference to provide a relaxing evening. The event came to end on Sunday, April 29 with field excursion to the Benin Flank of the Anambra Basin, Southwest Nigeria. The trip was led by a renowned professor of Geology, Professor M.A. Rahaman of the department of Geology of Obafemi Awolowo University.
