The writer in an attempt to portray Tinubu as the victim, failed to mention that Tinubu himself led the cabals that plotted Goodluck Jonathan's removal, inspite of his so much love for southern unity and liberation. I am also not holding brief for the northern cabals and oligarchs whom I know kept quiet when Buhari almost ran this country underground because he is their anointed son, however it was same Tinubu who help brought in such a colossal failure to be president and went ahead to back the failed government of Buhari. So by this,Tinubu has lost every plea for consideration and support from we southerners. Also his system of leadership has proven that he cares less about other southern Nigerians whom are not Yorubas, from appointments to awards of contracts to the various geopolitical zones, the obvious is the case. Sadly both north and southern populace are not feeling the impart of his economic reforms, infact more Nigerians are drifting into poverty than ever before,I wish the reverse could have been the case,so that it may be a ground to make a case for him. Lastly, can't these people in their struggle to control Nigerian resources, leave igbos out of their mention,I knew the writer was getting towards their common hate for ndigbo when he wrote 'Babangida, in a moment of candor, told Omoruyi that Yoruba people behave as if Nigeria cannot move forward without them, adding that the Igbo should teach them a lesson.'I am still wondering where and why such statement was made in the first place,if not in an attempt to look for a scapegoat for their misadventure. |
Exousiang01:You are not as smart as you think yourself to be,the reporter used the word 'alleged to be policemen',and you are hear blabbing nonsense. |
Igbo matter go kill this people, this is the first sign madness and frustration added together! |
His excellency Mr Peter Obi,the man of the people, you are so much loved by the ordinary Nigerians(talakawas),everyday millions of Nigerian youths from all sections of the country and all over the world is praying for you!We know your lovely thoughts for Nigeria but pls sir, that table you are shaking now, someone is standing on it,agbadorians will come for you,as they have always done,so as to shield the usual suspect from submitting his non existent school documents.Like you know very well sir,our country is already in a big mess,we cant wait for 2027! |
gidgiddy:The 2nd division of the Nigerian Army committed this massacre against my people and we will never forget our fallen brothers and what led to their death, the blood thirsty troops were led by Murtala Mohammed,Ibrahim TAIWO and Ibrahim Haruna. They blood of our fallen brothers will definitely water the trees of freedom. If we dont find justice in Nigerian, hopefully someday,we shall,in the land of the rising sun,a land of great minds,a pride of black race, where people will not be measured by the colour of their skin, religion or tribe but by the strength of their character. God's willing,it shall come to pass!!!!! |
Some people are so shameless and want to carry their bad culture of exploitation of the masses to other tribes. Same way they took agberoism from their culture to Abuja and now,Abuja is facing some level of insecurity caused by these aliens. You cant force others to emulate an evil way of life and reckless exploitation of the suffering masses, keep it to your culture, since perpetual servitude is permissible in your culture! |
9jatriot:You are ridiculously shameless,is it the same FG with skeleton in their cupboard and has been accused severally of forgery! Like it is said in law 'if you must come to equity, you must come with clean hands'! Dey whine yourself, people like you are part of the problem and reason this country is making no head way. |
Let the truth be told, the contraption called Nigeria is not working. We will do better by staying apart and developing at our own pace.May be as regions governed by his own people or as separate nations! |
nothingspoil70:The list is endless and you ended it abruptly.Let me help you further; 1.Nigeria now the poverty capital of the world. 2.Insecurity is in all time high 3.inflation is in all time high 4 Nigerians are now so much divided on ethnic line 5 Nepotism and tribalism as never been seen before in government appointments 6. Sectional developments on certain parts at the detriment of others,as never been seen before. 7.Economic hardship of the highest order 8.unrestrained borrowing,as never been seen before 9.Lack of due process in awarding of contracts 10.strangulation of the populace through unpopular taxes. 11.wasteful management and spending of scarce resources by the authorities. 12.intimidation of opponents and suppressing of freedom of speech etc The list indeed is endless. |
SonOfDSoil01:It is easier to destroy especially from those who dont know the pain of building and how money is made. They dwell in envy and jealousy, rather than build, they destroy what others built.ThankGod for my cultural orientation as an igbo man,no time for unnecessary envy when the world is big enough for me to go and succeed while some others will prefer to blow away their inheritance on the stage of owambe and later come crying that they are buying up our land, that's defeatist in nature.Capitalism is survival of the fittest and not always hoping on the government to give you a life through the back door. Anyway, some people have been programmed to remain insecured in their mentality and it's working out for the corrupt politicians using them |
SonOfDSoil01:No no no the intention is to cunningly steal other people's sweat, the last time I checked,it is still one Nigeria, according to you people!so how dear you tell a Nigerian where to live or not.Or are we suspending the constitution? Is this not the definition of a people being insecured and rather trying to destroy others, dont think Nigerians are dumb, everyone is watching the dance of shame and it will certainly come with a repercussion. We all know what the aim and target is all about,we are keeping records and yet nobody was giving free land in Lagos, while they were using their money for owambe, others saved through manifold struggle and relentless efforts but they want it back through the back door.Things dont work this way,it will certainly attract grave consequences. Is this not a big shame and dent to a people! |
stuffs2002:...and yet he won Lagos and all hell was let loose. You can never force a people to love you,not with questionable character!!!A new Nigeria is possible. |
The shot have been fired whether true or false, let the recipient deal with it. A certain governor at the end of the day, will only be remembered for bigotry and tribalism. |
Every Nigerian in and outside the country is witnessing the national dance of shame by the Lagos state government and its intentions are not hidden any more even to a blind man...how far can a people get with obvious malicious acts? Shebi na Tinubu be president today, dont worry,Las las everybody go dey okay!!! |
mascot87:Rather agbadorians and APC misplaced youths should even be more grateful to GEJ whom is a true believer of democracy,if not, the Amaechi APC laptop boys whom were paid to stay online and continuously castigate and insult one of the best presidents we ever had, which ended the Nigeria economic growth of that time by bringing in gross failures as leaders of this nation. |
Another 'Arab spring' loading, let them dare kill him and see Tunisia go up in flames, they have a young and restless population waiting to be triggered. |
Life indeed is short and brutish in Nigeria...how many more will die before they will know that enough have died. RIP! |
I am from Asaba and I am a complete Igbo man to the core. I will never forget the Asaba massacre during the civil war, where hundreds of our brothers and relatives were massacred by deception by the invading Nigerian army, simply because we are Igbos. May the soul of my igbo brothers massacred on that day(known as the Asaba massacre)by the 2nd division of the Nigerian Army, led by col Murtala Mohammed,Taiwo Ibrahim and Ibrahim Haruna, rest in perfect peace Amen!it was one of the bloodiest event of the unfortunate civil war,my heart still bleeds. You will forever be rembered, the blood of saints waters the trees of freedom. We can never deny our igboness, not then, not today and never shall we!!!! |
Story for the gods,if your so called 'fair minded' Tinubu had wanted a Senate president from the east,it wouldn't have been a problem. So they also made him to give they least appointments to people of south East, they also made him award by far the least amount of projects to the sSouth East. As much as I have always disliked both Hope Uzodimma and Umahi, it still doesn't mean we should fall for the usual cheap treacherous people divide and rule policies against the ndigbo. |
Funny enough you won't see all those emergency lovers of terrorists, the so called sympathizers of the people of Palestine on nairaland. They are now silent and praying that Hamas do not accept the peace deal,so that the bloodletting will go on and their new found job of shouting 'genocide' will continue and their promotion of antisemitism will be justified. Anyway Netanyahu is more than equal to the task and understands very well they games played by these terrorists. |
Benzigler:A yoruba god whom created Lagos from the atlantic ocean when his people were in deep sleep and was promised by Oduduwa to hold on to it, as his and his families inheritance eventually lost an election in Lagos and all hell was let loose. 'They gods are not be blamed'! |
motymop:And in your myopic mind, you think they man has not always been a billionaire with huge network of businesses over the years. He has his tentacles allover the business world and as long as he has not been indicted from embezzlement or looting of access funds,he is as free as the air to buy properties wherever he so wishes. He is not a public servant! |
These hamas terrorists want the bloodshed to continue in guise of studying the peace plan, imagine a man whose house is on fire,is busy chasing rats. They prefer using the on going war in Gaza to gather cheap international sympathy at the detriment of the dying Palestinians. What an evil organization!!! |
Broveens42:Well I just hope he gets it right...a thriving Imo is a blessing to Eastern region,I am glad with reports from Abia,Enugu and to some extend Anambra. We must always challenge our leaders with meaningful criticism in other to keep them on their toes. |
SmartPolician:I am not going to dispute your argument but I am going to disagree with the governor in terms of world class hotels, imo state stands out as the hotel capital of Nigeria, politicians will always give a reason to invest in unpopular projects. 'Politicians are the same everywhere, the promise to build a bridge even where there is no river'-Nikita Kruschev! |
Sermwell:Imagine comparing themselves with countries you have more human and natural resources than. countries whom shortly after independence were running to Nigeria for succour and we were they big brothers and naira was running head to head with pounds and dollars. Our economy was thriving left for the period of military governance, only for APC government to come and ruin everything Nigeria ever worked for and set us some hundred years back. |
Pierocash:Oga I didn't know that Nigeria is better than Cyprus, tell me something else.....funny 'lap dogs'! |
sreamsense:Exactly the reason Nigeria is going down the drain, elections does not count, competent Nigerians are not allowed to lead the nation and ethnic consideration is the reason Nigeria is now a laughing stock in the comity of Nations.A country so blessed but yet so poor. This is a nation were you have supposedly educated youths whom are slaves to the ruling class and hopefully loves their chains. It is such a pity,we may never get it right as a nation. It is better they various regions are allowed to stay apart and develop at it's own pace. |

now that you know their intentions, would it not wise wise for you and your blodas to take your investment back to your region and develop the place? Were you all forced to come and develop Lagos? We are tired of this salty tears already
