He reminds me of Bob Marley and the wailers song 'There was a buffalo soldier in the heart of America'. RIP! |
But you couldn't mobilize against bad governance and military like imposition of state of emergency in Rivers state, the heart of Niger-delta This present government spends its resources in politics and buying up shadowy groups for endorsements while Nigerian populace suffer in abject poverty and outright decay. Governance is zero percent, politics 100 percent, that's the tragedy of our time. |
'We are at a time when saying the truth is a revolutionary act',one thing you can't take away from the Falana's of this world is that they will always say it as it is. This is not tribal bashing but truth be said, the south west have gotten it very wrong with these their present day political leaders, they are making the same mistake political leaders from the north(apology to the north),made with almajiris in the past, thinking it will always of benefit politically for them, the rest is now history, the present crop of northern politicians are now struggling in their efforts to fix it. They present day political leaders from south west have created a beast waiting to consume the region,I travel a lot and I have been to most states in Nigeria but never have I seen the mammoth number of persons whom are unemployed and are busied with being area boys, like I do see in the south west, now the biggest employer of labour in the south west is being either an Alaye, street miscreants, motor park touts, political touts, omonile etc. I keep wondering, how are the south west comfortable with this rising and impending danger. This is not to say other regions that have it's own challenges but we must kiss the truth and fix this national embarrassment caused by the selfishness of a few wicked politicians. |
Noted....Lagos island is an ecological blunder, take it or leave it.You can't even wash your cloths with water from the boreholes,so salty and acidic. Imagine that you will always have to bath with pure water or get the water tankers to get you water. With global warming and ozone layer depletion,we just hope that some day in the future, the entire island will not be submerged. I wonder how people are not foreseeing danger for the much talked about Eko Atlantic city! |
...but you voted for one that will import hard drugs! |
So last last,Yahaya Bello is now a free man even after resisting arrest for obvious financial crimes,he is even on bail, working freely....My heart bleeds for this nation,we have endemic corruption in this nation and the present government is padi padi and business as usual government. Everything is now politics geared towards 2027. |
Putindbutt:Look at this one trying to gaslight those whom knows better than him,all of a sudden, they people of south west have started loving ndigbo of Ebonyi origin more than we ndigbo. Because Umahi is dancing to emilokan, you no longer say that ndigbo of Ebonyi origin enters night bus to come and sale gala in Lagos. They narratives has changed, tomorrow if we bring out one of our people from Ebonyi to contest presidency, even Umahi himself, you will remind him that he is omo Igbo and cannot be trusted. There is no better definition of hypocrisy!!!! |
saddler:So from your narrow mind, you are they one to determine whom my people are. From your assertion,it could also be right to say that the Aworis or Ilaje or Egun are not Yorubas, since they already have an identity.....yeye dey smell. |
saddler:Bros keep your advice,I am from Asaba in delta state and I can tell you,no Igbo is more igbo than I am. Igbo runs in my peoples blood day and night. Ndigbo, onye Echezuna nwanne ya! Igbo bu Igbo. |
If you can't do the time, dont do the crime! We move on. |
What do we make of this news, may be we should start crying! |
I AM IGBO I am Igbo. I am greatness forged in fire, The embodiment of perseverance. I rise, not because the world is kind, But because I refuse to kneel. No setback can break me, No hardship can silence me. My spirit is carved from resilience, My path lit by the relentless pursuit of success. Show me an obstacle, And I will show you how an Igbo person turns it into an opportunity. I am Igbo. My ancestors traded in truth long before they traded in wealth. My word is a contract, My reputation my greatest currency. I do not beg for respect, I command it. My kings are heroes, Standing tall in honor. Dignity is our wealth, And honor is our crown. I am Igbo. The architect of my destiny. Where others see barren land, I see untapped potential. Where others see risk, I see a future waiting to be claimed. I am the lifeblood of commerce, The backbone of industry. I build empires from nothing, Turning dust into gold, Dreams into dynasties. My wealth is not luck, it is earned, calculated, inevitable. I am Igbo. Bold, fearless, and proud. I walk into any room knowing I belong. My presence is power, my confidence unshaken. I do not wait for permission to succeed, I take what is mine. The world does not have to love me, But it will respect me. I have in me Boldness, Fierceness, And Compassion. I am both warrior and diplomat, Both fire and water. I know when to build and when to defend. I am Igbo. Our graves are sacred, Resting places untouched by greed or desecration. We honor our ancestors, Speak their names, And pour libations in their memory. As skilled as we are, no skull is mined. Our greatness does not come from plunder, But from creation. We build, we nurture, we remember. I am Igbo, I stand like a garrison, Fortified, unshaken, a force in comparison. With explosive receipts, I chase down thousands, Truth on my tongue, my words form the fountains. A thinker, a warrior, a mind sharp as steel. Through battles of mind and the wars of the facts, I sing for the just, a relentless war drum. A lion in motion, yet love in my veins. I speak with a blade, Cutting through lies with the truths I have laid. I speak with a blade, Cutting through lies with the truths I have laid. I am Igbo. Generous in heart, vast in spirit. My home is open, my table abundant. I take pride not just in what I build, but in what I share. In my culture, a stranger is family waiting to be embraced. My love is deep, my loyalty unwavering. I am Igbo. Intelligence runs through my veins. I do not just follow the world’s pace, I set it. I innovate, I strategize, I lead. In business, in academia, in the arts, My name is etched in brilliance. When an Igbo mind is at work, the world watches. I am Igbo. Every December, no matter how far I roam, I return home. Because my wealth is not complete until it touches my land. Aku ruo ulo. I go to celebrate, to give thanks, To stand before my ancestors and declare, “I have done well, bless me to do more.” I am Igbo. Our women are unmatched, Beauty and brilliance woven into one. They do not just turn heads, they command rooms. They are fierce, elegant, and unforgettable. To love an Igbo woman is to understand the meaning of strength wrapped in grace. I am Igbo. The richest tribe in Africa, Not just in wealth, but in willpower, in culture, In the audacity to be extraordinary. My people do not just survive, we dominate. We are envied, we are admired, we are unstoppable. I am Igbo. A force of nature. A legend in motion. My name carries weight, my legacy is eternal. I do not ask for recognition, I carve my place in history. I am Igbo, And the World Knows it. |
Hampers001:My brother, there is more to insecurity in Nigeria than meets the eye. We are taking this road again, wasn't it the same thing Sheikh Gumi was doing a while go and the result was more banditry. It is only a foolish man who keeps doing the same thing and expect a different result. It seems some people both in and outside government could be making it big by the unfortunate insecurity situation we found ourselves in this country. |
helinues:It seems you just learnt a new word 'balderdash',anyway I don't issues with you,you just have to earn your salary...goodluck while it last |
Even Reno will be laughing writing this,at some point he would have said to himself that he is yet to see a core tribalist like president Tinubu. Can you imagine, even in his attempt to select a section of the appointments he thinks is balanced,he is still finding it hard to show that Tinubu is not a tribalist which he is. They appointments given to Yorubas from Kogi or Kwara were not even added and the ones given to Yorubas married to people of other region were removed and yet it is still very Obvious. In comparing with Buhari,he didnt classify appointments Buhari gave to Fulanis separately but rather he placed the whole north together, Tinubu's own is just Yoruba and not even the whole South. Reno will be wondering what manner of man is he even supporting. |
BlakKluKluxKlan:You guys think awkwardly, how do you expect they political elites whom have benefited from the corrupt system in Nigeria to ever say good of him.Why you see some of these politicians against him,is simply corruption fighting back, they know if he ever ascends to that seat,it won't be business as usual! I am forced to ask you,are you new in Nigeria or just being outrightly childish? |
Softmirror:Here you go again, life is not basically about self,a man only starts growing when you start feeling the pains of others, that some us complain about Tinubu's recklessly bad governance, does not mean we are not doing great in our various endeavors but how about the suffering majority whom have been subjected to the worst forms of poverty through the irresponsible actions of the government. Peter Obi is very wealthy but he has gotten to that point in life where you want to make a difference in your society. Let's vote rightly,a new Nigeria is possible. |
Reflect7:Olodo! May be he should be a life president in other to fix Nigeria. Buhari spent 8yrs achieved nothing,Tinubu has spent 2 yrs and he became an obvious disasater, even if you give Tinubu 20yrs, he wreck Nigeria. What matters is not how long but how well! |
It is good the athletes were rewarded handsomely,if only people in other sectors like the ones mentioned in the thread are also remunerated properly as seen in working societies. But we all know that everything about this government is now geared towards 2027,seeking cheap point by over squandering money when it is not necessary, you can't buy love,do they right things, fight systemic corruption, stop reckless nepotism and tribalism,do merit based appointments with consideration of the federal character, develop the political will to fight insecurity to a standstill, stop the bastardization of our judiciary, police and the parliament and encourage true separation of power, due process should be followed in awarding contracts and shouldn't be seen as a conduit pipe for politicians to enrich themselves, stop reckless borrowing, invest heavily in education and health. Then I can assure you, that Tinubu will not campaign to win,Nigerians of all tribe, religion and colour will stand by him. But we all know that he lacks the compassion of a leader and his team are neck deep into corruption that it is almost impossible to do the right thing. |
Igbophobia:Why do you think all this hatred and jealousy from a certain region is geared towards doing everything to bring Igbos down. You must understand that a 'golden fish has no hiding place'. For this same reasons, this your very educative post will never make frontpage, they control the forum. We move on! |

Holdup247:I said it,most of you are local champions, that hardly know anything about Nigeria,Igbos have been living and doing big time businesses in the North for donkey years, from Kano to Plateau, from Yola to kaduna, the story is the same, same as northerners in Aba,Awka,Onitsha,Enugu,Okigwe,Abakiliki, Asaba etc.Every northerner works hard to survive, they have touts and miscreants like every other tribe but they dont celebrate touting and agberoism, which is now a thing of pride in south west, they identify with their individual states, unlike people from a particular region, where everybody comes from Lagos....hoping for crumbs from politicians. |
Northerners have never been known to be insecured as the other inferiority complex ridden region. We are taken note of our friends and enemies,we will reciprocate with equal kind. We move on! |
Spandau:..and you think Yorubas may also not be dragging themselves into deeper shit with Igbos by their actions and words. Dey whine yourself. |
tollyboy5:How many projects has oil producing states got,yet every government in place invest on infrastructures in Lagos however Tinubu's own is done obviously with intention to marginalize others. Yet people pretend as if nothing is happening, just to give peace a chance but after spending our common patrimony on Lagos, tomorrow they tribalists will want you to believe they built Lagos with their money and efforts. You will still hear them telling other Nigerians to go and develop their states,as if they are they ones that developed Lagos. When you call Lagos 'no man's land',because Nigerian money is massively drafted to build it and Nigeria intentionally placing all head quarters of business establishments there to serve as our commercial headquarters. The tribalist will still get mouth to talk rubbish tomorrow!na laff,we dey laff...yeye dey smell. |
