no African country has been able to do the impossible. raise millions of people out of poverty, we are not progressing at all. why?
from the past you can predict the future, no government airline has ever thrived in Nigeria, hope and optimism abound at first until progress halt and decay take over

Because those airlines failed does not mean ibom air will fail . why didn't you also talk about the many that have succeeded and still succeeding. like you I have my reservation but I'm hopeful cause I know what this airways entails for Nigeria and Akwa ibom state especially if it is Successful. |

No wonder they are among the top 5 GDP in Nigeria...
They keep investing their Oyel money and making even more money
Kudos to Akpabio kudos to Udom
Imbeciles would scream Government has no business in doing business...
Yet Lagos Government are doing business increasing IGR and GDP,
Akwa Ibom is doing business and increasing IGR and GDP,
former Western Region did business and had best infrastructure then,
UAE is doing business and they have so much non oil money from Emirate, Etisalat and Ethihad,
Rwanda is doing business and they make so much from RwandAir
. No mind them. in a few years time all Akwa ibomites will be proud of this infact even app Nigerians will be proud of this. In all these countries you mentioned, the one that touched me most and made me sad is Rwanda. what they have achieved in 20 years is tremendous. Paul kagame is the best President ever in Africa history. even Buhari don't come close to the top 100. that one is a taller no 1. Buhari/APC where is our Nigerian airways? |

Hi Nairalanders, I and my Yoruba friend have been arguing about which city between Uyo and Osogbo is better using these yardsticks below-
Education Security, Infrastructure Beauty GDP etc
To me, I think Akwa ibom is better not only because of I'm an Akwa Ibomites but because of the recently released GDP Stats by NBS.
Please i will like you all inputs with evidences both Pictorial and data to prove your points. Thank you.
Note: This is a civil discussion/argument devoid of insults. that's what I expect. #Huncho Gee, #Blackking # Illaumoh please come and defend Akwa ibom with evidences
Those that thing Osogbo is better to please defend it with evidences to |

Nairaboy2015: Nigerian youths should stop turning every discussion into ethnic debate. If we could de-emphasize ethnicity, Nigeria may be better off. I flew Ibom air during my last visit to Nigeria. I must say they exceeded my expectation. The aircraft and service was at par with the Airfrance I came in. No flight delays which is common with Nigerian airlines. I was truly impressed. This is a Nigerian success story, we should all be proud regardless of our ethnicity. So you stay in France? Thank you for your Good words about Akwa ibom. What my people are saying is that we are not there yet and still have many in poverty but in 10 years we have developed faster than any state in Nigeria including Lagos. Before 2010 we were 30-33 in GDP but today we are Second after Lagos and Abuja. Bro is that not progress? |

OneMillionBoys: people who lack food to eat in this state is like 80% that's why the locals be looting shops at nights and also breaking into people's houses at nights. In my Area here we don't sleep at nights. The money for these white elephant projects should have been used for agriculture to improve the conditions of the citizens. Don't give into paid propagandas by Illaumoh and Hunchogee cos they're Udom agents Akwa ibom is not there yet. they are still poor people, but pray tell if you keep sending people who likely want to invest in the state to create jobs for the teeming unemployed youths, how then do you want it to be develop? Illaumoh and Huncho are not govt agents, i know him. he is a man that has passion to see akwa ibom grow and will choose to publicize the good about akwa ibom while keeping the bad behind. Come on, can't you see Rwanda? we Ibomites have choosen to use the power of the media to attract Investments into the state. that's the only Way Akwa ibom can become the state of our dreams! |

K1famous: Nigeria 36 state ranked in terms of GDP and per capital income. It will shocked you that the revenue of Lagos state alone is enough to feed the whole of Northern region minus kano. The combination of the Southerners, East and West are the driving force of this nation. And one barbarians is talking about land mast in the northern states. The land that can't be fertile without manure and fertilizer . The land that was majorly dominated by hills. Bullshit I'm Proud of my state, Akwa ibom. we have really come this far. We are bigger than Rivers in GDP and I never knew. All this Rivers Children especially that one called #Uchasa shouldn't be dragging clothe with us again, we don pass them. |

olugabbie: The amnesty program is something we learnt from the West. The USA has used this type of method several times. They call it psychological warfare. They west believe that to defeat your enemy, you don't use physical means alone. You also use psychological means. Not all boko haram fighters are happy fighting for them. Most if their members were law abiding citizens like you and i, that were kidnapped from their homes in North-East. So they get stuck. What the Government is trying to do is to encourage these kind of young men to come forward and give them assurance that they will not be purnished. This will send signal to other boko haram fighters that are not happy fighting for the group that they can get freedom on the other side. They aim is to continue to reduce thier numbers by killing some and winning some over to our side. But this has not been well communicated to Nigerians and even the soldiers at the war front. This is not something we invented. We are just following the footsteps of the world leaders, which make sense to me. Why spare them? Oga abeg that one no be talk. My Advice is to kill them all. After all when they capture our own soldiers they show them no mercies. Many families have been wiped out cause of them. and no, you do have a chance to join BH or not. is it not better to die than kill your fellow man just to kill for a cause that isn't just |

There is paucity of fund to face Both at a go,you can only execute one at a time ,which do you think should be executed first between Lagos-kano and Lagos-calabar route. Now, imagine if Ize-Iyamu wins the election, will the same Oba use his Mouth to say he was supporting Iyamu? What if like in the case of Kano, he gets "Ganduje-ed" for his partisan and anti-party activities? Would it not have been better, for such Oba to stay-clear and then support who ever emerges as winner? That is how smart Obas do! e be like you no know say Benin no be Kano fa?
