This is not part of what this kid bargained for. She just wanted to enjoy his money and flaunt his wealth, this whole marriage and ritual thing wasn't in her plan. But she didn't know that as far as the man's age is from hers, so is his wisdom greater than hers.

But on a serious note, what level of greed will push this kid with a bright future into this foolishness? What on earth made her think she won't get a young guy of her age bracket who will get to be as rich as this man later in life? There is nothing natural about Central Igbo. Central Igbo is an artificial construct. No Igbo dialect should be judged by its closeness to an artificial construct of a language created by using mostly Abia/Imo and Anambra words, of course, central Igbo was always going to be closer to the dialects of areas of Igboland it was mostly created from.

Ebonyi Igbo is very mutually intelligible to their next Igbo neighbors.
For example, Ishielu people of Ebonyi understand Ezza dialect very well, Ezza understand Izzi and Ikwo. Nkanu of Enugu understand their Ishielu neighbors, and so on. Igbo dialects are intrinsically connected to each other across geographical spectrum. The nearer two Igbo dialects are to each other, the closer the mutual intelligibility.
It's as simple as that.

For someone who dedicates time to bash Igbo clans outside Anambra and have no time to study them to understand the intricacies involved. You've not earned the right to made general statements on Igbo groups.
