As for the reverend father bursting people's yansh, he should stop the bad habit now else he's going to end up in shame
The Nigeria police and the media shouldn't allow this matter to die a natural death or sweep it under the carpet. They should take a step further by investigating the priest Nothing much they can do about the allegation, it is just the words of a criminal against the priest in question. And of course, he will deny the allegation, end of story. Police won't waste their time on the allegation. |

sammysmiles: Who received free meter? In my house, they bought it 60k.. Actually, some people are receiving it but those DISCOs management are smart and crooks as well. They don't give these meters to those who had paid for the meters already. What they are doing is giving the meters to those who are on estimated billing and have accumulated debt above 100k. You pay them like 10k, more like a bribe. They install the meter for you and give you the instruction on how to begin paying your "debt" in instalments. |

There is nothing like MAP in this case, the meters are from the FG to be given to customers free of charge. But this is Nigeria, almost everyone is a crook. |

It's been two months and few days since the Federal Government of Nigeria early this year launched the Special Public Work (SPW) programme which seeks to create temporarily employment for 774,000 Nigerian youth. Since then nothing has been heard concerning the programme. The question is has any enrollee been paid? I just listened to the radio now that Festus keyamo has given the directive that banks should start paying them. |

KGD10: No court ruled so. No court in Ibadan or Osun said a thing of such rather the case were thrown out when the same happened in these states.
Only Lagos court ruled in favour of hijabs in government built schools and not missionary schools. The Missionaries schools weren't involved with the rubbish to begin with because they were already under the missionaries bodies, right from the days of Tinubu. Seriously, Tinubu is a Muslim but he's actually someone who doesn't allow his religion to destroy his brain and thinking capacity. Just look at these missionaries schools in Lagos flourishing and functioning so well under the missionaries bodies. It is up to you guys to stop making issues out of piece of cloth, learn to be tolerant. Government owned schools are not missionary schools |

NwaliE01: Because people like you are the problem here. You knew the rules and the agreed uniform of that school before enrolling your ward. That's the problem with many of you. You claim to be educated and civilised but still remain ignorant of or have no regards for the constitution. Does any stupid law supercede the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria? May be you have forgotten the case of that lady lawyer, Farida. Why did you went and add to the school uniform? Don't you know what your child supposed to wear to the school? How should I know that it was forbidden or sin for Muslim kids to cover their heads? Perhaps, I should have gone on a research because we're in a country full of hypocrites, bunch of intolerant and bigots. I thought I was sending my daughter to the school owned by a Christian with my money, I didn't know that I was sending her to a missionary school. You saw all the Islamia schools where Hijab is compulsory and choose to ignore them only to go and be causing trouble in an innocent school. Abeg don't teach that child stubbornness because it's not good for her and our nation. Actually, there was no trouble at all. I didn't have strength for one. I took the easiest way out, I pulled my daughter out of the school having realised what kind of madness was going on in there. You guys need to learn from advanced Christian countries, after all they are the ones who sold Christianity to you and they are not intolerant like this. |
Politics › Re: Hijab As Red Meat Of Bigotry - By Farooq A. Kperogi by authority2006(m): 7:33pm On Mar 20, 2021 |
KGD10: They're not government owned schools because government didn't build these schools. The land and the structures were built by the missionaries bodies and not by government or any backward Muslims. These schools only became public for easy access to every child irrespective of religion, ideology etc. The contract left with the government gave the government no right over it. Public schools doesn't make it government owned schools. Ask around in USA. You dey ment? Go to your backward Muslim schools if you want Muslim settings. Are you ashamed of these schools? The court said those girls have right to wear hijab. But Muslims are the backward people while Christians who refused to compile with court judgment are what? Even privately owned schools don't have right to forbid hijab wearing. You guys need to evolve. |

You Rather put hijabs first than learning. Don't you see how contradictory your statement is? The question still remains why do you guys hate a piece of cloth just because it's attached to something? Does it hurt you that badly? Go to Muslims schools if you want Muslim settings. Ass simple as ABC. Those are govt owned schools, not Christian schools anymore. |

We need to have an honest national conversation about why the hijab triggers such extreme bitterness and hostility in some Nigerian Christians Who cares? That was how one useless private school some years back always forced my daughter to remove her hijab before entering the school premises. She was enrolled in the school for convenience of her mother. Why would anyone hate the sight of head cover because it is worn by a Muslim? Madness |

jerosman2: am sorry surprise with the comment I read here. I was shot on that day on my right legs and taken to Lagoon hospital ikoyi for treatment. You can go to Lagoon hospital to verfy. while I heard when the doctor said 7 people were brought in for treatment. He said the government said said they should treat every one brought to the hospital from gun shot wound. I was lucky because the bullet went in and came out from the other side. I did pay a single lobo while there and I was given first class treatment. I am lucky I can now work on my own. Most people shot at the toll gate are street guys without homes or living in paki house. How do you trace so people. Imagine if I died that day who would have known from my family. My family just knew am staying in Lagos but don't know the particular area. I thank God I survived but will never go to testify. I don't want to be killed. Am making arrangements to leave Lagos. My dad asked me to come back to delta state. Most street guys here work in construction company and so can't be traced. If you like believe people were shot there or not, but remember God knows everything. God will judge everyone that took part in the shoting. My advice for most of you here is to be careful and don't say what you don't know. It can happen to anyone. Nigeria is a war zone and no one is safe. Let's agree that were shot and few others too. Stray bullets could have caused that, in fact it could have led to loss of lives too. But the main question, the burning issue and bone of contention is the word "massacre" that took place that night. "Lekki Massacre" as popularly propagated! Was there a massacre? |
