HealthRe: Anambra COVID-19 Index Case Tests Negative by Avalancheman: 9:05pm On Apr 18, 2020
Nice.

"Nigerian-used" Coronavirus is one that is contracted from an infected non-returnee from abroad.

It is not deadly.

Coronavirus is not for Africa.

End the scam lockdown already. Don't allow Nigerians from abroad to return home.

We are good to go!

maasoap:
You and me haven't survived this, don't make that mistake. The problem with many of you is that you didn't want to believe that covid-19 is still gathering momentum. A fatal mistake that all of you are going to regret weeks to come. It is already hitting us slowly and steadily. How many cases in the last 24 hours? How many deaths? Quote me again tomorrow morning and the day after.

You're delusional. The same rubbish you were all spewing that covid-19 couldn't survive the heat in Africa until now.

The grave mistakes they all made. If they could go back in time, they would handle it differently.
Well, I can't say about you. But for my family and I, we have survived the Coronavirus. Glory be to God.

As we speak some countries abroad e.g. Sweden have not even locked down. Yet they haven't recorded the number of deaths countries that have been on lockdown for months have.

So far Nigeria has recorded 17 deaths, most of them returnees from abroad. I am afraid, NCDC officials may begin to ascribe all fever and flu related deaths to Coronavirus just to justify the need for a lockdown.

Many people are being discharged from the treatment centres after turning positive. Only people with deadly underlying sicknesses are at risk of dying of the Coronavirus especially if they caught the "Nigerian-used" version - caught from an infected non-returnee.

When the US, UK and co were at day 51, they are started recording daily deaths in thousands.

Come on, Nigeria can NEVER get to that stage by the grace of God. cool

There are many states in Nigeria that have confirmed cases and are yet to declare a lockdown. Yet they have not recorded deaths e.g. Oyo, Cross River, Edo. So what's the fuss abouthuh

I insist that the Coronavirus were to hit us like US, UK, Italy and co, by now, would all have been dead! embarassed

End the scam lockdown already.

Enforce the use of face masks and gloves by all and sundry.

Prevent returnees from entering the country.

Promote social distancing and high level of sanitation by the general populace.

etrange:
It's very difficult leading people.

If people are allowed to move around and the virus gets out of hand, OP will still be here to call out the government. Of all places to make reference to, it's the US; a country with failed strategies. If the US had it all together, would they have gotten this bad? Trump proposed to relax the lockdown state by state. This is still being debated and you're already dragging our government to follow suit; why not wait and see how it works for them? Even it this works in the US where the states are fairly independent, that may or may not work here. So it's not always about doing it because the great America is doing it, we must study our peculiar situations. Nigeria and the US are not even in the same phase of the pandemic; both countries didn't start the lockdown at the same time. US is taking decisions based on economic factors unique to them. They might be nearing economic meltdown, I don't know. But Nigeria should also take decisions based on our own peculiarities instead of just blindly comparing with the Americas.

Staying home in Nigeria is like a prison without food, I know this. Hunger is killing people. But these are nothing compared to what this virus can do if not controlled at this stage. Take this from someone who lives in North America. Staying at home remains the best option for a country like Nigeria at this moment. We don't have the facilities to accommodate what is happening in the US and Italy.

#JustMyOpinion
@bolded

Who told you the virus is being restricted. Even so-called lockdown has not been effective.

My brother, God has been protecting us in this country. Otherwise, if the Coronavirus were to hit us like abroad, we all would have been dead by now... embarassed

A) NEVER try to compare the US health care system with Nigeria's health care system
B) the US can manage 500K cases of the virus, Nigeria CANNOT

HealthWhat Is The Condition Of All Who Came In Contact With Abba Kyari In Nigeria? by Avalancheman(op):
Abba Kyari has passed on. He was an old man with serious underlying health issues. May his soul rest in peace.

Before he tested positive, he came in contact with a number of people in the country.

After he tested positive, some people have been handling him.

What is the current condition of all these people?

Have they also tested positive?

Are they sick?

Are they in critical condition?

Answers to these questions tell us how deadly the "Tokunbo" version of the virus is compared with the "Nigerian-used" version.

Coronavirus is not for Africa. Otherwise, by now, we would all have been dead.

Shutting the airports against returnees is the best and most effective measure for preventing the deadly "Tokunbo" version of the virus from entering the country.

The total lockdown is a scam and it is not working. More people have died during the scam than before it.

What the government should do
1. Make it mandatory everyone who wants to go out to wear masks and gloves.
2. Sensitize the general populace on the need to maintain high personal hygiene.
3. Keep the airports and borders shut especially to returnees from abroad.

With all these in place, Coronavirus in Nigeria will die a natural death... cool

Honestly, I don't get it.

Hundreds are still dying in the US everyday. I am currently watching Donald Trump.

Why is Nigeria trying to shut down completely after 17 controversial deathshuh

Coronavirus has been in Nigeria since February. If we were going to be hit like the US and co, wouldn't we all be dead by nowhuh

Shutting out returnees from abroad remains the best antidote to the spread of the virus in Nigeria. It took the government long to achieve this. But at least, it's been done.

How effective are the so-called lockdownshuh Today they are eased, tomorrow they are suspended. Sometimes they are partial. People crowd together to get palliatives. Are we not deceiving ourselveshuh

More people have even died of Coronavirus during the lockdowns than before they began.

Lassa fever has killed more people so far. TB kills dozens every hour. Malaria too (now called Covid-19 especially if it comes with flu... grin) etc etc

Enough of the lockdown madness, abeg.

What Government Should do
1. Encourage the use of masks and gloves by all and sundry.
2. Sensitise the general populace on the need to maintain high standard of personal hygiene.
3. Teach people how to boost their immunity.
