Jollylolly:People like you are part of the problem of this country. Do you know the percentage of national revenue that goes to federal govt? Do you know its the federal govt that controls economic and fiscal policies which affects the entire country as a whole. You are trying to exonerate Osibanjo and his principal for the untoward hardship they have downloaded on Nigerians maybe because Osibanjo is your kinsman. But no matter how hard you try to exonerate him history and posterity will never forget their abysmal, lawless and clueless regime in which a seed of tomato sold for N200 |
Agenda of the meeting 1. E-naira launch 2. Borrow pension money to finance budget 3. Increase charges on every bank transaction 4. Plan to renovate aso rock clinic with N13b 5. Plan to stop and harrass protesters with DSS 6. How to rig 2023 elections 7. How to implement Ruga in every state 8. How to silent opposition parties 9.Aob |
Presiding over FEC meeting is going to be one of Osibanjo's biggest achievement at the end of their tenure. He is not trusted or counted worthy to be acting president when Buhari is away. They gladly allow him to preside over meaningless meetings that has brought nothing but hardship on Nigerians. |
Tinubu presidential ambition dead on arrival. The north have spoken |
okefranci:Pls what has he done? He is a prof of law, and his govt has shown so much lawlessness, abuse of human rights, abuse of court processes, disregard for court orders etc. Osibanjo has never for once condemned these wrong doings. He has maintained an UNGOLDEN silence which I think is Cowardice. Secondly, he said he was in charge of the economy and what we have seen is a downward trend of virtually every aspect of the economy and senseless borrowings. He heads the economic team, they make recommendation to the govt on economic matters. He has not for once told Nigerians that elected him that he was not in support of such and such economic decision which implies he is fully in support of whatever economic decision this govt has taken so far. And the results of all their policies and decisions has been nothing but increased poverty and misery. |
Nobody in his right senses should support any of these candidate bring put forward by the writer. They have nothing to offer. Osibanjo is a prof of law and economics but he doesn't seem to understand the dynamics of 21st century economics. Using the knowledge he gathered about 30 years ago is not feasible or applicable in today's economy. Ordinary cooking gas is no more affordable, kerosene is a no go area. Sardine is #800 and they didn't add any extra fish. The high inflationary trend is a reaction to bad and poorly executed economic policies. |
Bluntemperor:Osibanjo said on national television that he was going to be in charge of the economy. So whatever goes wrong with the economy is clearly his handwork. Because had it been the economy is flourishing, you guys would have been singing his praise to high heavens for his economic sagacity and all those nonsense. He was elected alongside Buhari so they either succeed or fail together. Trying to exonerate him from the collosal failure of this regime is just a waste of time. Imagine high prices of foodstuff and other products in the market today. It has never been this bad. What the old school prof has consistently done is blow big big grammar and going around sharing tradermoni to market women that is not enough to buy a bag of rice. |
popez:Southwest are good in packaging and media propaganda. They are good in calling black white, and calling white black. For Atiku they will say he belongs to the old bloc politician but for Asiwaju they will say he knows how to nurture talents. We all can see the good work Osibanjo one of his protege has done in the Buhari led govt. He had successfully messed up the economy with prices of foodstuff going up per minute. Yet Yoruba's will call him the "STAR BOY" of this govt. A star that has lost its shine |
Jonwinter:Bro, we didnt elect him to give motivational soeeches. So we don't need his motivational speeches. If I want motivational speeches I will listen to Les Brown, T.D. Jakes, Fela Durotoye etc |
I don't see anything extra ordinary that Osibanjo has done in this govt apart from consistent eloquent speeches and sharing 10k to market women. Yet some people out of ethnic sentiment will call him "STAR BOY" when the fortunes of the country is fast dimming under his watch. |
Oyinlomobambam:I have friends who are very committed members in the two dominant political party in Nigeria. They told me how frustrating it is to have a say even in your ward or local govt. You are required to lick ass of the senior part members who you met on ground and positions are given on turn by turn basis. Even if it best to your turn one big politician with deep pocket can tell you to step down for his candidate. I don't believe in the school of thought that says we must join politics before our voices will be heard. The govt should just give room for freedom of expression, let our vote count and stop gagging the media, a lot of these incompetence in govt will stop. |
I remember Osibanjo saying immediately they assumed office that he was going to be in charge of the economy. I expected so much from the prof. But it turns out that he is an old school prof, a theoretical and sermonizing prof who read book and can speak eloquently. This is the only good thing I have seen him do consistently since 2015 till date. Under his watch he has successfully messed up our economy with super-hyper inflation, yet they increased VAT, charge our bank account for every transaction, they kept borrowing senselessly. Osibanjo and his team should hide their faces in shame. |
A carton of noodles I bought for #2300 two weeks ago is now #3000. Sardine is now #700 and they didn't add extra fish in it. I paid for a bag of local rice the price went up overnight. I use to fill my 11.5kg gas cylinder for #3500 now its #7400. I derica of beans is now 1k. Where exactly are we going in this country? Osibanjo thinks his good speaking skill is what we need at this critical moment. If they know they don't have Tue solution and don't want to resign but watch us suffer. They should at least be courageous enough to apologise to Nigerians for their cluelessness. |
Oyinlomobambam:Don't let any politician deceive you about getting involved in politics before they do the right thing. In a democracy its suppose to be govt by the people. They don't make our votes count, they control the media, suppress freedom of expression and tell us to join politics before our voice will be heard. |
The VP and his boss should be apologising to Nigerians for their cluelessness, nepotism and lack of economic competence that has not only impoverished the nation but to make majority of the citizens lose faith in the project called Nigeria. We have never had it this bad as a country even in the darkest days of our existence. Good good governance is not all about sharing Tradermoni of 10k or creating temporary employment through Npower. Its obvious this govt knows nothing about governance. They are only good at sending army to shoot protesters and sending DSS to harass innocent citizens. APC is just a total failure. |
PrimadonnaO:Do you like the way Buhari/Osibanjo has managed the country since 2015 till date? Bros suffer no dey tire you? |
Osibanjo is better off as a minister of " nice speeches " that is minister of communication, or minister of justice. His govt style will not be different from Tinubu' style. They simply make the govt richer by endless taxes and levies and make the people paupers |
Osibanjo has a good heart but lacks the competence to manage the economy. Some of the policies under his supervision such as Tradermoni, Npower etc are just deceptive programs with no real value when compared to the inflation rate. They increased VAT, increased PAYE, take charges on every bank transaction. All these has further impoverished the people and worsened our economy. We are still the world capital of poverty. |
PrinceOfLagos:We don't want APC and their "good candidate". If the inside of the cup is dirty the water inside can't be clean. APC is a bad platform for Nigeria. I pray for a major implosion to the party for the sake of peace and prosperity |
The likes of Tinubu and Osibanjo won't speak up against this abnormality. Tomorrow they will start calling themselves democrats. Has anyone noticed the southwest rarely speak up against illegality meted to other regions. But if it affects their selfish interest they will implore all the media apparatus to cry on mountain top. Thank you Orji Kalu for the courage to speak up against this barbaric act |
PDP...power to the people PDP always show to be a well structured and mature party than APC. Congratulations to them for a peaceful and successful convention. I hope they field a credible candidate that can floor APC candidate in 2023. |
Femi Adeshina is a Yoruba man. |
PDP....power to the people, loot to the politicians APC.....power to the govt, looting to the politicians, lying, inflation and frustration to the people |
God bless PDP. Pls God should use this party to save and rescue Nigeria from the hands of Buhari, Osibanjo and the other clueless members of the evil party called APC |
What exactly is the meaning of suspecting illegal activities. The court that granted such unwarranted search warrant is as stupid as the man who blew the whistle. |
The same way they employed to raid the houses of judges at midnight. Everything is just wrong with this govt and APC as a party. If you still support APC, you need deliverance. |
My hatred for APC and this administration is unquantifiable. This was the same strategy they used to remove the former CJN chief Justice Onnonghe and replaced him with a sharia law graduate |
But let's see how it goes |
VAT war has began. This govt doesn't fight conventionally and constitutionally. They prefer guerilla war tactics. |
Seeing the solidarity of our eastern brothers towards the hero Nnamdi KANU is a proof that the ibos are united in their agitation. Yoruba's don't believe this but it is very evident. While Nnamdi KANU is in prison, his order is being obeyed all around the south east. The guy is very influential more than Sowore, Sunday Igboho and many politicians in Nigeria |
kjhova:I don't think its an issue of trust as you have just opined. Tinubu had problems with his deputy Mrs Bucknor because she was opposed to his high handedness and proclivity for corruption. Consequently he ensured she didn't get a second term. Same thing happened with Femi Pedro. Tinubu masterminded the removal of Ambode who was seeking a second term, just because Ambode had an independent mind of his own in running his govt. I am sure you will also say he has trust for the agberos aka touts he placed on our roads to harras transporters and commuters because they are his electoral foot soldiers. |
kjhova:I disagree with you. He did this on purpose as he sees himself as a Capone in the party. His intention was to plant his men in strategic positions and to be controlling them from behind the scene. He didn't envisaged a time will come when his men will be booted out like what happened to Oshiomole, he didn't also envisage that some of his loyalist will turn against him. Tinubu is one of d most greedy politicians in Nigeria but he keeps deceiving people by appearing to be selfless. When your loyalty to him is in doubt, he kicks you out. Ask Ambode. |
