The plan of the cabal by postponing the national convention indefinitely is because nothing of such will take place in APC. Buhari and the APC cabal with few handpicked members across the states will hold a pseudo national convention and select the chairman and other executives of the party. So the strategy is that from the local and state congresses there will arise crises and factions, the cabal will recognise those factions loyal to them and they will prevent other faction from going to court. The APC presidential candidate will likely be a consensus candidate handpicked by Buhari and the cabal. |
EraseTheDot:This news of Tinubu's failing health is being reported by Sahara news owned by Omoyele Sowore a fellow Yoruba man. Why the 8 against igbos? |
Cheap image laundering. The Tinubu of Mobil is different from the Tinubu in politics. The Tinubu we know is corrupt and a political godfather who has total control of Lagos. He is not a true democrat but a demoncrat. |
God is wonderful. |
Its true that Lagos houses people from across Nigeria but if things work well in Lagos it will only benefit indegenes and non indegenes resident in Lagos. Its not true that if Lagos works well then Nigeria will be OK because Nigeria is bigger than Lagos. For instance, Lagos has one of the largest internally generated revenue in Nigeria, how has that benefitted other states outside Lagos. The VP should have constructed this expression in another way. What he said connotes once Lagos works well then Nigeria is working well and so more attention should be focused on Lagos. |
WesternOligarch:Yoruba's are not too different from the north in reasoning. These two are known for nepotism "tinwa tinwa" mentality. They don't believe in justice and fairness, they prefer favouring their people first before others. Yoruba's like Tinubu hated Jonathan for no just cause even though Jonathan was very detribalized yet they didn't like him. They fought his govt and supported a northern against their fellow southern. Today Buhari has fixed mostly northern people in all major positions and the Yorubas in general and Tinubu in particular has not for once spoken against or fought the Buhari govt like they did to Jonathan. Yoruba's often maintain an overbloated personae and hardly admit their wrong rather they prefer to speak with the parts of their mouth without maintaining one definite position on an issue. Always shifting the goal post to suit their tribal bais. If Tinubu scores a political point they will sing his praise to high heaven as the most smart politician in Africa but when he us humiliated they will change tune and claim they don't like him and won't want him to be president. This is Hyprocisy at the highest level. But the north know u guys too well and will handle u guys accordingly. |
Tinubu contributed in killing democracy under the Buhari regime. While Saraki and Dogara were Senate president and speaker of the house respectively, they checked mate the excesses of Buhari. But Tinubu and co were more concerned in installing their stooge in these positions. Today the senate and house of rep is a shadow of itself acting like a mere rubber stamp for the president. Today whatever the president says or wants is what they pass into law irrespective whether such bill is In the interest of their constituencies or not. Only fools see Tinubu as a hero of democracy, he is only a parasite on democracy. |
This is one of the major reasons why the north won't handover power to Tinubu. The north has not forgotten Tinubu's position on restructuring. The north know too clearly that Tinubu will betray the northern agenda and interest. They know all his moves so far are just hypocritical. That is why the president yesterday in Lagos shaded Tinubu by saying "someone thinks he can sit here in Lagos and decide where APC presidential ticket should be zoned to in 2023 election. After Obaseki's " Edo no be Lagos" humiliation of Tinubu the presidents speech yesterday is the next big humiliation. I sincerely think this humiliation will keep growing until it reaches a crescendo. The earlier Tinubu calls off his presidential ambition the better for him. If care is not taken he may be demystified even in Lagos.

Yoruba's were celebrating Tinubu as a powerful kingmaker who singlehandedly made Buhari president. They failed to profile Buhari accurately but were blinded by their political calculation to take over from Buhari in 2023. Those of us who accurately profiled Buhari were called all sort of names such as "wailers" to "haters " etc. But today the outcomes speaks for itself. Those who called president Jonathan names like "ineffective Buffon", " clueless" and chose Buhari over Jonathan now hide their faces in shame. Today they are crying and agitating for Yoruba nation all because their political calculation has once again been rubbished by their slave masters in the north. Everyday my heart bleed seeing how innocent lives are been slaughtered in Benue, Kaduna etc. Oh God help Nigeria |
I don't have time to read long epistle that doesn't help the common man on the street. Tinubu and his generation has failed the next generation |
Tinubu's absence from Buhari's visit to Lagos speaks volume. It means Tinubu may have been pre informed of his rejection as the APC flag bearer for 2023 presidential election. Tinubu is just realising what some of us have known 6 years ago. |
Don't write off Tinubu yet because his political sagacity, influence and affluence can throw up a last minute surprise. |
Its good to patronize our indigenous companies that is if they can offer quality and effective services as expected. However, I see this initiative as a subtle way of Lagos state govt to control and regulate the e hailing business in Lagos for purpose of extending the tax net to that sector. Recall, not long ago the state tried persuading uber drivers to pay tax and even went to the extent of stopping some of them on the way. |
Minjim:PDP is a saint party when compared to APC. APC runs a mafia kind of politics. They oppress both opposition within and outside the party, they don't support anything moral, fair or just. They only support whatever makes them politically right. APC is not a political party but a political cult of hardened, brain dead, sentential, hypocritical and sycophantic members. Even if Nigeria can't move forward, let's go back to any period before this evil (APC) befell us and Nigerians will all be better of in every aspect of our national life. Anyone who still support APC at the federal level needs a brain surgery. |
Decamping 80% loading.... |
We can see the reason Tinubu and the APC fought against the emergence of Bukola Saraki and Yakubu Dogara as senate president and speaker of the house in 2015. During the tenure of Saraki and Dogara we saw quality debates and checks and balance between the tiers of govt. Today we have a rubber stamp Senate and house of rep who care less for legality, fairness and justice. They are only concern about the politics of APC. What a shame!!! |
Another silly move by this silly govt. Thanks to all those especially the Yoruba's who supported this grave mistake in 2015. God personally gave us Goodluck but some people preferred Badluck |
Zooposki:Even if his opinions won't be taken, he should at least take sides with what is right and be bold to speak the truth. It should be on record that he disagreed openly with all these illegalities going on in the country. Better still he should honourably resign. His silence makes him an accomplice because he is part and parcel of this useless govt and shouldn't claim innocence or ignorance. |
Yoruba's won't support someone like Seyi Mankinde for presidency who is civil, well enlightened and cerebral. They would rather support the likes of Buhari and Tinubu whose ideologies are nepotistic and dictatorial. Seyi Makinde thanks for this robust response. Its so objectively expressed and void of sentiments. True leaders are not difficult to recognise. |
TheRareGem1:I disagree with you. He is part of this govt and shares in the blame 100%. A VP that engaged in vote buying in election year under the guise of "tradermoni", he is saddled with the responsibility of steering the economy upward but has steered it downwards with highest inflation, highest debts, highest poverty rate, highest currency devaluation. He was also promoting RUGA even when herders were on rampage. I expected him to have long resigned if he wasn't support of this evil govt. But since he is still Buhari and has kept mute in the face all the evils brought on us by this govt, he is an accomplice and he can never be exonerated. |
yommen:The point here is, anyone whose choice and judgements created problem was not wise and respect the person who saw what you couldn't see. Changing your mind about Buhari can't undo the myriad of problems already created and the lives lost can't be regained |
Tzar:Sincerely speaking you just said what's on my mind. Sometime ago he said Buhari is his friend so he can't criticise him publicly. He wanted Buhari to perform well to justify his 2012 protest at Ojota and endorsing Buhari as the better candidate in 2015. He is saying this to fool and manipulate us. He doesn't seem to have the courage to tell Buhari that his govt is a colossal failure |
In 2012 you led a protest against the then president Jonathan tagged "Save Nigeria" but now things are even worse under Buhari, all you can do is "discuss"? Where is your protesting skill and where is the "Save Nigeria group"? |
JohnSin97:Yoruba leaders said Good luck Jonathan was bad so they supported Buhari just to score a political point even though they knew that Buhari was a bad option. Yoruba's betrayed the rest of the south |
Buhari used and dumped you. Isn't it funny to expect a miracle from the same military rulers who plundered this country and took us backward. You supported a bigot and frustrated a patriot in the run off to 2015 general elections. The seed you sow is already yielding fruits of destruction, agitation, frustration and poverty all over the country. You once said you can't criticise Buhari openly because he is your friend, so keep your explanations to yourself |
Tinubu(APC) welcomes Atiku (PDP). He should be suspended for anti-party activities. |
A party of looters and criminals that couldn't construct their National HEADQUARTERS for 16 years want to build a country! Awon werey 100%. Going on memory lane for those that suffer from collective amnesia around, AKA Children of hate, frustrations and perdition.. The 12-storey structure projected to serve as the national secretariat of the former ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is tottering, being a borrowed vision that was not contemplated by the founding fathers of the party. After organising fundraising on two occasions and gathering billions of naira, the office could not complete that single project. As such, five years after work on the site was stopped in 2014, the new helmsmen in PDP are crying for funds to see to the completion of the building. However, the cry for more funds has raised fresh concerns over the status and whereabouts of the N21billion raised during a special fundraising dinner organised by the party on December 2014. Incumbent PDP national chairman, Prince Uche Secondus, recently lamented that there was not enough money to complete the new national secretariat, which cost has was varied upwards from N11.5bilion to N16billion. The then governor of Kaduna State, Alhaji Namadi Sambo, an architect, was commissioned to put up the project design. And in a bid to get the structure off the drawing board, PDP organised fundraising on November 14, 2008, targeting N10b out of which it raked in N6b. The dinner was chaired by Vice President Goodluck Jonathan and the highest donation came from Mr. Femi Otedola, while the richest man in Africa, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, announced a donation of N3b worth of cement. PDP in Nigeria again?! God forbid bad thing!!
So you prefer killer herdsmen APC party? If the only problem of APC is corruption, I can assure you that Nigerians won't lament this much because we are used to it for a very long time. APC is not just corrupt as PDP, APC is an ethnic centric party full of incompetent sycophants whose music lacks rhythm, harmony and beat. Imagine the level of poverty and insecurity in the country, see the level of inflation and sufferings. APC should be banned. |
uptimum123:We don't want Tinubu as president of Nigeria, you better re-elect him as governor of Lagos state or governor of south west |
Osibanjo is in charge of the economy, but his ideas are archaic, can't stimulate a 21st century economy. Ghana and Rwanda are doing far better than Nigeria economically. Shame on APC govt, shame on Buhari, Osibanjo and Tinubu |
This is the first time all the southern governors are coming together in one voice and the north are already jittery. |
This is the preferred candidate of Tinubu to head the senate. Ahmed Lawan is just like Osibanjo, rubber stamp office assistants. Saraki as senate president made democracy beautiful but they hated him and pushed him out. All thanks to Tinubu an enemy of democracy. |
For real? |
