Yes, it is very very possible for him not only to take you to the HR but also appoint you to manage one of the Branches at Asokoro Abuja or Ajah VGC Lagos or even Town axis of PortHarcourt. Why wouldn't he do that? Is he mad?

Please I sincerely suggest that you think about the City where you want to be very well before going to the CEO/MD next week. You may wish to wear Jean Trouser with Fella top and a cap to match while going. If you do smoke IGBOO or INDIAN LEAVES, take enough of it and don't forget to drink small STOUT- Pikin

Meanwhile, I don't really think there is need for you to see the CEO/MD with your CV and Credentials even if you actually have any. I will suggest that you simply go there with your Dad's Business Card ("Complimentary card"wink and some other irrelevant journals like girlie.

I wish you the best of godfatherism and IM.

We should always indicate gladness for whatever authentic pieces of information presented in this forum by any one. Your quoted response seems as if you are not satisfied with the attempt made by oremoren in furnishing the house of the Tuesday's update knowing very well he spent #150 just to pick up a copy. Take correction, please.

Hi All,

It is painful that a Cooperate Citizen like NB Plc could subject their Potential Employees under that kind of duress just for test. As if the late arrival of the invitation letters was not enough they had the gut not to have parted with Transportation fare. It is difficult to understand what they often think of Nigerian Graduates as people that will never make it in life?

To all those that went there, please do keep your fingers crossed afterall something good might still come out of Bethlehem.
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Pegging Applicants by awa(m): 11:07am On Oct 08, 2007
Yes, you made an important point here. There is no need placing people's mind high after collecting CVs without attendant consideration of such CVs. First Bank did a nice job by allowing as many as they can to participate in the their Tests. And thereafter, they were able to shortlist the people that passed the test without any form of favourism nor godfatherism involved. It is on record that First Bank recruitment is the most fair and unbiased within the Banking sector.

There is need for potential Employers of labour to make their recruitment open for as many that are qualified as possible to participate at the test level so as they will get what they want.

Dear Papalsman,

Within the last one year of my life, I have never really being so touched and mesmerised the way your testimony has left me. You did a wonderful and marvellous work in posting this account to the house because you may never quantify the number of people whose life you have encouraged. I must confess that I am touched beyond descriptions base on the awesomeness of the good God we serve.

The goodness of the Lord shall always be sufficient for those who believe in Him at all time. No matter what happens I want everyone of us to understand that God has a good thought for us and will He will never fail to accomplish His words upon us.

Thanks man for sharing the wonderful testimony with us in the house. I do enjoy every bit of it and completely encouraged by it.

It is not in my character to join issues with people but I guess it will be quite funny if I could allow you in your very first Posting in the Forum to insult my personality. Tankwa, please be kind enough to review my first posting on this issue perhaps that could soften your anger in crucifying me. Show of solidarity is well depicted when we correct each other in love here in Nairaland.

Dearest bibiking1, it doesn't really bother me that Tankwa had the gut to call me a stupid person because his ignorance of the thread's origin has been demonstrated to the Forum while he categorically exhibited himself as a naive Newcomer. Mister Tankwa your error of judgement is well excused but it might save you more embarrassment to understand threads on the floor before you just jump into them.

Be informed that most of us in this forum believe we can always make impact to the Nairaland Forum even though we are happily and gainfully employed. Being a member of this forum is not exclusive right of the unemployed. Correction is not and will never be a sign of "castigation" in Nairaland.

Therefore, Tankwa you are welcome to one of the most organised and responsible open Forum in Nigeria where everybody is somebody. One love, we all will certainly be what we want to be !!!

hi all, please how and where do you check if you passed the test conducted in august at unilag? urgent
Dear Ericale-sh,

I don't think I understand the test you are asking about. Are you talking about the First Bank Test of 23/08/2007 or the CBN Test of 11/08/2007? It could be necessary for you to explain. With respect to the First Bank, the interviews for successful Applicants have been completed between 19 to 22 of last month while that of CBN is yet to be conducted. I hope this might make some sense to you?

Please be kind enough to always log on to Nairaland that way you will be kept abreast of latest events. Nairaland has all the tips to when, where and how it is happening in the "Job Searching Industry". So updates are always available at the Forum for you.

I wish you all the best in your endeavours.

I must say that it is the Lord's doing and it's quite marvellous in my eyes. I do hereby claim my own job that's around the corner because I am sick of "working". Therefore, I need a "job" from the Almighty.

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Madam Speakers Indictment What Is Your Opinion? by awa(m): 12:42pm On Oct 03, 2007
I really wonder what Patricia Etteh should still be doing at Abuja instead of cooling off at Kirikiri "Minimum" Prison at Lagos. Better still they should send her to EFCC or ICPC for proper probing. I am glad for the conclusion of the nine-man independent ad-hoc committee as quoted here:

Conclusion: Based on the committee's evaluation, the committee concluded that due process was not completely followed in the award of the contract based on the following:

*The tender was not advertised;

* No in-house Bill of Quantities and Drawings (Architectural, Structural, Electrical and Mechanical) as such, there was no basis for arriving at the approved contract sums;

* No specific budgetary provision for renovation and furnishing of the official residence of the Speaker and Deputy Speaker in 2007 budget;

No specific budgetary provision for the purchase of vehicles for principal officers in 2007 budget;

*The procedure for the award by the body of principal officers on July 12, 2007 shows major act of omission and disregard for laid down procedure;

* The memoranda for the award of contract presented at the meeting of the Body of Principal Officers of July 12, 2007 were raised before some of the quotations for the jobs were processed.

* Some of the companies that sent quotations were not registered with Corporate Affairs Commission. They, therefore, lack capacity to compete for the contracts in question since the law does not recognise them as persons;

*It appears that some principal officers were excluded from the meeting of July 12, 2007 by not serving them notice for the particular meeting particularly the minority leadership;

*The contract sum of N238,852,151 in respect of the renovation and furnishing of the residence of speaker was for the main house and not inclusive of cluster of structures in the compound; and

* All quotations relating to the renovation and furnishing contract directed to the office of the Speaker and those directed to the office of the Clerk to the National Assembly were first acted by the Hon. Speaker for the attention of the Clerk to the National Assembly directing him to process.

Patricia Etteh is a born Criminal and should be treated as one because Speakers who were once involved in Misappropriation of funds appear better moral wise than her.

Patricia should go back to her Salon and continue extorting money from Manicures and Pedicures.

@Poster, i have been laughing seeing this post. you grin are funny.
if a stammerer sends in his or her resume for any job opening .
he or she should be prepared to stammer it out on the day of the interview .

For me i stammer a bit, but not that hard to talk type. yet when i get an interview letter. i go and speak for myself, When am facing the panel i comport myself and talk for few seconds and pause. you wont know i stammer at all. cheesy grin
Sister Stellose,

I thank God that your kind of stammering is not like that of one guy in my neighbourhood. The poor guy was nearly fought by his friend on the account that he failed to speak out at the right time. While both of them were walking down the street, the Stammerer saw "Shit" while still far and in attempt to warn his friend to be careful; the Stammerer started saying Seeeee Seeeeeeee Seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Shhhhhh Shhhhhhhhhhhhh Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh SHIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTT. Before the guy could ask him where is it the Stammerer said YOU DON'T MATCH AM.

Well, the God that introduces itch on the body will as well give the nails to scrap it. The Stammerers do pass interview with ease to the glory of God.

Hey folks,

This is unacceptable, agreed his sentence was a'little out-of-the-way, but no one made an attempt to address his query.

If most of you are so good at what you do, you all shouldn't be on this forum, y'all should be moderating your forums. After all most of your leaders ain't any better, what have y'all done about that?

Kroy:
I'm with DB, but don't have any updates for you, i will try update you as soon as i can.
mudom,

Reading you was interesting until I saw the second paragraph of your submission and I quote here for reference purpose: If most of you are so good at what you do, you all shouldn't be on this forum, y'all should be moderating your forums. After all most of your leaders ain't any better, what have y'all done about that?

Whatever you meant by that remains an illusion. One question for you mister; are you telling the House that forming individual Forum makes one a 'Guru' in one's chosen career or endeavour? Even though I don't want to join issues with you yet, I think you got it all wrong.

If I heard you right, you made us to understand that you are working with Diamond Bank and will that make Brother Seun better than you all because you don't have a Forum of your own? With due respect to Mr. Moderator, Bro Seun knows quite well that being the Initiator of Nairaland doesn't make him yet another Phillip Emeagwali nor Bill Gate.

Well, most people in their posting have tried to impressed it on Kroy to dot his i's and cross his t's before posting any issue(s). Therefore, I don't see any plausible reason why you should inadvertently 'insult' our 'intellectualities' just because we corrected an erring Brother. Afterall, are you not happy on how sound and articulate your submission was? watch your tongue!!!!

Patricia Etteh (this is becase she doesn't deserve to be addressed Madam Speaker by me any longer) is a shame to motherhood and I really wonder the kind of home she might have, even the children she might nurse. I wept for her and the nation when I heard the details of the investigation. Etteh was a woman God elevated from Hair-dressing, Manicure, Pedicure, etc of two-shop apartment to being the first female to have occupied such prestigious position in our land.

Patricia Etteh has found it difficult to follow the indelible foot-prints of the likes of Prof. Dora Akunyili, Dr. Oby Ezekwesili, Prof. Ndy Onyi-Uke Okereke, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Esther Nenadi Usman, ( even though these women are not Saints yet they have done alot for the betterment of the nation) because she has no pedigree nor antecedent of honour in her life.

Well, Patricia should do herself more favour to RESIGN than wait for IMPEACHMENT which is unavoidable in her case. She might have used her "bottom-power" paying in "KINDNESS" rather than in cash to deceive many over the Months but let us see if She can spend the ill-planned two-week recess to lure better number of the Reps. to her side. As for Ume-Ezoke of ANPP or whatever you people call him, nemesis will catch up with him sooner than later.

Once more, I must confess that Patricia Etteh's action is a simple betrayal on the motherhood and embarrassment to the entire nation in her war against corruption. Well, for now I don't have much time, otherwise I could have make a dissertation on the issue but the litmus test has being set for my Beloved Mr President Umaru Yar'dua to tell the whole world what his true nature about corruption is like. Etteh MUST GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SIMPLE
