Acekidc4: How does their strike affect Nigerians?? It affects transportation. If you don't use their services, do not think others don't. So many persons depend on them for their day to day transport. Many do not have the luxury to go outside and start looking for a taxi. Even at that their rates are lower than rates of taxis picked at random from our roads. The whole of the month of May, I used bolt for my day to day movement and it was effortless. I guess to you, people like me are not Nigerians. |

seeyounow2: there is no oil in delta state too on land If you could remember very well, during the time of Obasanjo and the onshore offshore dichotomy issue. Victor Attah of Akwa Ibom and James Ibori of Delta were at the forefront of the battle, because they know they stand to gain more.Note that in Delta there are onshore wells as well. Eg those in the Isoko, Kwale, and Burutu areas. |

Actual crude oil on land is mainly in Rivers and Bayelsa. That of Delta is both on land and offshore, but more offshore. For Akwa Ibom it's almost 100% offshore. |

Sorry mate, but if we keep our subsidy, with a 200million population, we would soon run out of money, and then we would be in serious trobule.
Good morning.

The problem is, Libya produces and earns revenue for a smaller population than we do. Comparing Libya to Nigeria is problematic in that sense.
We can't afford the subsidy anymore. If we keep it, we would go broke in the next few years. Seriously broke to the point that we cannot pay salaries, or anything at all. I'm only letting you know that you should stop garnishing your points with lies. You have a great point, but lies won't help.
Nigeria is a broke state, looking at our resources compared to our population.
To be frank we have a useless population. An unproductive population. |

Politics › Re: How Much Is A Liter Of Fuel In Lybia by AwkaFinest: 7:13pm On Jun 01, 2023 |
nairalanda1: N14 or 14 naira.
However, before you start
1. Libya produces about 5m barrels of crude a day .(Nigeria...1.8 m bpd)
2.Libya's population is not up to 10 million people.(Nigeria, 220 million people).
Assuming oil price is 80 dollars a barrel, Libya would be earning about 400m dollars a day. Divide it by 5million...and each libyan gets 80 dollars.
Nigeria? ..we earn 144million dollara a day, divide it by 220 million and each Nigerian gets 0.65 dollars.
That's why. Which kind lie be this? |
