We can't afford the subsidy anymore. If we keep it, we would go broke in the next few years. Seriously broke to the point that we cannot pay salaries, or anything at all.

However, before you start

1. Libya produces about 5m barrels of crude a day .(Nigeria...1.8 m bpd)

2.Libya's population is not up to 10 million people.(Nigeria, 220 million people).

Assuming oil price is 80 dollars a barrel, Libya would be earning about 400m dollars a day. Divide it by 5million...and each libyan gets 80 dollars.

Nigeria? ..we earn 144million dollara a day, divide it by 220 million and each Nigerian gets 0.65 dollars.
